Tips for level 655 Candy Crush Saga
This is a challenging level!
Right from the start you need to be looking for your stripes and wraps to make your combos.
Don't leave the bombs too long, the countdown isn't very long and they soon get to zero if you neglect them.
If you get the wrap combo first try not to make more wraps as they are likely to blow up and spoil any stripes you are setting up.
It's just a question of careful planning to get the stripe combos.
If you have a choice of two stripes make the top one first so as not to spoil the other, then make the bottom one and with luck they will fall side by side.

I can't believe I've gotten this far, haven't spent one dime on this money-sucking game since the 200's, and this damned level is the one that is gonna make me quit. It's virtually impossible. I have one friend who's beat it and the only way I can see how is if she bought like 20 extra lives 20 times. It's ridiculously stupid, I hate you King and I can't wait to uninstall and never be tortured by this stupid fucking game again.
The developers lose the plot and the customers when they make a level such as 655. Too hard, destroys strategy and therefore the player's concieved belief that their brain power can conquer any difficult level. This is where 1,000's of customers walk away whilst the the developers think they are just too smart. Smugness on their part but King loses lots of revenue and lots of credibility. Really its a matter of just waiting 'ages' for the cannot lose game to happen and that also sucks as the player has no real control over the games. Idiots one and all
2 days you guys are saying - almost 3 weeks for me!! But unlike most other levels where I could see it was do-able, I can't here!! I get them lined up and they all fall through the bottom! I used to play the other levels on all 3 devices, but this one, I sometimes don't even go to every day. Maybe I'm getting over Candy Crush!!
I have been trying this level for weeks....on my iphone, my ipad, my laptop AND my desktop. Hundreds of tries and the closest I've gotten is 2 combos left. Half of the time I can't clear the bombs. I think I am done with the game now, Its been a fun ride, but I don't need the frustration any more.

Sooo agree!!! I've been stuck at this level for over a month. Never get anything but useless fish on the spin (that's another story... how do you get to level 655 without EVER ONCE hitting the jackpot??!?), the only thing I can see that people must be doing is buying extra lives. I've never come closer than 3 left. It's beyond frustrating. All the way to here you always felt that you would beat the hard ones eventually but not with this hateful level. It will do me in. I given them a dime in over 300 levels, maybe King knows that and is hating on us!!
So true! Just keep plugging imagine the feeling when you finally crack it, just have, 3 stars no boosters with 2 moves left. Now 656!
Nah, I play games for the fun of it. I don't play to be frustrated. At least the hard levels prior to this, I could use some strategy to try to beat the game and I knew that sooner or later, it would pay off. This level? There is no strategy. Not when you have stripes and wrapped candies going off for no reason, and every time you get a few stripes, the board does a cascade and blows everything up. Sorry, not paying a dime, especially knowing it wouldn't do me any good anyway. Count me as one of the ones that are gone. Maybe I can finally catch up on Sons of Anarchy :)

Level 655 is way too hard. I think that after all the time playing this game, I am done. I used to really enjoy the game, it was fun, but when you keep tryng and tryng, and get nowhere, it wears you down. Well, I am done. Goodbye Candy Crush, another one bites the dust!!

In my last attempt, I had 3 stripes (of different colors) made on the left with no other possible moves (of any kind) in the area. So I moved over to the right side. Moved one candy and, BOOM, all 3 strips on the left exploded.
Then I made a green wrapped candy and an orange striped. The wrapped candy was next to the hole so nothing on its left and a blue candy above it. The striped was next to the blue candy with 2 blues beneath it. Switched the oranged stripe with the blue candy to make 3 blues in anticipation of switching the striped and wrapped on the next move. Nope...they exploded on the orange and blue switch. Come on, Candy Crush.
I can't beat a level that doesn't follow the same rules that applied to the last 654 levels...

Completed 654 levels, some where difficult, but at no stage did I ever feel I was without a chance. However, I have been trying to get the 6 combinations required to complete level 655 for 6 weeks now. The closest I have achieved is to get 4 of the 6 requirements, and this only twice. I have had some excellent boards, which have been destroyed by mysterious cascading explosions... I truly believe this level should be investigated by a gaming standards organisation as being a world wide attempt to produce emotional stress and behavioural disorder... CC (King) need to explain their reasoning behind this level. Time to play Angry Birds...
Oh, this is a stinker! Regardless of how you want to protect candies, if something is matched and you set it off, you have no way to control what it does to the rest of the board, so you essentially can't 'set up' other moves. The bombs sometimes have no matches early on, so one or two are ready to explode in short time. I think it's just going to be a lucky break!
This was hell - spent about a week on it. Found it was easier on facebook/pc as it didn't drag all your specials down and out when you a vertical stripe went off. Had to use my feebie gold bars in the end to get extra moves. (I had one more combi to make which was the best I'd done - couldn't bear to go back and start again.)
As of today (October 1) they have UPDATED this level on the computer version. It previously gave you I think 35 moves and your candies wouldn't fall straight down through the bare blocks, they would fall around them. Now you get 50 moves and the candies will all cascade down, even though the empty blocks. The level is SIGNIFICANTLY easier now. Almost completed it on the first try, and did complete it on the second try.
OMG!!! I came back here to to add my fourth negative comment about this level and read the previous comment about the update. I got so excited, went to play it, and passed on the fourth attempt. Thank you, Candy Crush!!! Finally onto 656!

After 3 weeks of playing this level I finally passed it and only because I paid for 5 more moves. I needed only 1 more turn to hit the 2 striped balls together so paid for it! Played this on my iPad so it can be done on a mobile device but when I played on my desktop I found there was not as much cascading. I also used the 2 check mark boosters I had which I didn't on my iPad and they brought me within 1 combination of passing. I think the check marks are the way to go if you have them!

I hate this level, this is ridiculous. Uninstalling the game, its no fun any more
Lost all interest. It was fun up till now, just boring now. It can't be beat. And I don't believe anybody that said they did. You cannot plan moves, everything blows when it's moved. Good luck to those still trying.
This level has been "fixed", so there's actually hope! I came within one combo! If you play on the computer--there are now less empty spaces, 50 moves instead of 35, and the candies fall through the spaces instead of going around. Good luck!
Finally passed after 3 weeks of playing not even close to getting anything. Waited for a lucky board (laptop better than mobile) then used switch boosters to move stripped and wrappers together. Use those hand switch boosters, and wait for that lucky board.
OMG I finally beat this horrific level. I had 2 more combos to get and I used my daily free boosters to get them. Over a month and a 1/2. So glad to be moving on! Whew!
I finally beat this level, the moves have changed to 50 ( I don't know when, I had given up on it for a long time ), now it's not easy but finally do-able. As always, it helps to get lucky!
So now I've been stuck here for well over a month. They have added moves to the Facebook version now (whoopee, now there are 50 chances to lose) bit not the mobile for some stupid reason. I get on every day and use my five lives knowing there's not a chance in hell I will beat it. This is by far the most frustrating, stupid and idiotic level in the entire game so far. I'm never giving them another penny of my money so I'll play every day until some miracle happens. I hate you King!!!
I quit playing Candy Crush a week ago, as I found this level boring. Played it for a week and never even came close. Boosters would be of no help. Glad I did, so relaxed now! Huh-bye, CC!
Did it on my pc with 50 moves available and a more stable game, only 35 moves on my phone. Crazy.
Nearly 2 months on this evil lvl..... I'm done. I can not keep trying because trying gets me no where and boosters are pointless on this lvl..... Beyond dissappointed with this lvl

BIG HELP FOR LEVEL 655! Play it on your PC! Had been on it over a month, so boring, didn't even play it but every few days. Then got on PC. You get 50 moves, not 35!!!! And things don't blow up nearly as much as on my phone or tablet. I passed it on the second try and even had moves left!!!! Passed the next level easily too. I had really decided to quit, but not now.
Ok I was stuck at this hateful level for over two months. I finally beat it yesterday by accepting Kings offer to play another game, some dumb game that was similar, I don't even remember which but they offered 5 hammers and 5 new lives. So I played the game and I made sure to do that on Facebook because you get 50 moves there you don't get 50 moves in the app on the phone. I finally beat it, I could not believe it, that was the worst level yet and don't let anyone tell you that the next one is worse because it's not, it's actually kind of fun and I've only been on it for a couple of days and I'm getting close. Finally.
Just like above comment, I would consider spending some money also if I have a chance beating this level. But closest I came was 2 more combo and I would've lost even if I bought an extra lives. It's been almost 2 month for me and I don't even know what easy/lucky board look like anymore. I stayed away for a while to see if cc made this level a beatable. Well, I see it hasn't :(
Gamers - use the PC version. I went in via facebook. following a tip on this list, and after at least 6 weeks of random candies cascading, exploding and obliterating the stripes I had set up, I read a post that said go to the PC. so I did. on the PC the random blow-ups don't happen and I did the level this evening in about 10 tries.
so thanks to whoever posted that, and everybody go to a pc for a bug free version!

Smooth sailing through most of the 600s, but stuck now on this one for weeks, only coming close twice. Extremely frustrating!
Omg been stuck on this for over a week. Fed up of stripes exploding for no reason after struggling to make them..or disappearing into the board.
Wasn't giving up, but didn't have the motivation to play everyday. Stuck for over 6 weeks, only came close once in the first couple of games and could've used a HAND to switch a wrapper to finish off the level, but thought "this level won't be that hard" and never came close the next SIX WEEKS! Update came and BADDA BING, easy peasy. Even reading other posts where 656 is apparently impossible too... finished it on the second try. Now excited to play again and on 659.
Did it on Android today, first try. Updated, more moves avail, and the borders are transparent now and candies don't funnel... you'll see what I mean when you try it. Significantly easier to the point that I beat it first try in this new format.
FINALLY passed this level after a couple of weeks of trying. I'm afraid I can't give any guidance or strategy as it was down to pure unadulterated luck. Managed to get the final combo with my last move after one of those "glitch" blow ups luckily got rid of a few rows between two stripes I had made. No boosters and three stars- but as I say totally down to luck. Happened to get the wrap/stripe combo before the bombs had counted down, then another combo early on. It got so I was quitting games part way through as I could tell it was futile to continue.
Come on king- this level is shocking. No more like this please!
Passed this level the other day.. worse level ever.. I only passed it when King decided to help.
It took a while to get passed the level with 50 moves.I don't know what they were thinking with giving the player 35 moves??

I have come back to this level after not playing CC for over 2 months as everyone before has been saying it was no longer fun playing for months & having no hope of passing. Now after the last upgrade King have finally changed the size of the holes & guess what, I passed after a few attempts! They must have finally realised loosing their players was hitting thier bottom line. They can't make anything out of a game people won't play! By the way, try playing Cookie Jam next time your stuck here, it's lots of fun, just like CC used to be!
At least I'm not alone in my frustration. What are the developers thinking? Why chase away your customers? I'm going to give it a couple of more days to reach that lucky board.
Didn't find this one too challenging - don't know if something got fixed but got through it on 3rd board with no boosters, 6 moves left and 3 stars. I made the stripe-wrap combo first after getting rid of all but two bombs. Then stripe/stripes were pretty easy to pick off. I kept moves mostly at the bottom of the board. Don't pile up special candies all over the board or they'll all blow up. Make them and break them one at a time. I used two chocolate bombs to knock out a particular color to drop a stripe one space to get it next to another stripe. Good luck crushers.
I posted a couple of days ago believing I would never get through this level and lo and behold, I got through!! Took a couple of lollipops, but it worked. Thank you Candy Crush.
Right after looking for help here and coming across about 60 people whining about how unfair it is and how they're going to quit ... I beat the board with five moves left.
You'd be amazed how often that happens.
If you want to quit, quit. I'm sure King will keep making its coin. But you might want to take note that people are complaining the same way at Level 702 ... and 745 ... and 779 ... because THEY'VE gotten through all the levels you've complained about.
I could not get close as my stripes kept on exploding best I did was get 3 out of 6 however just downloaded update (the one that has gold bank) and I came down to one to go on my first 3 goes and got it on my 4 th attempt. It is now a easy level
JanC here. Yup, that was tedious. Got the previous two levels first try, three stars but not this one! Guess I have more trouble with the ones that are "twitchy" and explode what you make before you can combine them. But I did get it after a dozen tries. Patience!
I thought it was quite ok. I got it on my sixth attempt. We've seen far harder.
I made stripes where ever I could and often they would end up next to each other. As soon as I got a wrap I would focus on making a stripe near it. I got close each time and finally I got it out with 15 moves to spare and 3 stars. Sprinkles didn't feature in my winning game.
So, persevere, you will get there
I finally made it after 2 days by leaving the color bombs intact when they were spontaneously produced. It seemed that the color bombs took up space that would have produced accidental stripes and wrapped candies from setting off in the cascades. Maybe I'm wrong but I'm on to 656. Also, other people are right about glitches on this level. I play on Ipad and could see candies falling behind others and disappearing.
Having given up on CCS a few months back due to this level, I recently updated my phone to the latest iOS and updated all my apps.
I fired CCS up to see if there were any new features, had a look at this level and it appears that King have modified it to make it easier. I passed it on about the third go!
Something must have changed took three attempts much easier bombs no problem.
Been on this one for 2 days watching the wrapped candies explode without reason....now I just played it again and deliberately hesitated just to see what would happen next....2 wrapped candies I worked so hard for just sat there and exploded for no reason what so ever...this game is surely rigged
ok, dunno if candy changed it, but i finally got through this, yes, no joke and three stars, no boosters.
After reading some of the 270 comments I was determined to pass this insane level. I stopped playing on my ipad and jumped onto my trusty old android mobile and low and behold I passed it. Maybe I had a good board but I figured just do one or two stripes at a time, insteadd of creating them all over the board. I just planned my next move carefully, remember no time limit. The stripes sometimes fell next to each other and I could easily move them. So u can do this, oh my we have come this far, don't give up!
My tip for this level is to first control the 1st set of bombs. Because they are timed. Next work on the stripes order first. Watch for a wrapped, So you set up the stripe/wrapped order. I was trying to get stripe/wrapped order first. That didn't work!
