Candy Crush Saga level 821

Tips for level 821 Candy Crush Saga
You need to collect 20 striped candies, 20 wrapped candies and 15 colour bombs in 40 moves!
Sounds like a big challenge!
The wraps are the most difficult specials to make for most people, but there are already some mystery candies and lucky candies on the board at the start, which with luck will give you some of the specials you need. I found that by concentrating on making colour bombs, but looking first for a chance to make a wrap, worked best for me. You can switch a colour bomb with any candy to take a colour away, or even switch with a wrap and with luck more wraps will make themselves in the cascades.
The stripes should be no problem, either switch a colour bomb with a stripe to get them, or better still just allow them to be made as you work on the other specials you need.
Switching a stripe and colour bomb tends to mess up the board and leave you less chance to make the rest of the orders, so I tend to avoid doing that unless I really need to.
In the end you need a bit of luck with the mystery candies, as they can often turn into bad stuff and ruin an otherwise promising game.

Get the wrapped candies first. The stripped candies take care of them self's. Get your color bombs when you can. Also color bombs with a wrapped make more wrapped. Good Luck .

Omg only on e comment!! Guessing.most are stuck on the last two levels.....Ithey gave me a hard time however got thru them suprisingly well once I figured the best order...this one I can see the wraps being the issue..taking tips and lets go!!

After posting above and some perserverence an hour later done. 2 moves left needing two sprinkles., Made one and seeing another ready I smashed it with a hammer then it was done. Omg it was hard but also a fun level. One more color wld hv made it impossible. I think if u get a sprinkle/stripe early match it cause it helped. Also dont waste.moves setting off wraps etc too soon. Just go.slow.and make all wraps and sprinkles as u see them. Good luck

Pff. Made it. Concentrate on sprinkles. The rest comes with it. Play slow and search for them on every move. Good luck. JJ from NL

This one was soooo brutal for me. I tried everything possible but still always came up shy of one wrap or one color bomb. After two days of endless playing I did just happen to beat the level. As for tips I tried everything and until that lucky board nothing worked. Just make sure you check every board for color bombs they are most important.....Luci

There were many more comments on this level last week...now the're gone....??

Been on this level for two weeks now and I can't see how I will get it over with. Am always short of 2-4 chocolate bombs. Aaarrrggghhh!!!!!! A very NASTY NASTY level. Maybe it,s time for to call it quits with CC :(:(:(

Anonymous said...

Took a few tries, but I enjoyed this level. It's a mixture of luck and skill, but, for me, I could see it was doable, so it was a challenge, not a frustration. Reading the tips, I wasn't sure if I should go for wraps or sprinkles, so I went for whichever of the two I could make at the time. I didn't worry about the stripes, and only combined a sprinkle/stripe if one offered itself and I still needed several. Maybe I got some lucky cascades.......

I got it on third try BUT the gamed bugged at the end and I had to click on the on/off button. So I lost and had no life left... Grrrr...

Anonymous said...

We've all said this about other boards, but this one seems impossible to me. Haven't come close. Maybe I need more luck, because I don't know what else to do. Interesting board, but I'm getting frustrated.

Been on this level for weeks now, awful!! I finally gave in and bought 5 extra moves because of a lucky game where I only had three chocolate bombs to do. I hate these awful levels, and I hope I can have some fun on the next ones before another one like this pops up.

Anonymous said...

Difficult level but kind of fun too. Hardest for me to make choc balls. Waiting for lucky board.

Anonymous said...

Spent days on this, got all chocolate sprinkles 3 times but needed wraps. Eventually bought 5 extra moves to get a last wrap, and used red hand free booster.

Finally did it guys after trying to buy some bars TWICE. Each time-my computer shut down. Guess King got tired of being $issy and let me win. I got 3 stars and no boosters. I hope you guys can get it too soon. Good luck.

Finally! Thought this level was the one that I couldn't beat. But after 3 days and many tries, I got a board where I could make chocolate balls. Don't even bother trying to make stripes. They will take care of themselves. Concentrate on sprinkles and wraps. Sprinkles are harder to make. Without them you can't win. Glad this one is over!

I cannot beat this level! UGH!

I've been playing for several days. Really hard level. Getting annoyed by is level.

After working this one many times on mobile and laptop, I could see that it was most doable on the laptop, so concentrated
my efforts there. Knew it would take a lucky board where chocolate balls would turn uo frequently, and that is what happened. Won with 10 moves left with no boosters. Fun level, but it was getting frustrating. JS

Hard level. I would rate this as hard as 819. You really need to hope for lots of cascades creating either wraps or colour bombs. You can play for these by using your colour bombs wisely. Good luck regards AJ

This was Candy Crush at its best.
Fun but frustrating.
Really hard but clearly a skill level, of course with some luck.
Best tip I got from above comments was don´t rush and concentrate on sprinkles and wrapped.
Think I been on this level for 5 days.
I got closer and closer all the time. I.e got better, when you 1-4 away it will succeed sooner or later.

How anybody can play this game without eternal lifes, (mobile phone), and not paying is unbelievable
Good luck

3 very hard levels in a row (819-821).....hoping there are some easier levels coming up. I finally beat 821 after several days. Knew I would eventually get it. Won on the very last move with no boosters!!! Good luck everyone....you can do it.

I combined colour bombs with wrapped candy repeatedly which kept creating more colour bombs and wrapped candy etc. and made this level much easier. With 10 moves left I managed to get the final 3 wrapped candy I needed to pass this level but it took me many tries to get this lucky board.

A few tries????

A few tries????

1 go away on only my 2nd try but decided not to pay to continue even though I could see how to beat it with only 1 more move. Spotted next to a stripe sorted out all the stripes immediately. Spotted next to a wrap seemed to being more of those. The rest must have been luck. Nice to have a fund easy level after the previous 2.

This a level that relies on cascades and cascades happen best on laptop and pc. Combine a sprinkle with a wrap wherever you can, for some reason that brings more of both.
If you have to play on an App clear the sides to make the area larger to work with.
But I played this for days on the App and only twice on the pc before I had an easy win.

Anonymous said...

Getting frustrated and discouraged. This is my third day. I read above post that playing on PC is easier but I only play on my iPhone. Has anybody beat this level on iPhone?

Ultramum said...

Finally made it through 820 but this seems even worse ... Cannot believe people think this is a fun level ... Resigned to wait for the lucky board ...

Anonymous said...

always love the lucky boards!!

Anonymous said...

been on this level for ages and have tried all the strategies posted. Sometimes I get down to 1 of something left, but at that point there is nothing you can do. No one method works. I think that when the developers want to let you pass, good boars will come and until that time there is nothing that will be consistenly helpfuls.

Anonymous said...

Right? My sentiment exactly! Lol. I want their board.

Thanks for the tip that it's easier to do on a laptop. I play almost all the time on an iPad but had a go on my laptop and bingo I did it!
Where are you Jan C I miss you

I posted the comment Feb 18th about being on this level for ages and ages and trying every strategy. Finally gave up strategies and now just play. Still haven't won this level, BUT, using No strategy at all I am getting the same number of combos as before when I concentrated on making them. So, lucky board, where are you? Very tired of this level...

c/candycrush here.

Shades of level 819, only much easier.

Go for wraps first, or a colour bomb if you can see a place to make one. The stripes will take care of themselves.

I found a stripe/wrap combo helped get the cascades happening, which helps to self generate a few of what you need.

Took me a few tries. Was almost tempted to use a red hand to switch candies for a colour bomb but had enough turns left to wait so did it without boosters.

Use the colour bombs to wipe out one colour at a time, to give you more chances.
A colour bomb/ stripe of course will take care of the stripe orders too.

JanC here. Got it within five lives, three stars, no boosters, thanks to tips here. The matching sprinkle to wrap tip I wouldn't have thought to try on my own but on this level, it really worked! Thank you, commenter for that tip, and of course Ms Cookie for her tips to ignore the stripe order which fills itself and concentrate on the other two orders. She was right too I think about how it works against you to match a stripe to a sprinkle since it messes up the board somehow. I had to do it to get all the stripes but it was a close thing, right down to the last move.

Was fun at first, not so much anymore. UGH

I find the color bombs BY FAR the most difficult here. Stripes easy, wraps Ive completed a few times, not yet to get within 5 color bombs

First try on my PC. I was at for weeks on the tablet... thank you to a previous comment that reminded me the needed cascades are not easy to come by on the tablet. Yay!

821 should be rated "Insanely Hard" on Wiki just like 819 and 820. I suppose not enough people have gotten past the last 2 levels to push for that rating. It is only listed as "Considerably Hard" which is WAY underrated.

Anonymous said...

By the way this one is not much easier than 819. It is as bad as 820 and WORSE than 819. Too many color bombs are needed!

Anonymous said...

I was on this for a week and couldn't come close. Tried it on a pc done in 2 tries.that just sucks that it's so different. Sorry if you can't play on computer.

I can't play CC on my computer, but I beat this level on iPad after approximately 25 tries. The level is hard, but also fun, because for a change selfdestruction of specials is not a nuisance but welcome, becuase it saves moves.
Don't care for the stripes, they usually take care of themselves. Concentrate on color bombs and wraps. I agree that it is not helpful to match a color bomb with a stripe. I did it and in result got a board with no question mark candies and no possibilities to form specials. Matching a color bomb with wraps helps and taking out a color also helps getting more specials.
Good luck! - Gabi

Exactly!!!!

3 insanely hard levels in a row is taking the f**king piss! I've had enough now - CC can go f*ck itself!

Anonymous said...

Have been stuck for a month on this level. Just had a cascade with five wrapped on the board destroyed at once-count went down by only one wrapped! This has happened to me multiple times on this level. Fix it! I'm out.

Anonymous said...

Got this after about 10 tries. Basically all luck involved here. Just go slow and don't miss any critical moves, like sprinkles or wraps. Don't worry about stripes, they will make themselves while cascading. Good luck everyone.

Cat said...

Even with always resetting until there was either a wrap or choc ball set to go, took two days and many tries, finally got it on the last move.
Many boards had mystery candies of almost all chocolates, bombs or blockers, so a lucky board is essential.
Suggestions, some learned the hard way.
As stripes frequently happen on their own, concentrate on wraps and choc balls.
Don't set off the check candies at the beginning or they'll be wasted by turning into stripes.
Don't set off choc balls until you've made any available wraps (or stripes, depending on if you need them), but do set them off immediately otherwise, as wraps will form in the cascade.
Match choc balls with stripes only if there are no wraps on the board or else the wraps will turn into stripes.
Avoid setting off mystery candies in the beginning when there's the licorice, as they might be bombs with
no way yet to clear them.
Hope this helps.
Good luck.

Strategy: Wait for lucky board. Hope that helps!

Charlotte said...

Fun level! Maybe it's harder on the PC or something? Just plan your moves and I actually had more luck concentrating on sprinkles and making wraps when I spotted the opportunity.

Jennifer said...

Finally beat this - was only stuck for a few days. I played both on the computer and on my phone, and won on the phone. My only tip is that I tried to clear the licorice and special candies right away and then tried to make the chocolate color bombs any chance I could as I found them harder to make than the wraps. Try not to waste moves making stripes, as they will naturally take care of themselves. I also tried not to waste moves detonating a wrapped or striped. I used the chocolate color bombs as much as possible to take care of that to conserve moves.

Found it much easier on th PC wrapped candies formed on their own, still difficult.

Anonymous said...

Finally.

Anonymous said...

Don't even bother with this on Android. Do it on PC. It' s a lot easier.

3 stars and 320,000 points. I hate this game but can't f***ing put it away :(

Anonymous said...

First game or two of the day and I try to go slow and be strategic about this board. After a couple of goes, I get totally Rambo on it and just go for low-board combos and watch the cascades take it away. Still haven't cleared it, but it is a much more fun approach.

Anon lafy said...

Finally did it, but had to use more gold bars to buy 5 more moves because the last wrap was just sitting there waiting to be detonated! Strategy? Not really, I think it was luck and thinking about every move!

Wow tips along with lucky board & cascades passed on 2'nd try 6 moves left. The choco balls kept coming & after taking colors off board with them wraps kept coming & with 1 wrap to go a choco ball lined up next to stripe & took out 8 remaining stripes along with wrap..Level certainly fun but needs good luck with board.doable with patience & concentration..I was very lucky but knew eventually it would happen.Keep the faith

kfmconsulting said...

Took less than a dozen lives and it was a fun level. Wraps are the hardest to form, so concentrate on those, followed by color bombs, then stripes. 3 stars, no boosters. Combination of luck and skill. Did it on iPad.

Anonymous said...

Use a check mark booster - passed after the first try when I did

Anonymous said...

Appears to be another instance of King making the level easier based on player comments. You now need only 20 striped, 15 Wrapped, and 10 color bombs. Very easy, now. I completed the level on my first try with 12 moves left.

Unknown said...

ignore the stripes, they generate themselves .Concentrate on making wraps. Quite a fun game. Beat it after about 15 tries.

Having a good time with Caramel Calaboose! Despite the early warnings I read for the difficulties of 817 and 819, I breezed past both of in the same day of play with three stars, no boosters for each. Currently I am at Level 822. BTW, when I get a three star win, I "buy a round for the house" by clicking on the pink icon next to the names of other players at that level and giving everyone a free life. If I'm feeling really good, I scroll down to Level 500 and open up a previously won level to give each player listed there a free life. Sometimes the recipients are Facebook friends that play the game, but more often it's players from the preselected avatar group that King put me in. I'm starting to get some free lives in return. What a great cheap thrill!!

I never find the boards that others say are easy, easy. It takes me forever, so now it's my turn to gloat, and don't feel bad about it! Got through on 1st try, no boosters, with 17 moves left!! I have no idea how that happened, except that I was way overdue...and of course I've developed into such a great player. Seriously, we all should know this game plays us, not the other way around. Maybe 10% strategy, the rest a lucky board. Think of all the times when you were going to make a move, but the tornado beat you to it. It really is rigged just enough to let us think our moves affect the time the outcome. We teach the board how we play, and it plays us. Now my question is, knowing all this...why do I continue playing this game? Lol..no life, I suppose.
