Candy Crush Saga level 824

Tips for level 824 Candy Crush Saga
You need to collect 25 striped candies and 5 stripe / stripe combos.
Don't worry about the 25 stripes, concentrate on the combos right from the start. As you are breaking the cakes and collecting the keys to clear the board keep the combos in mind all the time.
Think about it... If you get the 5 combos that's 10 of your stripes collected. Then you have the 2 coconut wheels which will be unlocked as you play, that's another 6 stripes at least, more if you switch them with a stripe.
So you can see the stripes will not be a problem so just work on the combos and you should pass this level within a couple of tries.
You will need to clear the cakes to open up the board, but any stripes taken by the cake hammer will still be counted.

Hate this kind of level. Always have trouble. Oh well, can't be as bad as 821. Can it? Stopping for now. Will try it tomorrow

Took about 20 tries-no boosters-2 stars. Watch closely for your double stripes. Single ones pretty much take care of themselves.

Work on getting double stripes. The rest will take care of itself. Fun level.

Nice to have such an easy level after several harder ones. Finished on the 1st try with three stars. Maybe I had a lucky board. Managed several sprinkled candies throughout. Lots of fun!

My top tip....
Break one cake only to open up the board to make the combo stripes. This reduces the self destruction effect.
I tried smashing the board fully open but all my stripes were being destroyed before I got the chance to combine them. First try with the above method was a 2 star no booster win.

Beat this level on 2nd try both cakes were broken. Not bragging. It was pure luck. I spent forever on 823. It was really hard for me. I am just so happy to have gotten.

JanC here. Took maybe 10 lives but it was a fun level to play. First time I got down to one combo needed, so that was encouraging. Tip about only breaking one tart is I bet a good one -- I just wasn't able to do it! Making sprinkles is easy on this level butni don't recommend it. Just one more thing that blows up, ruining everything you have lined up. That is the main frustration: twitchy board that blows up before you can match your stripes. As everyone has said, from move one look for ways to put two stripes together. If you don't see a move that does that, use the move to get rid of colors that will blow up what stripes you've made. (Two stars, no boosters.)

This level is harder than 820. After 100 tries I haven't even come close to getting the striped combo orders! Insanely Hard ! The cascades ruin my plans just like on 421.

That conveyer belt ruins the combos more often than not also.

Two in a row first go. The King must be feeling sorry for me.

When I saw the cakes I started working on them before I even looked what I had to do. Only after I destroyed the cakes I noticed that the level is about collecting stripes. Stupid me. Still I somehow got very lucky and beat the level with my first try. With my three last moves I managed to create two stripes beside each other and combined them with my last move.
Obviously concentrate on making stripes, but also try to destroy the cakes to open up the field. Don't worry about keys on the board, there are more to come.
Good luck! - Gabi

Nasty little level - just as you set up your combinations the travelator moves and destroys everything!

Concentrate on the striped striped candy the rest will follow. Second attempt.

frustrating but fun level..easy to create needed stripes but difficult getting them together w/o exploding..conveyor helps but also can hinder.same with cakebombs & coconut..took about 10 tries & used hand switch on final move to make last stipe/stripe..its doable with patience

Took about 20 attempts. It's hard to control the cascade effect, which results in multiple explosions. Just when you think you have a combo set up, everything explodes. Certainly takes a lot of luck and some skill. 3 stars, no boosters on PC.

Got it. 2 tries!!

JSN: Everything posted is true, though I don't know about trying to just set off one cake (looks like a pizza to me) as I had no control over it. With the exception of the stripe combos, everything else happens without any effort. One nice thing about playing this level (took me about 20 tries) is that I collected lots of the sugar candies toward boosters. I'm surprised no one is mentioning this in any postings, though it might not have started since April.

Yes nice easy level I thought. The wheels are pointless though not sure why they're on here!

As usual, immediately after reading the excellent tips in the comments on here, I went back to the game and finally got through it (2 stars no boosters). Whew! What saved me was disregarding everything but setting up the striped/striped matches side by side because when one is set up to drop down into the row on top of another, they will usually not be able to be combined in the next move because they will just detonate.

If you have one of those checkmark candies from the booster wheel, use it in this level. Worked for me the first time I used it, after about five previous unsuccessful tries.

Would love a check mark to use ;) Back to trying...
