Candy Crush Saga level 854 Tips and video

Hints and tips showing how to pass level 854 Candy crush Saga
All the jelly is in the bottom half of the board, hidden under popcorns, UFO's and licorice strings. There are not many moves so you have to make every one count by looking carefully at the board before every move.
First you need vertical stripes or a stripe/colour bomb combo to open up the UFO's and grow the popcorns.
Once you have unlocked the UFO's use them straight away and they should place at least some of the wraps in the jelly and help to grow the popcorns and clear the jelly.
Once you have used the UFO's you will be able to see what is needed to complete the level. The candies drop through from the top of the board to the bottom if you make moves in the bottom.

With a little bit of luck and very careful playing you should be able to beat level 854.

Pretty straight forward but tricky to finish with the number of moves given. A lot of it comes down to luck if the UFOs give you bombs in the bottom half of the board. Took about 5 tries, no boosters, 2 stars.

One of my least favorite boards. The flying saucers take all of the skill out of the game - if it gives you wrapped candies in the upper part of the board, forget it, start over. Hard enough trying to get 4 popcorns.

I got a good board and got this one on second attempt. Get those popcorn and make as many combos as you can. JS

A pretty impossible level, four popcorn in only 35 moves. Only an EXTREMELY lucky board will do the trick, which I was lucky enough to have after three days of playing. Good luck everyone.

Played about 40 lives, no cigar:(
Come so close but just can't win.
Please send me a lucky board.
I don't know why it was so easy for you guys.
I haven't used any of my saved boosters (free ones) yet on this level. Should I? If so which one? (I play on my iPhone)

Must have been luck. Got it first try. Choco/stripe at the top got rid of slot of jelly and set off the UFO's that made wraps to explode popcorn. Used those to finish off remaining jelly. That's all she wrote folks. Good luck!!

Welp, off for my 1st try, see what happens

Lol!!! 1st try. Guess like Ladi I had luck. Got 2 color bombs up top within 7 moves and got them next to each other to open eveeything up. Then got help from the ufos to open the popcorn. 13 moves left....

JanC here. Tricky indeed. Squeaked by with one star, no boosters, after not too many attempts, thanks only to a lucky board letting me through. Hope you get yours soon!

Tricky board. Finally got it after 10 tries. Had a chocolate/stripe twice and that helped immensely! Also lucky the colours matched at the bottom! Two stars, but I don't care. It's done!

Reset is my friend. Used it until a possible choc bomb, and waited until that could be positioned next to a stripe. Finished with many moves to spare.

Ugh. I don't like this one. Horizontal stripes are easier to make than the necessary verticals. The verticals I can make are always in places that do me no good. UFOs always hit in stupid useless places. Every time I manage to make a sprinkle/stripe combo they never hit any of the locked up pieces at the bottom. Twice I got it down to needing one more jelly and ran out of moves

c/candycrush here.
I would rate it as reasonably hard (took me a couple of days & lots of tries) but not diabolical.

The key is getting a vertical stripe asap to free up the UFO but as others said, it depends where it blasts the wraps. Even if it does a couple down the bottom, no guarantee you will get lucky. Or I didn't.
The pivotal moment for me came near the end when I got a stripe/colour ball together to finish it off.
No boosters used, but only a 2 star effort but I am happy.

PS Has anyone else managed to get the jackpot in the daily spin yet? I've 4 FB accounts & have had hundreds of spins but no, never.

Not digging this game at all. Come on, throw me a bone, King.

Jackpot once in hundreds of spins. Need lucky chocolate bomb and striped candy then more luck with ufo. Took many attempts.

Thank you for the tip about resetting to get a sprinkle, Cat. That worked for me. I ended up with one candy so I used 9 of my gold bars to 'buy' 5 more lives. I only needed one.

It was my third try and this time the UFOs helped - they didn't on tries one and two. Two stars.

4th attempt on iPad and obviously a lucky board. Was able to make lots of stripes and UFO's were helpful with the wraps. 2 stars, no boosters.

Hated this board especially that damn popcorn..Tough enough breaking out locked UFO & then wishing for good bottom damage.Took me about 10 + tries & luck prevailed...no boosters.Glad its over.No tip here except be patient & say a prayer for some luck :)))))

I have won the jackpot with the daily spin one time, about four months ago. I'm sure it will never happen for me again...

Anonymous said...

Laney. Play until you get lucky board. No boosters. Got it with 9 moves left.

Tips don't work with this level. The board is too limited, you can't plan ahead very well, and the jelly is too buried. Having stuck with CC to this level, I'm sure a lucky board will come along, they usually do. The 800's are definitely where the developers stored the rejected dregs!!!

Anonymous said...

Yes this is another level that needs a 'lucky board'. Each time I manage to unlock a UFO it fires off into the top region. It is so frustrating! But as an earlier commentator said, having got this far, you know you just have to be patient and wait. And yeas, after playing for nine months I DID hit the jackpot on the daily spin last week!!!!!!!

Unknown said...

A choc donut and a stripe combo is the best way to grow the popcorn.
Some well placed hits by the flying saucer can also help grow the popcorn.
Without those factors, it can be a hard level to beat. Good luck!

Unknown said...

Impossible. Rarely do you even get the chance to make special let alone combos, and most of the time they are conveniently in a row that doesn't need them. Way too random. Boosters and extra moves yet again.

I've had the Jackpot once but....then the board froze! I could not believe it! I'm still pissed off about it.

JSN: One of those levels that require a lot of luck. I spend so much time only able to make moves that don't help at all. I'd start with a coconut wheel booster if I had that option.

Anonymous said...

JSN: I started off the day with concurrent daily spins for boosters on my PC and my iPhone. I got lollypop hammers on both of them, so the omens were good. First time I played the level today, I got a candy ball - candy ball combo. This left me close enough where I was able to use my red hand and one of my two lollypop hammers to explode the last popcorn. I only got one star, but I'll take it - nasty level.

Horrible level .Agree if the ufo gives you wrapped on upper level you may as well quit and re start ! Why do people mention stars and points, just to beat it is enough!!!!

Anonymous said...

What a stupid level this is. How anyone is supposed to pass it I don't know. The biggest waste of time is the flying saucer thingies! It only hits in the top part of the board. What is the point in that !!!

Anonymous said...

This is indeed a frustrating level I have tried to win by skill - I guess I'll
need to just wait for that lucky board - sigh

Dirk said...

I haven't passed yet, but it appears there are more opportunities on PC rather than mobile.

On mobile, the UFO's only hit twice at the top of the upper board, and the lower right corner of the bottom right board. Don't waste time with both UFO's or you will run out of moves. They're useful for exploding the jellies in the lower right corner of the bottom right board, but since they fire into the same locations, it's not worth the extra moves to try to unlock both of them.

The UFO's hit different locations, but it's always on the top board. As with all other levels above about level thirty-five, I'll have to wait for the famous lucky board to pass.

Dirk said...

I just passed the level after about five days of daily play. I passed it on PC with a good color bomb/striped combo that cleared most of the jellies. The resulting cascade cleared more jellies and activated the UFO's. The UFO's took out more jellies. A vertical striped combo blew the one remaining popcorn in the lower right board. Another vertical striped combo took out all but one jelly. Moving the color bomb to the jelly didn't clear it, but a candy match did.

I have tried this level nod about 30-40 times. The ufos hit the exact same 3 spots every time. No help at all. Anybody else have no random hits with ufos on this level?

Anonymous said...

Got two choc bombs together in first couple of moves, once activated that started a chain reaction with ufo's, finished with 29 moves to go, lucky board!!

Anonymous said...

After reading most of the comments this was a level I thought I would be spending some time on. However, my UFOs managed to give me color bombs which broke up most of the jellies. Then I made a few matches and it was done with no boosters and two stars. Often I think you just have to see if you can get a lucky board. At times I'm stuck for several days and then boom! the right board comes along. On the previous level the UFOs cleared two of the ingredients but I waited until the other two dropped lower on the board. Thankfully I had some switch hands built back up and I used them to clear the board. I never pay and wait for my "freebies". I try not to use them but will if it calls for a time to be able to move to the next level.

My board for level 854 only allows me 12 moves. And it is impossbile to get get with just 12 moves

Gold3 said...

9/4/18. Only 12 moves. One of my friends asked me to check the level to see how many moves my sytem was showing because she had checked the YouTube site for the level. Changed from 35 moves to 12 moves. Quite a difference and changes the level of difficulty.

Gold3 said...

I am sorry...my comment should have stated 32 moves to 12 instead of 35 moves to 12.

Nita said...

It's easy to finish this level if you have 32 moves. But I only get 12 moves

Anonymous said...

Is there any way to get it to 32 moves vs the 12 I have been served for 3 days and about 25 plays?

Anonymous said...

Here we go again 12 moves not 32 like others! CC please get your act together!!

Anonymous said...

Why am I only getting 12 moves on these levels? Impossible! Fix it,
please, Candy Crush!

Anonymous said...

Just like the folks above I watched the video where there's 35 moves. It doesn't matter if the video shows 35 or 32 moves when the player actually has 12 moves it's sometimes impossible to get anywhere with clearing the board before they run out of moves and then the message comes on the screen "don't quit now you almost have it so to speak" which is bogus. Cutting the moves by 22 or 23 moves is silly.

Jeanette said...

Come on, CC! Did you really have to bring it down from 35 moves to 12!? What’s the purpose!?

Unknown said...

I only was given 12 moves! Why?

Anonymous said...

Another idiotic mistake by CC. Only 12 moves instead of 32.
I am getting completely fedup with CC. So Many mistakes it does not make it worthwhile to play.

KG said...

I also only have 12 moves and not 35!

Unknown said...

Yes I too have only 12 moves on 854...impossible! I should have 32..can this be fixed?

Unknown said...

I must be a reasonably decent player if I've managed to get to level 854 using only the free bonuses that the game gives you. But I have to say that I can't see any way that a person could beat this level with only 12 moves, lucky board or not. I tried many many times to do it without bonuses and couldn't even get a start, ever. Used a sprinkle ball bonus and stripe/wrap bonus and kept resetting the board until I got the bonus candies in good positions and finally beat it. We all describe levels as impossible sometimes when we're really frustrated, but I think this one may actually be impossible if you don't have bonuses.
