Candy Crush Saga level 948 Tips and video

Tips and help for level 948 Candy crush Saga
Level 948 Candy Crush Saga is classified as a hard level so you may lose some lives before you manage to pass it.
There are 40 moves to clear the jelly and your way is blocked by cream, locked candies, chocolate and a popcorn in the middle!
As soon as you begin to unlock the locked candies the chocolate will begin to spread, but there are no chocolate spawners so once the chocolate is gone it stays gone.
Work at the bottom as much as you can to begin with and look all the time for colour bombs and stripe/wrap combos. If you keep making combos the chocolate will be taken care of. You don't have enough moves to be chasing chocolate so try to ignore it and just make the most powerful combos you can.
You need to hit the popcorn with the combos too, which will give you a useful colour bomb.

This one is not easy. It is one thing to say make combos, but quite another to actually do so when I see nothing but matches of three! I guess it is back to waiting for that 'lucky' board...........

I agree!

I even got two sprinkle balls next to each other TWICE and still couldn't clear all the jelly!..............

Lucked out. Second try, three stars...and then the game crashed. Arggghhhh....

Anonymous said...

I agree, a very tough level. Especially after the past few that were quite easy. Good luck to everyone!

Well I got this out after I reckon 50 attempts. Two stripes on choc bombs cleared a lot. 4 moves left and 4 scattered jellies. Slowly I got them and was prepared to smash em with hammers but no need. Just plug away and it will happen. Good luck

Tough board, not enough room to make combo in the beginning and the chocolate takes over the board very fast. Haven't even came close to clearing the jellies.
Come on lucky board!!!!

What is it with the message saying to beat Level 16 to find out what is new with the sound wheel. There is no warning that when you spin the wheel you are making a purchase. I lost 5 gold bars that I won with Candy Drops! Dont fall for it.

Anonymous said...

What the hey?! I had 2 jellies left and went to use some if my gold bar stash from sugar drops and my 18 were gone ! Only had 4 and King wanted me to PAY for extra moves!😬😬😬
Anyone losing their earned boosters??

Had 9 gold bars disappear about a week ago. I'm sure I didn't buy anything.

Has anyone beaten this miserable level?? The two anonymous above- how did you finally get through?
And where are our reliable tipsters Jan. cat , AJ, and JS? Need some good advice here
Thanks to all

I haven't passed it yet and am getting very irritated with this new spin wheel. It keeps popping up and then taking me all the back to the first level. Am using iPad so I have to swipe and swipe and swipe to get back up to this level. Guess I'll go back to trying it on my laptop. Have come close only once. I can see that big combos are the key, but I'm not coming up with them. Fish have not helped even though I have ended up with 3 to 4 of them appearing. JS

Okay, I finally beat this level and this is how I did it. Along with other changes King has made for iPad recently, you can once again pick your boosters and keep resetting until you get a board you like WITHOUT losing lives. I picked a chocolate and stripe/wrap and reset until I got the chocolate ball next to a stripe. Came close the first time I tried it and won it the second time with several moves left. JS

Anonymous said...

When your set to level one, hit the reset arrow bottom left corner. Then hit the go back red button. Voila. Has worked on my I pad. Good luck!
Cathy

Anonymous said...

Thank you, Cathy!! It worked like a charm. Meant to say on previous post that when resetting you don't lose a life or the boosters you have picked. This strategy of resetting with boosters has helped me win several tough levels and this was one of them. JS

Anonymous said...

Thank you JS. I too got close with the fish but couldn't win! I've been resting but will try with your booster strategy! Resting. Has helped me on several tough levels
Thanks,
CC

And thank you Cathy for the iPad tip. I was ooo tired of getting sent back to level 1,

Anonymous said...

Well, tried strategy of sprinkle and wrap/ stripe 3 times and on 3rd even matched center sprinkle with another stripe and still no win!!
Guess I'll pass when King wants me to! Boring.....LOL

Thank you so much poster about the reset tip. I knew about it but it didn't cross my mind. I still had to buy a move and hammers because I only had 1 hammer on my device. I am just so happy to be done.

Oh yes, this also happened to me: I moved a stripe (while in the game) next to a choco ball and it exploded. I wasted a hand but I learned it doesn't want me to do that. If you're thinking of doing this-think twice. Good luck to everybody still on this dreadful level.

Anonymous said...

Thank you all for your helpful tips! I had so many fish that I went back to them and got a board where I could make a sprinkle 1st move and then everything fell into place- lucky board finally ! 2 start and so glad to be done!!

Thanks for the tip on quickly getting back after being sent to level one. I'm not sure I understand about resetting and not losing boosters though. I haven't tried that one. Guess I'll get my nerve up and try it. And yes I got sucked into that level 16 wheel. It used up all the bars I'd earned. I was SOOOOOOO mad.

I definitely disagree that you do not have to worry about the chocolate because you absolutely have to worry it takes over very quickly. Don't think I will ever pass this level boring and not fun maybe calling it quits

Deborah said...

I must have played this 30 times. Read the tip to not worry about the chocolate. On the very next try, I worked from the bottom and ignored the chocolate. End with 2 stars, no boosters used.

Michelle said...

Ok so after reading all your tips I am going to try to work the bottom and ignore the chocolate. ..
wish me luck..
Tough level...

Anonymous said...

Agree , I made same mistake, complete rip off, at least I didn't pay for the gold bars I lost.
Cheers AJ

Anonymous said...

I am struggling - I will use JS's tip and see how I go. You really need to open things up early on this board given we only have 30 moves. I am thinking 3 bomb stripe combos will be needed to pass this. AJ

Anonymous said...

Thanks JS, first go using your tip however I also used a fish booster as well but I am not sure that did any good, opening the board with a bomb stripe combo on the first move was very useful. AJ

ew! this is a toughie

Anonymous said...

Very difficult. Waiting for the lucky board.

Anonymous said...

Well holy crap if you kick around on this level long enough, somebody takes pity on you, evidently... I've been stuck here forever and I just had the most impossible fireworks display happen. I can't honestly say it was due to anything I did, but it was a pretty spectacular chain reaction that left a few simple blocks to clear. Pretty astonishing after the boredom of trying to crush through it. Hang in there!

This is a tough one!!

Cat said...

I agree with Van and the numerous others stating this is a tough one.

I have been able to get through the popcorn and even rid the board of the chocolate. But it is just never close to enough moves to finish off the jelly.

Cat said...

Well right after posting I must have gotten a lucky board. Created a choc sprinkle and a stripe early on and cleared all the chocolate in 1 move!!

Over and done with this nasty a** level!

Van5 said...

Been on this 2 days and finally got the lucky board. Chocolate ball/stripe combo three times finished it off with 3 moves to spare. Two stars only. Good advice to work from the bottom. Every time I started at the top the chocolate blocked me, so whenever I could I played at the bottom and it finally payed off. Glad to be moving on!

Anonymous said...

I've came close about 10 times. Only 1 jelly left. I've used 2 speckled combos and a speckle/stripe on the same game and still haven't gotten all the jellies. Getting bored and frustrated. Please help as I believe there are glitches again. Thank you.

Still battling 948 and now I've noticed something happened to 11 of my gold bars. I did not use them. I had 19 and now have only 8.

Anonymous said...

Thanks to all of you who post. I find them very helpful. Have not played this level yet, but wanted to comment on the gold bars disappearing and falling for that special wheel. I felt so stupid when I lost gold bars to the wheel (I wrote King, like they care). Nice to know I am not the only one. As for disappearing gold bars---me too and an enormous amount gone (like 50 ). I bought that special package for $20. I guess King wants them back faster than some of us are using them! Bookworm

Leighann Australia here....AJ your my candy crush hero!!!After many days stuck at this level, your tip about using the bonus freckle and wrap stripe,(of which I only had 1 chance to use) and reset until the freckle and stripe are next to each other WORKED.I had 18 moves left,so it happened very quickly. So please to be moving on at last...cheers😉

If you hit the arrow thing on bottom left and then hit red arrow, it will bring you back to your level

Anonymous said...

what are sugar drops and how do I get them?

Anonymous said...

can anyone answer the sugar drops question?

BW said...

You collect them for free boosters for the game. You can even go back to levels you have already done, as long as they have the buckle on them, and do them again. On some levels you can get 20 or so. I play some levels over, just looking for the special candies and collect as many as I can. Free boosters are always good!

Anonymous said...

Bwe thanks, but how do you collect them for free boosters, I don't see them anywhere there is no button to push I am so confused by this, I have gone back to older games I don't see sugar drops or arrows pointing to them. No buckles either, can you tell me a specific level that has sugar drops?

Dropped a fish booster on my second try and beat it. Fun level.

Bill. said...

Found this difficult need a lot of luck to get boosters to remove the chocolate and then more luck to remove the jelly.

Anonymous said...

Yep. There was an update and ALL of my boosters disappeared!

Anonymous said...

Hmmm......when will I get through this one? C'Mon lucky board.

Charlotte said...

Maybe they made this level easier or something. I didn't get it first try but I always seemed to come quite close. Once the chocolate is taken care of and everything is unlocked then special candies seem to be everywhere.

Does anyone elsr had trouble in the last week logging on to Candy Crush on their PC? Mist of the time it just sits there and the little wheel turns. I have never had this problem before and it nevet happens on my Samsung phone
Please help someone.

Anonymous said...

I've gotten close a couple of times! At least I enjoy playing this one so I don't really mind being stuck here for awhile (she says on day 1). Back at it....

Anonymous said...

I only needed one more jelly!!!! Waaaa! Still enjoying playing this one and not ready to resort to boosters yet.

Anon said...

Thank you for the tip about using a chocolate ball and a stripe/wrap and resetting until the chocolate ball was next to the stripe. Tried that and beat it on my second try!! Good luck. -as

OMG THS LEVAL IS GOD DAMN SOOOOOOOOOO ANNOYINGLY IRRITATING have tried multiple combos yet nothing omg need a lucky board please king cheers Katrina

Anonymous said...

this level is not correct. This image matches the level on my iPad and iPhone, but not on the PC...the PC level 948 only has 4 chocolates around the popcorn...the corners are blocks (3 levels deep no less) and it is worse

Anonymous said...

First time posting here...

This level is different on the iPad. Chocolate in the middle as well as on the edges. That being said, the iPad version was much easier. Perhaps I got the lucky board, but passed in a few tries. Took the strategy of playing from the bottom. Once the center was cleared, things just started to happen; matches, specials, etc.

Anonymous said...

They must have made this easier. First try, no boosters, 3 stars. My only strategy was not to unlock the locked squares and let the chocolate be released till I had at least made a stripe to have ready to unleash.

Same here a couple of months ago. This happens occasionally with updates so I'm inclined to think it's intentional.

This level has apparently been changed since the video was posted. The chocolates in the corners have been replaced by blockers making the level much worse to pass. It's the same on Android as it is PC. I've been on this level for several days and haven't come close.

Thanks again for the hints. Must have had a lucky board as I passed on the first try - didn't have a boosters, etc. and only 1 move left when it was over.
