Candy Crush Saga level 973

Hints and tips for level 973 Candy Crush Saga
No real tips for this, if you are good at timed levels you will have no trouble with 973, but if, like me, you struggle with timed levels then I wish you luck!
It isn't a specially hard level compared to some timed levels, but getting three stars needs a fast hand and eye.
Look for colour bomb patterns right from the start as this is what will win the level for you.
Use the colour bomb to unlock the plus 5 candies and these will turn into wraps at the end and give you more points.
Work at the bottom as much as possible to cause cascades, which will give you more plus 5 candies to keep the game moving.
The video shows just a one star score by a very slow player, so if I can do it almost anyone can.

I hate hate hate timed levels..Did I say I hate them? Yes I do LOL...Since I had many color bombs & stripe/wrap free boosters from sugar drop rewards I took no chances after failing first 5 tries & set the 6th try up with them & right away I just blew the bomb & got some quick +5 candies & got my stripe across board to score another + 5 & as luck sometimes happens it did...another color bomb appeared & with couple seconds left blew it & looked & saw score over 25K....Yeah its over...Did I tell you I hate timed levels? LOL Its not too bad for those who are good with them...I had the boosters & used them & feel just abit guilt :))))

I hate them too and almost bought time when one time I got to 23,000 points but I didn't. I used all my boosters and found no help. Except the color bomb works great. Finally, the lucky board came and I got two or three color bombs magic. I finished the level with high points, two stars and I am grateful that CC didn't get my money this time:)

I HATE timed levels too, and I am usually rubbish at them. Cannot understand how I passed at the second attempt. The board just seemed to open up and cascades appeared everywhere. I really cannot take any credit for it but I'll move on happily................

This is laughable. I'm lucky to get 3,000 points. The chocolate moves too fast. I hate timed levels.

I, too, can't stand timed levels. They are the scourge of Candy Crush. Surprisingly, it only took 4 or 5 attempts following the tips of being sure to play toward the bottom to take advantage of the plus 5 candies that honestly do turn into wrapped candies that continue to pop after time limit is up. Didn't use any boosters as I was ONLY interested in passing. Got 1 star and that's plenty for me on this level. Good luck to all fellow loathers of timed levels. You CAN do this one without driving you crazy!

No real skill needed, just wait for lucky board. Most boards will only have one or two useless moves, sometimes you even get reshuffled. Work the bottom? Not if there are no moves on the bottom, which is most of the time. To have this sort of design on a timed level is really quite atrocious, even by the bottom-of-the-barrel programming standards this company obviously uses. Hiring a tester would go a long way, but that would probably cut into some executive bonuses, so that is not going to happen. Oh well, going to try a few more times, waiting for that lucky board to let me pass.

very difficult to play on pc with mouse. I can play timed levels much faster on my phone with touch screen. will have to wait for levels to update on phone. (jeopardy theme plays in background)

Jane said...

I agree. It is too hard on PC. Anyone have any idea when this will hit our iPads?

Jane said...

Well, it is now on my iPad and I still can't come close!

I am getting no where with this level! I have almost no moves on my boards, reshuffling takes up precious seconds, and I'm lucky to even get one or two +5 candies. Each game ends just as quickly as it started with me not even making a dent in the score.

Got it. No boosters. Had a sprinkle and a couple of stripes. 1 star but I will take it. Happy to be moving on!

I read these comments before I ever even tried and was discouraged going in. I hate timed levels and usually do very poorly. I am not sure if it was my 3rd or 4th move, but I made a color bomb and I can't tell you what happened from there. The board 'exploded' and without ever making another move the game was complete and I ended up with 3 stars. I can take no credit, not even sure what happened. Proof that 'lucky' boards do happen, and for once I was the recipient! I am grateful, because the last timed game nearly made me quit. Good luck all - Tracy

I just passed by making about 4 moves, I was going nowhere and couldn't even see standard matches so I put the phone down to do something else and when I looked at it again I was advanced to next level, I went back to check my score and it was 44,000. The cascades that happened when the plus 5 candies turn to wraps at the end must have produced a few colour bombs and I didn't even know. AJ

Timed levels are the pits. Hate them

Hate timed levels also! Was puttering getting sets of 3 only when a colour bomb appeared. Didn't even get a chance to use it when the time ran out and the game took over and smashed it! Gave me 26,000. Don't know how but I'm through! Happy as I find these timed levels the hardest of all to do.

Anonymous said...

This has got to be the most stupid of timed levels I have seen, 30 seconds to get 25,000 JOKE!!!!. I notice that while the candies drop you are unable to move anything but the timer still counts down. Why are so many games relying on getting a board that lets you win. There used to be skill in the games but now all you seem do is go through the motions waiting for that so called lucky board. I have to say I don't mind the timed levels. it the dam stupid bomb levels that need extermination.

Anonymous said...

Hate these timed levels also! And a tip- as I've stated in prior post you can't rest board with a timed level so it will take your booster if you try to reset. Guess we all have to just wait for lucky board but haven't seen one yet!!
Ugg!

So I took a chance and used a sprinkle since I had barely been able to make any matches in 4 tries! I just hit the candy next to it right off and that opened up board enough for me to get some traction. One star but soon glad!LOL I hated timed levels

I just started this level. And I haven't won so I do't know of this works. But Im doing the opposite of what it says. Im avoiding the bottom. I'm making as many matches at top. Looking for combos and clearing chocolate as much as possible. Ill usually get an extra 10000 points after end of game when it clears the licorice and explodes the wraps. So Im easily getting 15000 to 20000 per game. I hope to get a lucky board and get my 25000.

Anonymous said...

And that did work for me.

Norah said...

Still cant quite get past this level.

Even with the tips, been at it for days.

FrankC said...

Norah I had trouble with this one also, so your not alone!

Good luck to you

onlylisa said...

Work the top of the board and clear the chocolate. If the chocolate builds up you won't have moves to make. The bombs at the bottom of the screen will blow up after time and give you a lot of extra points. Got it 2nd try using this theory

Thanks Frank! Nice to have company!

Won this with 1 star, I didn't really do anything. st happened on its own. Laurie

Help I hate timed levels need a lot of help cc.

Anonymous said...

I have played 10 times maybe more and usually get about 8000 before the game gives points. Terrible. I even use a choc.ball booster. Part of my problem is being over 70. Perhaps it's time to close ccs. Timed levels worry me as I can feel my blood pressure rise and who needs a stroke over a game!

Kathleen said...

Another timed level that I HATE! I try to be calm, use my free boosters and still only able to score a little over 24,000 once. Getting boring now.

Jonny B said...

not sure if this will help, try leaving a color bomb on the field...just happened to me, and I accumulated 30k points...after time ran out.

Bill. said...

Making a chocolate bomb is vital blow it up straight away then hit the timed candies.

Hunter MacLean said...

Just got 24760. Hate this level so bad.

Anonymous said...

The most annoying level ever

Anonymous said...

I hate timed levels so I used the Sprinkle Ball and Striped/Wrapped Booster from the Boosters I had. Second game the Sprinkle Ball and a Wrapped Candy came up together so I combined them and had the total points in the first move. I b e l i e v e that the Wrapped Candy and the Sprinkle Ball is the most points. Also, I have a touch screen lap top and actually using the touchscreen and not the stupid mouse helps to go faster. - Sugarcat

I just want to say something bad but I'll get kicked out so I'll just stick my tongue out and say boohoo, timed level, I hate you.

Anonymous said...

REALLY?! So far I've gotten to 13,000! Yay.

Anonymous said...

I just laugh at the end of every try.....

Anonymous said...

I guess it's quitting time! This level is rigged to get you to buy boosters. Not happening!

Anonymous said...

Play on, play on, they say! Buy the booster! It won't help. Waste of money!

Charlotte said...

Passed first try, one star. Maybe easier on mobile? I never cleared the row on the bottom, only about three or so. The game at least drops time boosters for you, and whilst it's important to remove the chocolate, the priority is always the added time. The one thing that makes timed missions easier in some ways to pass is that they require less strategising.

Anon lafy said...

I passed on my second try because of the sugar crush. I hate timed levels.

Anonymous said...

Really? 25,000 points in 30 seconds? And the board is blocked and has chocolate too? This is probably the end of the road for me. I've gotten this far without buying boosters, but I don't believe this level can be won without them.

Well I finally beat this level and wanted to come back and share what I was doing wrong so those of you struggling won't do the same thing. I did follow some of the others advice and just played the top of the board and not worry so much with the +5 candies at the bottom. I discovered that the cascade down effect scored me more points than just playing the bottom row. But, what I was doing wrong was hitting the "end game" (out of frustration) button instead of letting the cascade effect do it's thing as my moves had already hit 0. I had 20,000 pts and let the game play out with the cascade effect and it scored me over the 25,000 needed to finish the game. BINGO!!! I'm so glad to be over this level. I hope this helps the rest of you struggling. Don't hit the "end game" button and let the cascade effect do it's job! Good luck!

Anonymous said...

IMPOSSIBLE!

Anonymous said...

I got through the second time and only because the cascade after the timer stopped kept going. I had only a few thousand points and was ready to begin again. But the cascade brought me over 32.000! However, I got only 1 star. But who cares when you can get that quickly through one of the totally evil timed levels. Grace from DU :-)

JSN: For whatever reason, the PC won't give me credit for any unused +5 candies at the end of the game, so I'm playing on my iPhone which does. Am holding off on starting with a candy ball booster

Why do King put out timed levels. When so many people hate them, I don't understand it. Not all of us are fast, some are elderly and have arthritic problems. I'm sick of these timed levels.

Donny G said...

Just started but I LOVE timed levels!!! Am I the only one?

Donny G said...

As I said, I love timed levels but this one is ridiculous! No fun at all and seemingly impossible without super easy board.

Anonymous said...

King should understand the inability of so many elderly like me who play cc in their leisure time. Will they stop this timed level wher somebody get high Bp and heart trouble playing this. Come on King. Don't bring this again.

Anonymous said...

i hate candy rush, my eyes aren't what they used to be. not fair to older folks : (

Anonymous said...

Even a color bomb combined with a stripe came nowhere close to even a quarter of the points needed to pass the level. This is ridiculous.

Anonymous said...

this level sucks can't even come close. most has been 2500 points not even close.

Marilyn said...

Luckily I had a wrapped+ stripe combo from wheel and used it . I suck at timed levels and didn't need the frustration.

Anonymous said...

This is gonna be where I stop playing CC. Am too slow of eye and hand and am NEVER going to be able to do it

Anonymous said...

Uuugggghhhh

Dammit, I HATE timed levels- I play(ed) Candy Crush to relax, NOT to get my blood pressure (which I suffer from high blood pressure) raised SKY HIGH! This is the FINAL STRAW, goodbye Candy Crush- I am taking all my CC friends with me because this RIDICULOUS level pushed me over the edge!!!

Spike said...

Don't like the setup of this board, hard to make anything that will help. No boosters so will probably be on forever . . ahhhh.
