Candy Crush Saga Level 1038

Hints and tips Showing how to pass level 1038 Candy Crush Saga without boosters by Cookie
Level 1038 is an ingredient level, you have to collect just one cherry to complete the level. The cherry needs to drop down to the bottom of the left side of the board, then through the portals to the top right and finally down into the bottom right section and out of the exits.
You need to clear the blockers along the bottom left and also get the chocolate under control so that it doesn't take over too much. There is a frog hidden in the chocolate and you can grow it using any special candies you make. Don't waste too many moves trying to grow the frog. Once the frog is grown save it until the cherry is waiting to move into the bottom right section. Once the cherry is ready to go down the bottom section use the frog to clear the licorice and get the cherry to the exit. DON'T place the frog directly under the cherry, place it to one side or it will block the cherry from dropping.

These level needs another ten moves to make it possible to those of us who are not experts! Thanks for the tips.

The frog is very useful when full, then you can move it down to where the licorice is located and remove all of it.

What conveyor belt? There's no conveyor belt when I play this level.

Anonymous said...

No, there is no conveyor belt, that is a mistake.

This is very easy as long as you make the ingredients fall on the moves stated above. work on clearing the chocolate but watch for the ingredient moves. When an ingredient move comes only make a move that vertically moves the candy down above the portal. then continue feeding the frog and killing the chocolate. When all the ingredients are on the board, as soon as the frog is full move him down to the licorice and explode him in the middle. He can go right over the center licorice. all ingredients will fall through and you are done. If you let the ingredients fall and they are not over the portal, you will waste moves moving them over. If you make one little mistake, use your hand booster to move the ingredient back over the portal.

Great tip nana bling - it works perfecly

Anonymous said...

Thanks so much fr these tips -since finding them i have found the game a lot easier

Anonymous said...

what??? my first one is coming down on move 4 after 3 tries.....

Anonymous said...

the fruits come down on every fourth (count 1...2...3...fruit and repeat) move until they are all down.....so whittle away at the sides but make sure you are set up to get a move in the columns with the portals every 4th move until you have all four fruits....after that....fill the frog....place him in the center of the bottom portion with the licorice....and with a lucky board....all the fruits will go out on that move....otherwise....by then....you may not have enough moves to maneuver them out....but this did work for me. and i used no boosters.

The tips worked first time Yay

My fruit only fell in the portal columns twice, even though I made moves in those columns on moves 37, 33, 29 and 25. I tried twice and the same thing happened. Had to use the hand switch to move ingredients to the portal columns or it would have been game over. The tip about feeding and moving the frog to the middle of the licorice cage was a big help. :)

Easier said than done.......

Cat said...

Hand switches to move fruit, and a final switch for a choc ball/stripe, after checking it was the right color as in the bottom right, saved the day.

Haven't seen any posts from you in awhile, Cat! Nice to hear from you! I used a coconut wheel and kept resetting till it would clear some licorice right away. Then I followed advice to drop fruit into right columns. I think clearing the chocolate so you can put the frog down in the lower right is important though. Got lucky with a couple of sprinkles and fruit moved pretty easily especially with moving the frog into position

How did you know I was a nana. Not bad for a 75 yr old to get this far. Eh!

Bling59 said...

Sorry, didn't realize there was another bling.lol.

Of all the games I've played I've not had one fruit fall in the right lane. They all seem to fall in the middle and I spend most of the time trying to move them over. Gggrrrrr!!!!!

Cat said...

Thanks for the kind words, CC. I think you did better on this level than I did. Didn't post on several levels as I had neither the ghost of a tip nor anything new to add. Now waiting for the new batch of lunacy.

Good luck to all.

Cat , for those of us who've made it this far - we are a crazy bunch! But so nice to see your posts- and AJ and Js and Jan! Haven't seen them for awhile ! Your resetting the board tip really changed my game!😎
Looking forwar to the net series!

Thanks again, CC. Reset was, is, and I'm sure will forever be my best friend. I, too, miss the posters you mentioned and some others
(Norah, for one, comes to mind) and look forward to the next episode.

I have lost endless live trying to get at least some fruits to drop in the right column, then success. I decided to concentrate on clearing the chocolate and filling the frog first. It worked. All the fruits fell on the last column next to the chocolate section. By then I had cleared the chocolate and grown the frog. Placed the frog in the centre of the licorice, and voila. GAME OVER!!!!!!!!

Anonymous said...

Just follow the tips on this one. Make sure to drop the cherries into the correct columns. Then move the frog to the bottom right, and it should be all over. First try for me. Ended up using a hand switch for one of the cherries. 2 stars. Good luck!!

Hey Bling59 I'm so glad someone else is in their 70's playing. I thought I might be the only one amongst mostly young people. Haven't played this yet, but the tips seem good. Oldie but Goldie.

Hey Bling59glad to see someone else in their 70's is playing. I thought I might be one of the only ones at this point among mostly young players. Haven't played this yet but the comments are good and hopefully I won't be on this level long. Let's keep on crushing.

Me says ingredients drop on fourth move, and every fourth move thereafter.

I am also in my seventies and finished this episode on July 9. Am so sorry to hear that this blog doesn't go past level 1040. Wondering why??????? It has been so great getting advice from everyone. Hope it wasn't because of the annoying trolls!!!!

This level was almost a challenge. You just have to wait for the level where the fruit falls in the rows of the teleport. I worked on getting them there as I also worked on clearing the chocolate to feed the frog. I had to use a hand switch on one fruit. Once the frog grew, I used it to clear the licorice and boom all the fruit dropped out. Good luck!!!

Anonymous said...

Jay, your an expert if you made it this far. (Smile)

Bill. said...

Dropping the fruit on right moves is vital as is clearing the chocolate completely. Then move the frog to the centre of the liquorice. Three attempts.

By this time in the game I would have thought mindless games were gone - it would appear not! The only way to pass is to have numerous hand switches available - disappointed that this far King would still like people to spend, spend, spend - not happening. Good luck to all those who continue and weirdly enough those who think it is easy - fruits anywhere but in the portal, abort the game and go and get a coffee plus enjoy your summer forget wasting your time here.

I am 79 years old and addicted to Candy Crush, how sad is this !! However 1038 has beaten me so far, after countless tries, as I can't get the fruit to fall in the portals. Grrgh!

Anonymous said...

I got through this by matching a Colour bomb with the frog colour. I had already lined up the fruit and when I activated the frog it was complete. Hardest part was getting the fruit on the right columes. I was lucky that the one I had to move over wasn't that hard, cheers. AJ

I was sure I was going to lose and then a Coconut Wheel came down and saved the day. Things started shooting all over and then I got through. It is very late in the evening, though. - Sugar Cat

Thresa said...

Used a Coconut Wheel booster and wiped out almost all the chocolate the 1st time that I used it. Passed 1st try after reading the tips about using the Frog on the Licorice. Love this game, gonna be sad when all Levels are complete. Not quite as old as Nana Bling but I AM 65 years young!!! Thresa

Used a coconut wheel to get rid of the chocolate. It appeared twice near the beginning so it helped immensely, instead of me having to waste moves chasing chocolate. Tried to get the fruits in the proper column, but sometimes there just isn't a move there. Only had to move one fruit over. Used the frog to clear the licorice, and 2 chocolate balls together pushed all the fruit down. Took me many tries. Happy to be through this one.

Having difficulty with the fruit always ending up in the middle columns...grr

I am 60! LA. :)

Annonymous said...

Got all the fruits in the right column at the bottom but couldnt clear chocoate in time to actiate frog and so all the licorice was still there :(

Anonymous said...

Hi, I've been on this level for DAYS! After reading the hints (fruit comes down every 4th move, explode frog in middle right, etc.) I got 3stars on the very first try! Thanks for the tips!

Anonymous said...

There is a lot happening on this one! Just played the first time. Might be here for awhile, but it's fun at the moment. :)

Anonymous said...

I like this level but it's not happening.had fruits all lined up but can't get em out the bottom to the exits. :(

Norah said...

Hi all.

Tough one here!

Anonymous said...

Again this is un passable. King trying to take money from us for boosters.

THIS GAME IS GETTING BORING, THIS LEVEL JUST MAKES IT MORE BORING

Anonymous said...

This was very helpful, thank you!

Judy said...

Knowing what moves the fruit will appear was a big help. I got rid of the licorice by using a wrap/stripe combo. Didn't need a booster nor a frog.

And, BTW, I'm another old f**t who spends way too much time on this silly game. But what the hey?

Unknown said...

@annonymous Aug. 27th.. Apparently it is in fact passable otherwise there would be no one posting who have passed it? Just a thought.

Anonymous said...

There is a glitch in the level. I cleared all four ingredients, but it didn't check off one of the cherries. It then dropped another cherry on move 15. Because I could not anticipate when this "extra" would drop, it dropped in a column such that I couldn't move it over. Very disappointing as I had finally figured the level out.

Anonymous said...

The level is stupid. Even with the tips its that simple. I had a hazelnut ready to go through the teleport sinve tge dang beginning of the level and it never it through.

Anonymous said...

This is not 'very easy' at all! Not sure what level you're playing. I'm finding it impossible !!!

Anonymous said...

What are you talking about. Fruit drops after the 4th move not on 37 etc etc. Very misleading tips that you're giving out plus not everyone uses boosters to get through such as a hand swap !!

Anonymous said...

So basically you cheated to get through grrrrrr!!!! Yeah any0ne can pass with boosters !

Okay Nana Bling rocks! Tried this on my PC to no avail, went to iPhone to be able to have some choice in starting boards, followed Nana Bling's advice (I didn't worry about getting verticals if they weren't readily available. I got all 4 fruit to drop in the same column just making matches of 3 and keeping an eye on the countdown to make sure I was making a match on 37,33,29 and 25). In the meantime I was working on the chocolate. As soon as possible I started filling up the frog too. With 7 moves to go I had all four fruits in place - lined up one behind the other over a portal - and the frog blinking. I placed the frog in the middle of the licorice and bingo! Thanks for the great advice (and where have you been all my life Nana?)!

Anonymous said...

I cannot get the fruit to drop in the portal lines for the life of me. There are simply no moves to be made to do this on the boards I am getting. Very frustrating!! I used a coconut wheel but they seem to be put at the bottom of the board at the beginning so are not much help to clear choc. I also refuse to pay for any more hand swap moves. I am disliking this level very much and suppose it will come down to a lucky board once again.

Anonymous said...

Gosh how lucky is the video for this level.......all those colouered sprinkles just in the nick of time......pffft you cannot tell me it is not rigged that some get a great board & others don't?

Raylo said...

I'm hating this level so much. I can't even get ONE down, let alone all of them!

Connied@telus.net said...

Horrible. Multi tasking to a max. Count to 4 ( hope can make a move in left or right lane)
While clearig chocolate
While feeding the frog
Whilecounting ( whoops no move, drpsps from third)
Back to etc etc now if frog is fed try and get ingredients out with frog ( all 4 in same place)
ASK me again if I want to go thru agony?

Do desire to play. And Otis 237 finished off that game.

Connied@telus.net said...

The ingredients had to be moved with the hand when they fell in the 2nd column. Finally. Never thought it would happen

Anonymous said...

Totally lost on this one, mind numbing exercise in futility I think I finally am ready to call it quits.

GC said...

Played quite a few times. Had the usual problems with fruit falling to the side and having no way to switch them over. I finally got a good start with a sparkle and stripe that got rid of the chocolate and then I overfed the frog and exploded it amongst the liquorice. I kept play to the one side only which had all the fruit fall Down the he same column. I managed to get a stripe to hit the lower section enabling one of the fruit to go through the final porthole. I'm left with three fruit and ended up using my last 3 hammers and 1 hand switch to get the last fruit through.
It was worth it as it was a good board to start with.

Now I'm off to build up my jumping candy crush candies and get me some more boosters.😃

Try and keep to the one column if play will allow you. Hopefully all four of the fruit will stay in the same column. Fingers crossed the right moves will follow.

Good luck everyone

These level is just horrible! Time to delete candy crush!

Anonymous said...

This level sucks! Have been doing it for months! Ready to delete this game!

Time to delete candy crush!

ilash said...

Why do you lie and say the candy falls on moves 37, 33, 29 and 25 when the candy clearly falls on moves 4, 8, 12 and 16? In other words, as one poster said, the candy falls every fourtg move! Do not know what counting system you are using, but "every fourth move" makes sense. Your explanation does not!

Snakes said...

This level is awful. I got all the fruits down bar one, cleared the chocolate and licorice but had no combo's to move anything in the licorice box! I had 15 tries left and still couldn't do it.

Anonymous said...

Can someone please tell me what people are talking about when they set that they are re-setting ? How do you do that ? Do they mean the quit button ? you lose a life for that !

Anonymous said...

Having just read all comments re age. I am well into my eighties so not doing too bad.

Unknown said...

On my mobile device if you get a speckle bomb and match the color with the color of the frog, it makes the frog ready right away... this happened to me twice and it saved my butt. :)

Anonymous said...

Am I on the same game as everyone else? What I'm playing is neither easy or fun!

Robert Heuman said...

This level is not possible, you people are making this up ! I've wasted enough time and money on this level to quit and delete !

Anonymous said...

Another hard level....the fruit never fall where they should---and waste moves trying to get them right...Game over---try again...repeat repeat...repeat..repeat....Sometimes I don't see the frog come out of the chocolate patch! I guess I need a bunch of hand switches to pass this level....ugh....

Alessandra said...

Ridiculous!!!
All the fruit falls in wrong columns , 3 or more spaces away - impossible to move them over!!

Why bother trying with this when there is absolutely NO chance of winning ???
We don’t all have 10 hand switch boosters at our disposal!!

Anonymous said...

So helpful, thank you!
