Hints and tips for level 1202 Candy Crush Saga
You need to clear both the cake bombs as there is jelly under them both.
Colour bomb/stripe combos will complete level 1202.
The stripes provided will help a lot, especially if the licorice is out of the way, but the best combo will be colour bomb/stripe.
You will still need a bit of luck with the stripes though, make sure there are some candies the same colour as the stripe at the bottom under the cakes.

You can use stripe/wrap combos to help keep the licorice under control, but these probably won't clear the cakes completely.
I switched two colour bombs together to finish clearing the second cake in the video below, but that was just luck that they dropped together.

Really difficult level again. Trying to get a vertical stripe in the outermost columns is virtually impossible without a colour bomb, and even then the candies end up with a horizontal strips. Not enjoying this one bit...........................
I'm convinced the only way to do this is with double color bombs. Fortunately I got some.
Good tip, the two color bombs beside each other. If you have 'hand switches' from the sugar drops, I used them as soon as I had color bombs close to each other. That did the trick.
Use the locked vertical stripes in the outmost corners to clear the border side of the cake and beware that licorice doesn't block you when doing this. The inner side of the cake can afterwards be reasonably easy cleared with stripe and wrapped combo since there are plenty of moves available.
Just how do you get the combos you talk about, let alone two and close together? This continues the stupid absurdity of this. I play probably 75% less than I used to and don't spend a penny or use any boosters. Therefore, I'm getting way behind. But it's a stupid game. Emphasis on stupid that I'm playing it. King has gone out of their way to slow people down. I really don't care how skilled you are, you can't make combos out of nothing. This sucks so bad. It's just a habit coming here that I'm slowly breaking. Already am playing some better games(not King) that offer you the chance to think and win. Not just luck and spend money.
On this level for 1 day and used no boosters. Tonight I decided to use one of my fish and I was able to complete the level. The fish took out the cake pieces that I couldn't take out with the striped candies. Glad to be done this level!
This entire section has been boring. I am beginning to really hate this game. Not sure how much longer I can last.
Boring as usual. I guess the programmers got bored too.
Still stuck. Several days of mind numbing boredom. Upside is playing less and less. Threw away so many boosters on this dumb game.

So funny, after I vented, I passed. No boosters, dont have any, 2 colour bombs dropped together, game over..
Anyone else find that the stripes frequently pass straight through the squares without clearing them even when there is no liquorice blocking it?
I too have noticed the stripes not taking pieces of the cake out, even though no licorice was blocking it. Have also noticed the special candies going off when they aren't lined up and other times not going off when they should and not getting special candies sometimes when they do line up.
Try to break the vertical stripes on each end by hitting them with a horizontal stripe so that both of the verticals will help break parts of the cake. If you match them together you will only get one hit on the cake. Then watch for opportunities to make color bombs and stripes which matched together will do some real damage taking out the jellies. A fish booster helped me detonate the second cake which was very helpful taking out the last remaining jellies.
The two color bombs together got me through this mess on the second try. Ever since that "Do nothing" timed level, this help page has been amazingly helpful. Not going to start any more new rounds without doing my homework here.

what are they thinking with this level, if your lucky enough to get a striped to line up with the cake most time it does'nt make a hit???

So I read all the comments here and went back and tried to pass this ... About 15 times. I agree with above comment that there are glitches in this level. I'm playing on iPhone 6 and used stripes with no licorice above them, and if had no effect on clearing jelly above, so wtf wasted effort... Several times. Also I managed to get 2 color bombs side by side and deployed them and it did minimal damage, did NOT wipe everything out as above comments said. So if King reads this, cmon and fix these glitches. Not fair to try and play this and the candy combinations don't have desired effect. Makes it pointless to play WTF. Nancy, USA
So I am Nancy, I posted above comment yesterday. So today I started playing, but spun Booster Wheel first, and for only the 2nd time EVER, landed on JACKPOT, and got all my boosters replenished, since I had none. With that, I started playing and used two crucial hand switches, enabling me to get two Color Bombs together, used those, and they had the desired effect, knocked it all out, FINALLY. Good luck to all.
Tough level, but at least I feel like there is a certain amount of skill, not just luck, involved. Having a hard time getting both cakes to blow up. AND it's REALLY frustrating to finally have a vertical stripe lined up with a freakin' licorice blocking it. Okay... back at it....

This is another one I can't stand. Very frustrating. I am now doing different games because this has gotten so boring
Which other games? I've been looking for something besides CC and Soda Crush since both have become chores and I want to have fun when I play.
After umpteen tries, during one of which I matched two sprinkles which did a lot of damage but not enough, I finally finished the level when I used a switch hand to match two again and this time they cleared the board. Thank goodness - it was frustrating and getting boring.

Well that was weirded. If you set off the two stripes beside each other at the same time, they take out all of the cake at once. Then I did the other side, and I was done with three stars.

Need to be careful in setting off the striped candy at the side set off at the same time, fish booster useful in getting the cake but still needed a hammer to clear the last bit of cake.
Found it quite a fun level.Cleared first try,got 2 choc sprinkles side by side.
I'm playing on iPad, note that there is no jelly under the cakes, I cleared all the jelly and 1 cake, no jelly underneath so why CC/ King is it required to clear both cakes ? Impossible.
Referring to the blogger's comments above me and omursecandy, I've set off two stripes together quite a few times now and it didn't clear the cakes. Also there is jelly under the cakes, that is why I'm having difficulty clearing them both. I've just done one game where I accidentally knocked something on the board and it went to 5 extra moves, I didn't want that, so I clicked on the X at the top right hand side to come out of it and there was 5 extra moves. I was livid. I don't know what I touched but either way I should still be able to come out of it if I didn't click on 'OK'. What a waste of 9 gold bars. I've also use extra sparkles and fish and it didn't help at all. Oh well back to trying again.

So helpful! I had been at this level for a while before I read your comment. Went straight back to the game and passed first try! Used a fish booster and made sure to unlock and explode the stripes at the bottom one by one when there was no licorice above. I'd been matching them before, which was Losing me a vertical each time. Frustrating level.
How do others just casually get 2 sprinkles beside each other not just once but 3 or 4 times in a single game? Mine always end up miles apart. Driving me batty!
And to the person who was sooo lucky to get their SECOND jackpot???? I have never gotten one after playing for many months. Obviously I have because I am on level 1202! No fair!
This one was almost as easy as the do nothing timed level. Used color bomb and fish. Made another color bomb one level above. Use hand to combine. Cleared everything except for 1 piece of the right hand cake. Used hammer and done. Less than 5 minutes.
Feeling very frustrated with this level.
Today must be my lucky day.. got my second jackpot (both on my phone) and I was able to pass this one but had to use a hammer on the last piece of cake. There is jelly under the cake BUT when you take out the last piece and the giant hammer comes it blows up all the jelly under the cake so you don't have to do it.
If only it were as easy as the tips and advise. I can't get 2 disco balls beside each other either.
I finally won this after umpteen times. I thought I would have to clear the whole board but I got CC with 3 pieces of cake remaining. Happy to have finished this! I used a fish.

I too find that only about 1 out of 3 vertical stripes I use clear anything, some things go off when they shouldn't, some stripes don't get made when they should have. I have had the 2 color bombs match, didn't even phase either of the almost empty cakes. Would need that combo at least 4 times. Goodbye Candy Crush - no wonder so many of my friends quit playing.
Finished on first try: Got a full space dash (the one that gives you 2 color bombs). Both color bombs were side by side, but you can keep resetting until you get them together. Use them together and they cleared both cakes and all the jelly under them. One move!

This can be done with no boosters. Pick one side, release all stripes from it by using simple matches, set them off (beware of the liquorice swirls) and this should blast the 1st cake and ALL JELLIES BENEATH IT. The trick here is to let all the stripes from the other side IN THE LIQUORICE LOCKS before the cake’s explosion to avoid losing them. After the 1st cake is gone, you should be left with the four original stripes from the other side ready to blast the last one and all remaining jellies with it. Easier said than done, but it only took me 3 tries to pull this off. Good lucky to all!
Well, level 1202 finally did what level 1191 almost did. Convinced me to quit playing this silly game. There are so many "bugs" in level 1202 that the only way to beat it is with simple luck - no skill required.

Same....I don’t mind working on levels when I am smashing things...but this is boring.
I am bored out of my mind and hate this board. I know what I need to do but getting everything to line up just isn't happening. I got close once. I know eventually it will fall right for me but this game board is so dullI am not looking forward to even playing it for that one game where everything falls right. Good job Crush for coming up with such a monotonous board
2 tries later I am back to say I candy crushed the level (3 stars). Glad to be done with it, I really hated the level but don't give up. I did it with color bomb to striped candy.

Wasn't going to comment on this but after many failed tries; too much licorice in the way when a person gets a good move. Anyway used a fish and it road along on the moving belt so I couldn't active it. Fish finally went around, I had one pie of cake left and it didn't take it out as it should have . . so lost again. Needless to say I am not happy or having fun. Another give me luck board.
I'm back wasted all my lives, waiting for more so I can use my 3 sprinkle balls and quit if I can't win after numerous tries. Not going to play for days.
Don’t waste your boosters or money on this one ! Only a lucky board will clear it. TOTAL TIME WASTER !!!!
We’ll I’ve had it with this level. Enough ! I’ll use up what I have and then quit . Total waste of time . I won’t spend a penny on this crap anymore. Game should be fun ! Remember when it was ??!!! I DOUBT IT !

Played this way to many times and can't get close. Hopefully I can get a decent board.Getting annoyed that after every game CC pops up something for us to buy. We already know how. If we want to buy we will, so quit this please.I am on a level sometimes with a half hour of certain boosters and having all the pop up to buy takes my time away, how is this fair? Oh its not.
