Candy Crush Saga Level 1291 Tips and Video

Hints and tips showing how to pass level 1291 Candy Crush Saga without boosters by Cookie.
Level 1291 Candy Crush Saga is classified as a super hard level so you are likely to lose some lives before you manage to pass it.
You need 15 wrapped candies to complete level 1291, 12 of them are already provided by the four UFO's providing you can set them all off, but this is not necessary and may not be the best way to complete this level in the moves available.
You can use stripes to set off the UFO's, or stripe/wrap combos, which will also clear some of the licorice out of the way. You will have to waste some combos keeping the licorice under control, but stripe/wrap combos will still add to our total so not a problem. Unfortunately there are now not enough moves to complete the level in this way since the moves have been reduced to only 14.
If you are very good at making wrapped candies you could always try making them all and forget the UFO's, although that will be a bit of a challenge.
The best, and possibly only, way to complete level 1291 is to make a colourbomb and switch it with a wrap. If there are enough candies on the board of the right colour this could well give you all the wraps you need. If this combo doesn't quite make enough wraps you will need to detonate one or two of the UFO's using stripes to complete the orders.

If you can reach this level, you must be quite good at making stripe/wrap combos and this is what it takes to pass this level. Feed the frog to explode the jellies at the top left. Quite a fun level, pass it after a few tries.

Ooops, this is meant for level 1290, sorry.

I have set off striped wraps and stripes and they don' set off the saucers. What am I doing wrong? I made ten on my on but I needed a little help from the saucers. Do you have to hit them more than once?

I think you may have a licorice blocking the saucer. It has to have a clear path to the saucer to work.

Above comment is right. Wait to unleash a stripe/wrap combo until there is a clear path to the saucer. Otherwise it will be wasted. Not easy as there seems to be continuous licorice on the belt.

I had a clear path to the saucer and it didn't go off. A glitch methinks....

I had a clear path but the saucer didn't go off. Think I've found a glitch....

If you can get one upward stripe on top of another and fire one off, it will also fire off the other one, will count as two shots at the licorice and will set off the UFO.

I didn't find this glitchy on my iPad. Can't shoot saucer through licorice, but worked with a clear path. Got lucky on maybe the third try just using vertical stripes on two saucers and the rest of the wraps came.

I couldn't get through the licorice on the ipad. Firing off a vertical on top of another vertical didn't work to break into the saucer. (I know it should, but it didn't.). And, As soon as I cleared a licorice, another would fall. I finally gave up and used the special candy booster. The specials produced a wrapped candy every time and I hit the required number without needing to set off the saucers. -Jaime

My first try I made a few wraps and then set off one saucer. When I tried to set off 2nd saucer it didn't work even though there was no licorice blocker. Glich? Next time after making most of wraps I set off one saucer and only needing two more wraps I swiped a chocolate bomb/stripe and it set off two saucers. Ended up with more wraps than I needed. Finished with 14 moves left, used no boosters.
You can use a Lollipop on a saucer though if it isn't locked in licorice. I did that once on another level. Just in case someone doesn't know. Good luck.

Got this first try after reading here. Decided to make my own wraps but with 9 moves left I still needed 9, so I used 2 hammers to set off 2 saucers and then managed to make 3 more wraps. Couldn't for the life of me put a stripe with a wrap! Tried a colour bomb/ stripe combo but didn't clear the licorice long enough for me to make a vertical stripe to hit a saucer. Thank goodness for boosters. Good luck everyone! Only 2 stars, but im just fine with that!

If you have a check booster use it & each check will become a wrap. Crushed the level without setting off any of the saucers because the check kept appearing. NC

Use the 'tick' booster, hot it first time

I must have had the ultimate lucky board. The licorice kept blocking attempts to hit the saucers with stripes, but then I got two colour bombs together and swapped them. That set off all four saucers one after another. With all the cascades set off by this activity, three more wraps formed and detonated. In other words, with the two adjacent colour bombs, I went from needing fifteen wraps to sugar crush and three stars in one move. If only I had this kind of luck on some of the other levels.

Thanks for the tip on using the check. Got it on the first try with 13 moves left and only hit one saucer.

Licorice is blocking your moves. Make sure there is no licorice in front of the saucers.

This is downright scary. Got this one and the last one on the first tries. This NEVER happens twice in a row. Not complaining though :) Wish you all the same luck!

Thank you for the special tip!! I kept making verticals but often didn't have a clear path!! Special really helped and then I put two sprinkles together to set off rest of saucers- and done!

A M A Z I N G. !!!! I got this on my first try, without using any boosters. My board had the makings of a wrap and then everything worked well.

Onwards and upwards.

Good luck everyone.

Same here Kevin. Despite it being chat under the saucers I have not yet been able to set one off. I might try this level on my PC. They sometimes behave a little different.

The tip provided to use check mark booster is right on. I tried several times to pass this w/o booster, licorice kept impeding my progress. Passed it on first time with check mark booster.

iPad and same problem as others. I was delighted to be able to set off a striped candy towards a saucer and there was no liquorice blocker but it didn't set the saucer off :-(

The easiest way is to use a free check booster. It produces more than enough.

Hi all.

Why waste a checkmark? This level is crazy easy. 1st try got it and only set off 1 saucer. Wraps are plentiful, funny people use boosters on their 1st try. Lol.

Need careful control of striped candy to avoid the liquorice. Not that hard.

The nice thing about setting off one flying saucer is that it will place two of the resulting wrapped candies on the conveyer belt to destroy more licorices that may be left. And if you're real lucky the flying saucer will place a wrapped candy on another flying saucer. I finally started with three boosters, including the check mark. I was hoping for more check marks to appear, but only got the one. But that was more than sufficient as I finished with about a dozen moves left.

I don't agree with the comments I read above that a wrapped-striped combo will be a waste if it can only destroy licorice. You can get rid of three licorices that way, clearing a path to the saucers with follow-on vertical striped candies if you can create them before the licorice comes back.

I definitely had a lucky board. 1st try managed to set off stripes when a path was clear to hit the saucers. I was lucky to make a sparkle and wrap, once hit that got me the remainder of wraps I needed. 20 moves left, 2 stars. It is such a relief after so many hard levels and frustration.

Go slowly, when the conveyor belt moves make sure you have a clear path with no liquorice to block your stripe from hitting the saucer.

Good luck everyone.

After a few attempts I came here and read the tip to use a tick (or check) mark. It worked for me, I didn't need to set off the flying saucers to achieve the required number of packages to win. Thanks for the tip and good luck.

I used a check mark booster and only got ONE MYSTERY CANDY on the board
and the second one was on the belt amongst all the liquorice!!!
WTF ???
I am sick and tired of wasting boosters like this they are really taking the piss

Defo need to try this on a laptop! Another clear iPhone stitch up only getting 15 moves instead of 40!! The best I've managed yet is 8 wear per candies! Near impossible

Hpattyson said...

Why do I always get less moves?!?! I only have 15 to start with!! This is about the 10th level I’ve got less moves than everyone else.

Anonymous said...

Not sure why this keeps happening- but I only get 14 moves to collect 15 wraps when the video shows 40 moves!! WTH!! Tired of using my free boosters to play a game that is unfair -- rigged! For heaven's sake it is a GAME!! Skill & planning moves -- yes, but when it is not fair to begin with -- is nuts!!

Anonymous said...

But there are only 14 moves, not 40

Foxdean said...

Don't think it's possible without boosters and 15 moves, when I saw how few moves there were I switched to my laptop, still took 4 tries with 40 moves, although suffered some bad luck as well, as down to one wrap to get twice I had created the wrap but could not set it off. Good luck, borrow a laptop if you haven't got one or you might go insane!

Do any of you actually READ the tips or WATCH the video?
The video is COMPLETED IN 14 MOVES! Yet people are still complaining that it starts with 40! It doesn't matter if the video started with 100 moves! It is COMPLETED IN 14!!!
