Candy Crush Saga level 1338 Tips and video

Hints and tips showing how to pass level 1338 Candy Crush Saga without boosters
Level 1338 is an ingredients level, you have to collect three ingredients to complete the level. The first two are on the board and the third one will appear once the first two are collected.
Concentrate on growing the popcorns in the middle of the board using wrapped candies and other special candies. The final ingredient will drop down the middle column so the sooner you clear the popcorns the better chance you have of completing the level. At the same time you should be using those combos to clear the waffles at the bottom of the board. Wrapped candies and combos using wraps will be best, but if you can get two colourbombs together from the popcorns you can switch them together also.

At the start try to make matches beside the Sawners to stop them spawning the cream blockers, if you can get rid of the ones at one side of the board you can work on that side to get the ingredients down.
At the same time as you're bringing the ingredients down you should be making stripes, wraps and combos, which you can use to hit the other two spawners and keep them under control so they don't block the ingredients.
The ingredients fall on moves 21, 16, 11 and 6 so make these moves where you want the ingredients to fall to make it easier to get them out of the exits.

Tin tin here.....boy I wish I got it first try...its a stinker...once the blockers start to grow its pretty hopeless. I often quit and exit the game, no hope of breaking through. I guess my lucky board is on its way.

Tin tin here...oh well...got it the next time...so pleased to be off this level.

Good advice to only work on one side of the board. The ingredients fall every five moves so you have control over where they drop. Finished second try with four moves left, no boosters, three stars.

Ridiculous level!! Nearly impossible, time to say goodbye to CC! This is no fun for me anymore.....

Finally thought to use a coconut wheel. Make sure to place it low enough on the board moving downward to hit the Spawners on both sides. It helped initially then other careful moves did the rest. NC

As soon as you make a combo, or a bomb and before it even falls, it is covered up with cream. More of these levels should be designated Hard Levels! The last hard level,I played, beat on the first try. These last few, taken days! Lucky board syndrome, AGAIN!

Definitely good advice to work on one side only. I was all over the place the first few tries and was getting very frustrated. Working one side worked like a charm. Should have come here first and read the comments. 3 hits seems to clear the spawners if you can get close to them. Just cleared one on the left and got the fruit down that side. Good luck everyone!

Thanks for the tips- I was all over the board also. Used coconut wheel low and worked only left side of board and watched the countdown- and done!

Is it just me, or is anyone else annoyed that King have decided to tell us which are "Hard" levels and which aren't? I'm finding this particular level way harder than any of the King dubbed "Hard" levels in this world, and I'm getting really fed up with it.

First try - hopeless in spite of trying to clear one side only, even though I used a coconut wheel as suggested. Second time - great. I killed a spawner and got all the fruit down easily. Not nearly as awful as I had feared! More and yet more wheels appeared!

Don't worry too much about the spawners; just make stripes and wraps underneath the ingredients and they will shoot down the shuts. I got this done the third time. Grace from DU

Followed advice here and it worked with moves to spare. Making sprinkle balls helped next to stripes worked best.

This game is rediculous. Not spending any more money. Getting no where, game after game.

Reset until you have a horizontal combinations to knock out the spawners need to get rid of at least two. Then keep track of when the fruit falls.

Thanks for the coconut wheel tip. Used the booster & it worked like a charm. I actually got 6 wheels during the game which was very unusual for my luck. This allowed me to get rid of the evil spawners! This was the only easy level for me during this episode. The rest sucked big time! Thanks again & good luck!

Thanks Bill. Followed your advice & above comments & it worked.

I read the tips, worked on one side and beat it in 2 tries. Lucky!

I was able to beat it first try. Not bragging but posting so others can know it is doable. Of course luck had a lot to do with it as I got a color bomb next to a stripe and that killed two of the spawners. Also, the tip about when the fruit falls helped a lot. A few moves before the last fruit came I made a stripe wrap combo and made sure I was making matches just above it when the last fruit came down. Playing on PC definitely is easier than mobile.

Make sure if you do get to take out one side of the board you make your moves on that side so the fruit falls out on that side. Otherwise you are screwed on the last one.

Hate this level, hate the spawners, I have tried with coconut wheels but unless you can break the spawners you are shot! No wonder I left this game for 6 months, might be time for another good break!!

Get lots of explosives...keep the middle open.

Dont worry about the spawners. Get as many explosives as you can and keep the middle open for the fruit to drop through. Worked for me.

Playing on PC I followed tips above. I picked the side where I thought I would have most luck hitting the spawners and hit them every chance I got.
Try to set up a move in the column where you want the fruit to drop (preferably a vertical stripe as it will let the fruit drop right through). It was very helpful to know at which moves fruit dropped. Thank you to Cookie's site for that information.
