Candy Crush Saga Level 1497

Hints and tips showing how to pass level 1497 Candy Crush Saga without boosters by Allina Rumfelt
You have 20 moves to clear all the jelly.  There is not a whole lot of strategy to this board,  just a bit of luck and some good lucky candies and you should clear the board.  Move choices are pretty  limited starting off so you pretty much have to take what you can get.
Work  on the bottom as much as you can until the board starts opening up and you can work on special candies and combos.  A chocolate bomb/stripe combo will do a lot of damage to the jelly on this board.
Look carefully at the board before every move as it's easy to miss good moves on such a complicated board at the start.

I do not have 20 moves. I have 18 and I believe the board is also somewhat different. Have they made this game more difficult??
I do not find it easy in the least.

There is 18 moves on the PC (iPad version not available yet). I did it on the first try no boosters. Just study your board before every move to make sure you take advantage of possible stripes, wraps or color bomb.

This level is now much harder than the video shows. Only 18 moves and the board is different. Most times I only have about one or two moves before the board shuffles. And that continues until I have less than 10 moves remaining, which is the point when I can finally start "playing". I'm sure it's possible to beat it in one shot but you'd have to be given an enormously lucky board. I'm just waiting for my lucky board. No skill involved in this level at all. Why did they have to make it impossible to beat?? Even boosters don't help AT ALL. Brutal.

There have been some insanely stupid boring levels in CC but this one takes the biscuit!!!! no choice of moves until late in the game, then not enough moves. NOT paying for them to take the mick.! Sod off!

Unbelievably difficult! 18 moves and so many reshuffles. I've come close twice, so I sure wish I had those two extra moves they took away. How is this not labeled a Hard Level???

Helpme said...

I am not even close this is really hard as not enough moves and no lucky board all day

I keep getting 4 second bombs! You can't get past 3 moves because there's none to make! Impossible im about to give up on this game!

To call this level boring is giving it credibility to be a game, it's not! you will move on when king want you to. just go find another game, not one of king's! this is a pure waste of time and energy.

There is no way to beat this in 18 moves...then they change the purchase of extra luve to 9 bars the 15....seriously...
Searching for a new game....I am over the frustration.

Perhaps they have changed this since I am playing this on the 14th. Lots of mystery candies which make lots of cascades and stripes ripping around the board. Started out with one of each booster after reading the advice here and got this second try. Had to use a hammer at the end to whack a stripe to get the last jelly. Also 18 moves on iPad. Good luck everyone!

Wow just got to within 154 blockers Another 100 moves and I might have got it.
These last few levels have just been boring and monotonous rubbish.
Time to let CC die.

Anonymous said...

Tin tin here. I also only had 18 moves but got it without boosters within ten tries. Must have got a lucky board, it sort of blew itself up in the last few moves, so it is doable without boosters.

This level is complete garbage. Have gotten nowhere close in a couple of days. Fewer moves with cream blockers that require more hits. Stay consistent King and stop being a bunch of douches! King sucks!

Why use boosters on your 2nd try???

Isnt part of the fun seeing if you can accomplish it on your own 1st?? Or you just take everyones else word for it without trying?

You give up easy.

Took a lot of attempts and only completed on very last move, it can be done without boosters. Attack the mystery candy as soon as they form then pure luck.

If everyone's game is the same as mine, the opening advice isn't good because I ONLY get lucky candies if i make a switch on the top half of the board. Any move i make on the bottom results in 0 lucky candies for that turn. When the board totally opens up i suspect they'll fall from using the bottom half then cos there's a direct 'open' line to the top - ie you're pulling down candies from the top of the board - when you start you're not if you use the bottom half.

A strategy that I think actually helped me is to break through the middle blockers as quickly as possible and that will give a lot more room for cascading candies to make the specials you will need to complete the level.

I finally managed it with 18 moves and no boosters however as I had a lot of combos on the board had to buy 5 more moves to finish but it was worth 9 gold bars.

Anonymous said...

Someone mentioned this a few posts up, but I think the trick is you have to make matches at the top and specials will drop down nearly every time; after enough drops you'll be able to make some VERY nice combinations that can start cascades and make more specials drop down.
- Use the specials as soon as you can, don't save them up. More will drop down from the top.
Haven't beaten it yet, but had ONE left. Resisted the urge to spend money...with great difficulty, lol.

CC has become ridiculous. Done.

I've got the feeling the designers of CC are sitting back, laughing, saying, "Nope, there's no way you can beat this level in 18 f'ing moves.
Let's sit back & collect more money"... from all of us, determined, obsessed & loyal players 😜
I'm sad to say that I had to buy more moves (I had collected over 100 dollars so it didn't sting that much to get the final
jellies, but still 😡). I've got 65 choc speckle balls but only 6 hammers.
Anyway, I'm thru but claim the right to bitch, which I don't think I've done before.
Enough..
I had a decent board going in, lots of the same colors near or next to each other. I did well with the specials, including a choc speckle ball, wraps & good old choc & bombs. I did switch candies twice, both times to match a stripe & wrap. I still had 7 jellies left & barely made it with the stripe/wrap combo.
Good luck. I hate to see what lies ahead.

""Work on the bottom as much as you can until the board starts opening up and you can work on special candies and combos""",,, that's true. You have to open full board and then you probably finish this without any hassle. After read this I tried it and it worked. With 18 moves.

Anonymous said...

Very difficult with so few moves. Not easy to work on the bottom. Hope for a lucky board.

Anonymous said...

Well, I've tried five times and used all my fish boosters and still didn't pass. As usual, my first couple tries started out with good combos and every move was mostly on the bottom right, then the next try was mostly at the top left with a lot of moves, but all the good moves didn't hit many blockers and the rest of my tries were crap. That's usually how it goes.

Anonymous said...

It's seems impossible to get this with so few moves cause you get a lot of combos, but I can never get all the blocks! How many lives do I have to waste before I pass this level?!?!?!

Anonymous said...

Why can't I get through this level?!?! Your stupid striped fish don't do crap!!!!! They should hit a candy and turn it into a stripe! I got three of them and they just run into blockers!!!! Dumb ass that designed this Shit is STUPID and should be fired!

Never pay a cent Bobby said...

I've just tried three times so far, but it seems starting at the top, not the bottom, would be best because you end up with empty crates below until you break the blocker wall. Empty crates = less chance of matches.

Ann said...

this truly does seem impossible and have to just wait for that lucky board

I think any board with movement is kind of fun as anything can happen. While I haven't won yet, I'm enjoying the ride.

Unknown said...

What's going on with this one? It keeps shuffling then finishes saying no more moves when I can clearly see at least two moves to make. Not happy.

Anonymous said...

I rarely post in here, but I do read the tips when I get stuck on a level. This one is ridiculous...doable if you get a lucky board, but all I seem to get is 1 move...*shuffle*...1 move...*shuffle*...*shuffle*...*shuffle*..."no more moves". Driving me crazy, and I'm losing interest really fast.

Anonymous said...

Anyone who get more that one shuffle in a row is very lucky. Mine shuffles and if that shuffle has no moves instead of reshuffling, it just ends the game even though I have plenty of moves. Also what some-one else said about it ending after a shuffle saying no moves, when there are visible moves is also true... all the time... it is a very buggy level

I thought oh here we go again another long lengthy level to try and complete. I tried sparkle and fish boosters, twice, and they didn't do anything. This time I tried all three boosters and reset until the sparkle was next to the wrap. I made sure there were enough of the same colour candies before setting them off, I had thirteen, that way they do more damage. I wasn't getting too excited with only 18 moves, so I played slowly. I used a handswitch to put a stripe and wrap together, then I got two wraps together, twice. I had a sparkle and made another to go next to it when it just blew up by itself, typical. After that it was plain sailing, but I still checked play carefully. I had 6 moves left and got three stars.

I think if you're lucky enough to start off with good combos, whether they're your own or boosters, then there is a good chance you'll get good combo's along the way.

Good luck everyone.

Yes, I'll be patient with a board that relies on luck. And I'm not one to go crying "I quit" when I run into trouble.

But the one thing that WILL make me mad is when it tells you there are no more moves ... when there clearly is one or more on the board. That's just crap.

Unknown said...

I have no idea how this happens, but I came back to say don't give up. I just cleared this level first try and no boosters with 1 move left. It reshuffled 3 times and the cascading with special candies just played itself out. All I had to do was sit back and watch. I don't like to brag or make others feel worse if you are struggling with a certain level, but I did come back to encourage those of you who want to give up.

Anonymous said...

On iPad I have only 17 moves.

Gudrun said...

I hardly dare say it, but I made this one first try, 7 moves left, 576.000 points. Guess I got extremely lucky: I hardly had any moves, so I just did what was available, and then a cascade started...

So don't give up, all you need is a lucky board...

Anonymous said...

I've got to needing just 1 candy quite a few times and ran out of moves which is why they lowered the amount I presume. That's very unfair to recent users I feel.

Anonymous said...

USE THE FISH BOOSTER. BEST TIP!

Unknown said...

Only 17 moves on my mobile. Impossible. These levels are not as fun anymore.

Anonymous said...

17 moves. im annoyed. another luck based game. coming here for luck.

Anonymous said...

Ignore all the negative comments and do this. Use a color bomb and stripe/wrap along with a fish booster if you have them.
I reset the board until the color bomb and wrap matched. Made sure that there where a good number of like colors (12 blues)scattered across the board then set off the combo. Completely opened up the board made it a standard cleanup. 7 moves left. Not impossible, or waiting for a lucky board. Next then later the Sugar Cube 180 hunt.

Anonymous said...

Using up my boosters and stuff to get through these - I made it this far - going to make it to 1500 and am DONE. CC is all about the lucky board - no real skill. Too bad I can't give any remaining boosters away to friends. Good luck to all. sk

I hear everyone saying they only got 18 moves and it suppose to be 20. Well what do you think about this, I'm on the iPhone 7 plus and I only have 17 moves. King is getting worse and worse. 😡👎🏽

Anonymous said...

Tried a couple of times without success. Came on here for inspiration and passed with 3 moves to spare.

Yoshi said...

Selected all boosters at beginning of game, restarted without playing 20 times until I got a good combo setup. It seems a lot of levels require this to pass.

Anonymous said...

Only 17 moves to begin with on my phone, this sucks.

LLG said...

It's got down to 16 moves now...
No further comment needed, I guess !
