Candy Crush Saga Level 1853

Hints and tips showing how to pass level 1853 Candy Crush Saga without boosters by Cookie
Level 1853 can be a very frustrating level and you could lose quite a few lives due to no available moves.
You will definitely get some shuffling at the start and often there will be no moves after the shuffle and it's game over.
The only thing you can do is try to leave yourself a move to avoid shuffles, but this is not always possible as there is often only one available move in the first few moves. You need a bit of luck to get through the first moves, but once you start to open up the board it gets easier.
You will need some heavy duty combos to clear all the blockers and jelly, colour bomb/wrap combos are really helpful as are stripe/wrap combos. You need a bit of luck with the mystery candies too, if they turn into blockers and licorice they can make things much harder whereas coconut wheels and colour bombs are best.

Still got the bug where it says there are no possible moves even though you can see that there are. This has been about 6 weeks now so they need to sort it as you lose so many lives and there should be no excuse on a brand new level like this. What is the point of a game you can't play?

Anonymous said...

3 moves on 3 plays so far. Looks like this is going to be hard work.

Same comment as above. The game shuffles after one or two moves then says there are no more moves. Doesn't even give a chance to play. This bug has been going on now for a while. When is King going to fix this? There are only 5 lives at a time and when they are all used up without getting a chance to play the game at all then it is really frustrating!!!!

Oh dear back to no moves when they are clear to be seen not fair King ..please give us a chance..

5 Games, 5 Moves. Think it's time to quit!

I've got the same gripe about it reshuffling once, then the game's over. I'm wondering if King is even aware of this.

Aaarrrggghhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!! Same as everyone else, one move then shuffle then close...BUT, just got down to one jelly left and got a colour bomb! Then clicked the wrong bloody button and shut the game down! ... next 3 lives all gone after one move...aaarrggghhhhhh!!!!!!!

I read the comments before playing it for the first time. I was ready to lose a few lives but surprise! First try, no boosters, one star. Guess I got lucky... FM

Anonymous said...

First try, no problem, used a fish :-)

After reading the comments, thought I would be here for ages. Passed second try and got really close the first try on the PC. No boosters. Did shuffle a few times to begin with but always had moves.

This level has a bug. Says no more moves, reshuffles and then ends the game each time. Clearly multiple colours do exist to allow the player to make combinations. No point playing until bug fixed

I'm beginning to wonder if the new approach by King is to shuffle the candies once and if there are no moves after the shuffle, the game ends, although it is possible that many potential moves (ie, lots of colours that have three or more on the board) are still there. However, on other levels, I had seen a shuffle that resulted in no moves followed by another shuffle. Perhaps the glitch is that when it comes to counting candies for possible additional moves, special candies like the mystery candies, wraps, stripes and fish are not counted, even though they can form patterns. King needs to fix this level. It seems doable with a reasonably lucky board, but to get there, a player has to get past those 60-75% of attempts that end with the "no more moves" glitch. I had three lives when I started this level, and two ended with the glitch. Perhaps I need to wait until it's available on mobile, where the glitch does not seem as common.

I'm playing on iPad. Used a fish booster. Never reshuffled and got through on the first try.

Anonymous said...

Fish booster. Beat first try. Thanks for the tip!

I'm lucky if the game even opens at this level on my iPad- seems to die as soon as I press 'play' and takes a life away in the process, along with dying at the end of the previous game as I was about to get my candy collecting reward. Seriously fed up ...

Hi

I think someone was sleeping at King and switched the 3 and 2. With 23 moves it is almost impossible to make it.

2 days and still struggling ....
Not sure how you all got through on the 1st time.
Tablet or phone I am just not getting close.
Disliking the game.... May be time to end my reig..

Finally got through this game after three days by using fish at the beginning and 8 hammers lol

I don't really believe the "first time, no problem" comments. I have been stuck on this level for a while, and finally had a super lucky board with double color bombs twice. Ended up with 4 jellies left, 2 hidden under blockers. Rediculous. This FAR closer than any other attempt. Random luck level I'd say. Typically the left and right sides are still holding blockers at the end. Getting pretty tedious.

I don't believe the "first try; used a fish" commenters either - when the rest of us need a kazillion boosters to pass.

Stopped by for tips and good luck.
Tip - Use the fish
Now send me some easy boards to my iPhone please, cookie:)

Anonymous said...

23 moves on iPhone too - impossible with so few moves!

Anonymous said...

Also got lucky here. First try, one lollipop hammer, and done. So, I guess it means, wait for the lucky board. Good luck.

Anonymous said...

Must have had a lucky board as I got it first time. Other than a few bombs the mystery candies were mainly stripes and wraps. Switched wrapped/wrapped a couple of times and with two moves left a fish set off and took out the final two jellies.

Anonymous said...

Certainly hard on Android tablet. I selected all three boosters and kept resetting til I had the wrapped beside the freckle. I knew I needed maximum initial hits to start the destruction ofthe corners and vertical sides. Took many resets to set this up.

I played slowly as I knew I would also need another freckle with either a wrap or stripe.

Towards the end I manouevered a fish with a stripe to target the corners yet again. Success at last.

23 moves?? Umm, fix the glitch please. I'd like 32 moves like the video! Seriously...

Unknown said...

At this point they've made it beyond impossible. Use all three boosters to start with, doesn't even get you halfway. I finally thought I will be done with this even if I use all my boosters because I don't care anymore. Get this. It took the three beginning boosters ( I had already used all three many times to start with ), 14 switch hands, and 12 hammers. You've got to be kidding me!

Anonymous said...

I see this is now rated as a "Super Hard Level". This is the first time I've seen this. Why are they making things harder and harder? It's not fair to players who are way behind the early players. It's a game. It's supposed to be fun.

Anonymous said...

Impossible!! I will never pass this level...

Anonymous said...

Start out using a color bomb and a striped wrap. Keep resetting the board until you have a color bomb and a stripe next to each other (or a color bomb and a wrap next to each other) Then switch them together. This will wipe out quite a bit of the board. Then continue to do your best making combinations. At the very least continue to make moves that eliminate the most jellies. Once I did this I passed.

Anonymous said...

This is probably the hardest level for me so far. I have used all my boosters and still cannot get past this level. Praying for a lucky board. I am going to need it to get past this one.

Anonymous said...

This is the end for me. Have used boosters, reset, and every thing. It is only a hard level because there are not enough moves. Time to move on.

Judy said...

I like the new setup - being able to scroll down easily.

Anonymous said...

I have had lots of combinations wrapped/striped, sprinkled/striped, wrapped/wrapped and they just don't even make much of a clearance not like the video. Also if a bomb appears it's only got 5 countdown again unlike the video with 7.... As usual an unfair rigged game...

Anonymous said...

Not same as video!! And tried all boosters! Can't !!! Helppp.
Please just set me up with lucky board!

The most BORING level ever! Often no choice of moves which renders the player a non-taking robot. Only 23 moves! Still haven't passed and losing interest. Posting for luck.

... I found that, when I need extra boosters I can switch from Safari to Firefox and play games in the 1100s to collect candy.
At least more interesting.

Infrey said...

Finally got it! Went back to former levels and collected 4 hammers, and used all to finish. Good luck to all on this boring level.

After 1852 we are challenged with 1853 -- unreal - King games designers must be enjoying the frustration they cause

Alessandra said...

One of the most badly designed levels in ages !!!

Not enough moves for that amount of jelly & the constant reshuffling is downright annoying.

Tedious stuff

No skill involved here, just blind luck... here’s hoping ...!

anonymous said...

So, video show 5 more moves than iPhone does. Now I understand why people quit! Why folks complain. This sucks! Have gotten close a couple of times—the extra moves would surely help! Fish are great, but LUCK is key! This is a tedious, agonizing level. No great tips here. This addiction is messed up

Posting only for the second time here but trying to give back to this helpful site. I start with only 23 moves on the iPhone. I played this numerous times and never got seriously close. The closest I got was maybe 14 jelly remaining and probably still some blockers on the board. It may be theoretically possible to finish in 23 moves but I just don't see how. I activated all three boosters (CB, S+W, Fish) and made a lot more progress on the very first try. The thing is, with boosters activated, it really opens up the board (maybe still need a bit of luck) early. In all those previous failed attempts, I'm down to move 12 or 13 by the time there is enough room to start creating combos. Plus, the columns on the two sides take far too many moves to remove. On the second try using boosters, I got the board fairly open with 18 moves left, giving at least some time to creating moves and knocking out blockers. I spent the next 16 moves doing the fundamental, blocking-and-tackling moves in Candy Crush. Creating a strip here, exploding a wrap there, hoping for a cascade. I created a CB but couldn't match it to a special candy and had to use it on a bomb that was down to 1. With about 6 moves left, all the blockers were gone so it's just jelly. I try to destroy as much as I can, but with 2 moves left there's still 3 small patches of jelly in 3 different areas of the board. Ugh. Then came the luck. A wrap settled next to a fish at the bottom of the board. I swiped the two and each fish went to one of the 3 remaining jelly areas and took out everything. I'm not saying these results are easily or likely to be reproduced, but in retrospect there's no way I pass that level if I didn't have a fish booster activated.

I know this site is all about the "no boosters" approach, but I just can't see how it's possible to do this level in 23 moves. Even with all boosters activated, I needed a lucky fish + wrap.

I think the key to this level is you have to find a way to open up the board really quickly, as in the first 6-7 moves. For me, boosters made that happen.

King is really making some of these levels ridiculous with the reduced number of moves.
