Hints and tips showing how to pass level 1885 Candy Crush Saga without boosters by Cookie
You have to score 35,000 points in 35 seconds on a very restricted board!
The two halves of the board are not related in any way so it's like playing two games at the same time, which can be confusing and time consuming.
Aim for clearing the extra time candies as much as possible but always look for colour bomb and wrap patterns as these two special candies will be the best for giving cascades, which in turn will give you more extra time candies.
The score has been made a bit higher but as long as you can work your way into the extra time candies you should be able to make it within a few lives. The video below is the original version which was slightly easier.

I'll follow others and post for luck. This truly is a mindless game where you look for matches over and over and end up with a score no where near the required amount. It would be so nice if King lowered the required score or increased the time so that we are not playing repetively in hopes of the lucky board.

I finally passed this after countless games. Not sure if this was the trick, but on my iPhone I selected the color bomb booster. I was forced to connect it with a single color, but then later another color bomb showed up. I continued to get stripes and more time until I finally passed. Hooray, so glad to get past this.

Finally passed it. Really thought this one was going to be impossible even with boosters and reading all the tips.
My winning board came on PC and had about 30k points at the end. Never having got so far before, I had to buy extra 15 seconds time at the end with some gold bars that I've collected for free. Finished up with 46k points.
Come on CC make the target achievable. I don't have the option of PC. Just pass us like u have on other levels without actually getting the target score. This seems totally unachievable on iPad. Help!!! I've had what I would say was lucky boards with loads of stripes and bombs and still only got 11000 points.

Impossible and way too boring. I refuse to buy any gold bars for this absurd level. Just a waste of time for a game I once found enjoyable.

KING....just curious. Why are there different requirements depending on the device one plays on. I know this question has been asked numerous times. Appears that you make it harder for those that can only play on a iPad. Doesn't seem fair.

Hate this level. In less than 5 minutes...poof your Ives are gone! So much shuffling. Come on, King...make this doable!

I would love to see a video of Colkie beating this level now with the 35,000 points in 35 seconds requirement! I have played this over and over and over to no avail. I've tried it with boosters, without boosters, leaving specials on the board to explode at the end...every method I could think of. I got 23,000+ ONCE! All the other times, I been well below that, not even hitting 10,000 many of the times. I have played on my iPhone, my Kindle Fire and my PC...nothing works. I give up...I'm out!

41,820 finally passed on iPad got two speckled balls and one I was able to leave on the board till the time ran out.....that's the way to do it.....my lucky board , no skill involved.
So, it's Friday and I see treasures chests in the future. Ha! Guess I won't be opening them since I can't gett close to passing this one! Ugh!
Can anyone suggest another game that is fair and enjoyable? Getting nowhere on this one after coming this far.

Playing on an Android mobile, 35k in 35 seconds, this is like a metaphor for the student loans I'm trying to pay off nine years later. As such, I don't pay for boosters. (Playing 3 years, and haven't spent a dime on the game.)
I've noticed the timer doesn't run while reshuffling, but it does run while dropping cascades, which suuuucks. If I start with both a color bomb and a striped/wrap combo, I can get about 20k. Which means going back and collecting sugar drops until I get enough gold bars to purchase extra time. As frustrating as this level is, it presents a different kind of challenge. I literally spent MONTHS stuck on 420, before boosters.

This is virtually impossible to beat on the IPad. This needs to be fixed so it's fair.
Finally on iPad with no boosters. Just made it over 35,000 with my 35 moves. Earlier I was 300 short and refused to pay the $0.99 for extra time. It took over 300 tries that go quickly if you alternate an iPhone, iPad and computer and just come back during the day to repeat.
1885 is a insult to your players, King. Virtually impossible!

As much as I appreciate Ms. Cookies advice, I would love to see the creator of this level to post a video how this one can be passed. It's absurd!
Convinced King is trying to get rid of players and not sure quite why.
Just another frustrating, boring day. Feel like I'll never solve this one.
Wish I could give some advice, but sadly I am unable to pass this one and thinking of just moving on. These impossible timed levels are tough on the elderly players and on a personal note has got me through a lot during numerous chemo treatments. Wishing you players good luck. Maybe I will check back to see if King decides to make this passable at some point.

Deleting game right at this moment.There are no candy to much,bar with no possible moves cames after every move.Dont mess with people brains.You are not worth my time!!!
Played a few more times. Isn't it fun to think you are having a decent round, then looking at the score "thermometer" and seeing that it isn't even registering yet. I also like the way it will let you make a move, to claim a +5, at the last possible second and you don't get the time for it... also it's gone, so doesn't become a wrap for the big bang ending.
I never thought I could have this much fun without actually going in for root canal work.

Congratulations to you MB. Been playing for almost 3 weeks and have not received a lucky board. Boosters are useless and just being wasted.
This has nothing to do with gaming. You only must wait till King gives you a lucky board. Don't spend money on it. I'ts just gambling.
I so agree on the above comment. Playing on iPad. After all these years, I don't think I have been stuck on one level as much as this one. It stinks that the only way to pass is if you get that lucky board. King sure took away the fun and challenge.

This is the end for me I'm afraid. There are increasing numbers of timed levels and this one is the worst ever. You know eventually you will get the lucky board but where is the fun in playing over and over again until it comes. I've wasted a week on this but no more
I feel the same way. I have lost all patience waiting for the infamous lucky board. In the past few months the timed levels have increased immensely and have totally ruined this game.....
Useless boring tedious impossible discriminatory hateful ridiculous level. Even with 2 free hrs I can't even come close to 10k let alone 35k. Why o why king cannot you not listen to your punters. Timed levels suck

Read thru the comments several times and found a suggestion to let the sprinkle color bomb remain until the end of the game. It worked!! 39,000 points. After days and days on this level I paid the .99 and bought the booster. Worked on the third try (and last color bomb!)

I don't normally mind the timed levels. Yes they are hard, but I could always tell that eventually I would be able to pass it. I've tried so many times on this boring impossible level. Can't even get close. 15000 is a good try for me. Think I'll be stuck on this level for a while.

I'm not good at timed games but this is ridiculous find the one move, wait for the shuffle, find the next move, wait for the next shuttle. Where is any skill in that!
As a pensioner I'm not very quick at timed games but in all the others I have had a "lucy board". With this board I'm not even sure what a lucky board would look like. So far I have not had over 20,000! How I's 35000 ever possible, might take other suggestions and try some of the earlier levels which were fun. This one is boring and ridiculous.
How miserable. This awful level wants you to watch 2 boards at the same time and score impossible hits. Just no fun.
Like a lot of recent timed boards, I think its important not to rush! I think working on producing colour bombs is more valuable than getting a couple of extra moves in.
I worked on one side of the board where possible, and worked on special candies. But you have to keep your eye on the other side if there are some easy +5s. But again, like other timed levels, don't just try to take out all the +5s at once. The timer will never go over 35s. So if you can, leave them till the clock has run down a bit.
Obviously you have to make a bit of space before you can get your colour bombs, but you can do it if you're patient. I had a couple of 30k scores (including 1 score just 50 short!) before I cracked it. Its difficult, but by no means impossible.

Never posted before but so discouraged with this level I have tried everything to no avail now posting for luck if that's doesn't help it's goodbye candy crush. I used to so love this game but the skill has gone and it's becoming a chore
I hit it twice- but the 2nd time I hit it, the game froze and I never received any boosters. Bummer.
It's been a 3 year run, but I'm finished. Most of the past several hundred levels have been a mix of utterly impossible without the random lucky board, or ridiculously easy. The game has lost its balance. The development team is either out of gas, or rigging it to force the hardcore players who've made it this far to buy boosters.
If it comes down to paying real money to play a rigged game that has no end, I'll just go and play with slot machines. At least there one has a chance of recouping the investment.

Video ; 20,000 points in 45 seconds compared with 30,000 points in 27 seconds on mobile. I tried about a dozen times on the iPad and got nowhere. Hate timed levels, hate it when you get penalized for only having an iPad or iPhone to play this game. See the Numerous blogs about how difficult this level is. I guess I will be here for a long time waiting for a very lucky board.

This is one of the worst boards I have ever seen. I'm going to play until it "gives it to me". This game has become a true time waster, imo.

Why do you penalize people using an iPad or iPhone. Don't have a PC . Can't get more than half way .have played for days. No end in sight. Frustrating and unfair. No fun anymore.
This may be the level that makes me stop playing. The closest I've gotten is around 29000 and that was just once. It's usually less than 10,000. I'm not going to pay for extra time as I'm sure I'd have to do it a few times to come up with 6000 more points to win. Timed levels aren't fun to begin with and this level seems impossible to win without extra time added. I'm bored now and only play my 5 games and I'm done for the day.
Passed today...Finally! 10 days and countless lives later. Leave sprinkle candies to explode after time runs out if possible. Took two sprinkles for me to get pass this level.
Avoid detonating sprinkle candies. Took 2 sprinkles left after time expired to pass level. 10 days and many lives lost.

Got this with just 1 color ball, which I did not detonate but left on the board. Just keep after the +5 candies and make special candies wherever you can. It can be done.
Needed 45,000 points within 35 seconds on my PC. Got 92,980 the first try. I don't think I've ever done that on a timed level. These usually take days for me to get through. I guess I got my lucky board early. I went after the +5 candies (of which there were a lot) and left alone the candy ball that appeared late in the game.
2nd attempt iphone..unless there was a glitch and fixed since above comments 273,400..lots of extra timers dropped!
Got the lucky board 2nd attempt, concentrated on right hand side only & was lucky to get colour bomb early on which gave 26000 points but cleared loads of blockers & cascades then produced lots of packets, never touched left hand side. Good luck
Well here it is months later and I passed on second try, no boosters. Was it made easier? It was 35k in 27 seconds I believe although I'm looking for my first move when the banner is there so not sure. I played both sides and there were a lot of extra time candies and was able to make wrap/stripe combo a couple of times with made huge cascades.
I seem to be on a lucky streak. (famous last words!) After taking days to pass 1882 I've won the m=next three levels first go with no boosters. Passed this with over 280k. I usually struggle with times levels but the key to this is to try to make a sprinkle. After the first one more are likely to form in the cascades.
They must have changed this level. Got it on first try. Cannot believe my good luck. Always HATE timed levels. Jane E
Was really worried that there was 299 comments here and that nobody had posted for almost a year. Well, that's because it is now a piece of cake. Got 147+K on first try and no boosters. Had no plays on left side to start. Maybe I was just lucky,
