Hints and tips showing how to pass level 1979 Candy Crush Saga without boosters by Cookie
The jelly is under the cream blockers in the middle of the board.
Remember that you only have to clear the jelly, not the chocolate, although you will naturally clear chocolate as you work on clearing the blockers, once you have space to work your way down to the blockers in the bottom part of the board you can ignore the chocolate and just work on clearing the blockers and jelly.
Some games are a bit tricky to get started if you can't manage to make some stripes or wraps, but once you start to make combos you can use them to clear space to make more.

another lucky level, I guess...not getting anywhere
Concentrate on making vertical stripes and wraps in the middle section of the board, these will clear both the chocolate and the blockers. Quite an easy level to make stripes and wraps, as long as you constantly look careful above and below the tracks.
Fish boosters did the trick!
Mobile version has only 22 moves! Difficult to get the last couple cleared....
Is anyone else having this problem ?? I hit play, it starts to load, then goes blank and goes to the main screen on my iPad mini...but yet I can play the bean stalk games and the go,den path game..haven't been able to play level 1979 all week..which btw, I think is impossible...I've tried on my phone using a fish , a speckle , and closest I got was four jelly left
This level is a joke! Temporarily freezes and then does some strange color,changes. But that isn't the biggest issue I have had. Got all layers of all 5 meringue and it still said I had 1 left (?)...Then just had 2 left, but only the two layers and I hit a chocolate ball and a blue,wrapped. The whole bottom was filled with exploding wraps, but do you think it hit either one of those two remaining layers of the meringue, NO! Not even one layer of either! REALLY King! As usual, not skill that wins these levels! So we are wasting our time playing when lucky boards is the only thing letting us win!
I can't play 1979 on my ipad, it keeps shutting down also.
Diana C....I have a iPad mini 1 and from what I'm reading Apple didn't include it on the latest update. Candy crush also updates a week or so ago and my iPad is no longer compatible ...if your iPad is older, it's probably the same problem ...good reason for me to but a new tablet cause I hate this iPad ...only own it cause I won it lol
Here we go once more. Android users penalized again. Only 22 moves. Wish i could have a lucky board like they always do in the videos. And more moves like in the videos :(

I don't know why, but I get these levels right after I read the comments..I would like to thank you for having it I was doing it right all along except for the fish booster...adding that did the trick!! Thanks
Another no-brainer, this is purely a Lucky Board level, no strategy involved. Will most likely have to wait it out a week or more before that lucky board shows it's face.
Fish Booster did it for me!
Didn't even get one jelly on my fist attempt so was amazed to pass the level with three stars on the second try with four moves remaining. A striped/wrapped on the conveyor above the chocolate did a fair bit of damage then stripes or wraps cleared the chocolate around the five blocked jellies keeping the chocolate away so I could get the jellies with more stripes.
Again, only 22 moves on an iPad. Not fair.
Use the fish! They'll do all the work.
Wrap stripe booster opened game quick and got it out easy after that .. lot of wraps
I had 3 fish boosters. Used them. Now I have none. And still stuck on this boring level.
Bitch of a level. Had to use fish and a hammer to get the last jelly. Hate levels like this.
Yep. Do yourself a favor and just fish booster your way out of this one...assuming the game gives you more than one fish as it did NOT for me the first time. 😑
You guys might think this is BS but I play the tough levels between 1:25 and 1:30 PM and beat them. Try it and see what you get.
Well I guess I have to be patient and wait for the lucky board!!
I am having a hard time with this level. It is a bit trickier than it looks. I will beg CC gods for that lucky board.

Horrible level!! Playing on 3 different devices. Used up all my boosters and stuck for days... ugggh
