Level 1981 is a fairly straightforward jelly level, the problem is there are only 20 moves to unlock all the locked candies and clear the jelly.
Once the board settles you should have a stripe or wrap to begin with, use this to work your way down through the blockers so you have more space to make combos. Matches of 3 won't be enough to clear this level so you need to be looking at the whole board to make specials and combos.
If you want to make this level a bit easier you can use a colour bomb booster or a jelly fish booster.

The mobile version has only 20 moves, not 28, and most of the candies on the left side and bottom are in marmalade compared with the PC version. What I did due to the limited moves was to start with a color bomb and striped/wrapped booster. There are only 4 places for them to begin with and that is in the middle, so the chance the the color bomb is either with the striped or wrapped candy is almost assured. I tried the color bomb/stripe combo but it left a few jellies. The color bomb/wrapped combo did it for me.

I also used a Chocolate sprinkle/stripe/wrap combo and also a fish. Reset til the sprinkle was next to the wrap. Finished with 10 moves left.
I will play on PC instead ,impossible with only 20 moves
Impossible to beat this level on mobile with only 20 moves and lots of marmalade without boosters.....grrr
Differences between the mobile version and the pc seem to be happening with more frequency. The iPad version of this game is completely different with cellophane wrapped candies down the left side and only 20 moves. Why the difference? Winning on iPad with 28 moves would be a more realistic expectation with the 28 moves available to pc users.
I take that back- posting brought me a lucky board, 3 stars no boosters! So it is possible with 20 moves but have to wait for the lucky board
I'll just have to wait for that Lucky board once again . Sure is impossible on iPad. Seems like lucky boards are the only way now. No skill needed at all . Just not enough moves .
The PC version now has only 20 moves and marmalade. I have a phone, tablet and the PC and no stripe/wrapped boosters, which is what it's going to take.
My Windows laptop also has only 20 moves!
I reckon this level is pretty well impossible with just 20 moves. After two days of playing, have only ever managed to clear about half the board.
This is another level 1969. I was on it for about 7 days, the longest I've ever spent on one level. Not enough moves.

This is definitely a play it on your laptop level. Multiple tries on my Android without success passed it first time playing on my PC
And again. Android users penalized again. Only 20 moves. Bloody impossible. Need more moves. No wonder the video gets it. They have 28 moves. Bloody hell this annoys the shit out of me :(

Mobile users got penalised once again
On android. Started with all boosters. Sprinkle was next to wrap, which cleared a lot. Was able to clear most of the board easily. Last 2 jellies were a bit harder, but got them with 3 moves remaining.
PC only has 20 moves
Took a lot of tries, but I got it with no boosters (since I'm out of boosters). Just have to keep working for special combos and hoping for killer cascades, which do happen sometimes.

About time this page started showing videos with the same amount of moves that are actually there. Both PC and Mobile only 20 moves. What's the point of this blog if the tips don't relate to the real level
Made a wrap candy out of the candy that had the most amount and combined it with a bomb. It that took out most of the jelly. Had enough moves left to take out the remaining few. It was still hard to make this combo but with luck, I'm done with this horrible level!
Took 33 minutes had 2 hours free play, kept resetting board after just a few moves, till I got a good one that opened up, oh ya, used speckled ball towards end....read tips here 1st, passed on iPad , 20 moves.....whew!
Using laptop and tablet getting nowhere close, 20 jelly left is my best. This could be a long slog....

Wow straight after posting I passed! Two sprinkles together cleared most of the board...then I won 5 extra moves on the tablet and had a sprinkle land next to a wrap. Now that is what you call luck!

Didn't have much luck on the PC or my phone. Decided to have a go on the kindle and passed 1st time (used a colour bomb/wrap as my 1st move.
This level has now been upgraded to a Hard level ,with 20 moves and not the 28 shown on the video , it's actually a really good level the kind I like ,but I expect I will be kept here for a few days because I don't purchase boosters .

I just don't understand why KING can't make the number of moves you are given...regardless of the device you play on. Only 20 moves on Ipad!
2 wraps together blew up half the board, 2 more almost finished it off, leaving an easy finish

This level is impossible with 20 moves and the right side of the board encased! I have been stuck forever. Grrrrrrr!
Only 20 moves on the PC too. I was stuck here for two days. Many games the first few matches were just three of a kind in places where the next move was the same. One game the board was still shuffling with one move left! Sprinkle/wraps did some damage but never enough. In the final attempt a wrap/wrap combo started it off. Sprinkle followed sprinkle and suddenly the board kept exploding until there were only two jellies to get. 540k and three stars.

I've come to the conclusion that with only 20 moves I will never pass this level. So now I just try to end up with less every time. I've gotten down to 3. When it gets too boring, and after 10 days of trying it does get boring, I just play something else.
Never going to pass this level with only 20 moves. It's ridiculous. Hey Ms Cookie, why don't you show us how clever you are and do it with 20 moves instead of 28?
I can't believe you only get 20 moves on the iPad, is this a punishment for using one? Really not fair to all of us that have come this far in the game. Makes me want to stop playing.
Am I the only one who reads all the comments?? It is 20 moves for everyone now!! Ms. Cookie can't help that they change it and if she changed the video and did it with 20 moves would that help anyone pass? I doubt it.
Started with all 3 boosters on PC so couldn't reset but with such few spaces open the sprinkle and wrap were together... blew up the board pretty good!! From there it was easy to do clean up and the fish got the rest and to my utter amazement I had 10 moves left!! Definitely pays to start with sprinkle stripe/wrap.

Has there ever been a response from the programmers of Candy Crush as to,why there are differing versions, dependent upon what device one plays the game...? If there was a quality reason for it, then many players would understand the reasoning behind it. Level 1981 is just a dumb idea with 20 moves....spinning the daily wheel gets jelly fish, it doesn't allow them to be used in the game.

Played this level on my first try and got down to 2 jellies, didn't use hammers cuz I thought, this isn't so Hard! Now I can't even get close, been playing for days! Grrrrr
Exactly the same thing happened to me, I had only one left ( I started the level having already a colour bomb gift from previous level ).
I knew it was a "super hard level" but I assumed that it was going to be one of those hard titled level that in the end are easiest than some "easy" levels..
So I stuck with one and didn't bother to use any available booster..
And that was it.
All the next tries on this level ever got me fewer than 50 jelly to go.
It seems that King is getting very good at playing dirty after 1900 tier.
And the game is not fun any more .

This didn't look all that hard but boy is it ever. I can't even get close to the finish. I am out of boosters so that is out of the question. Help me CC gods, I am in need of that lucky board.

Used all 3 boosters still wasn't ALLOWED to pass. This is what this game has come down to when the time is right you'll get past. Can you please show a video with the same board as on the mobile version as it's completely different. Why all the unfairness?????

For those struggling. Play level 1476 3 times for 3 spaceships. Go back to level and use sprinkle with wrap. Reset until together if necessary. Should be smooth sailing from there.

Got it the 2nd day, starting with all 3 boosters, 2 moves left. First move I was able to switch a CB with a wrapped in the center! For the 2nd move I only needed to get 23 jellies. Did one stripped wrapped switch. Toward the end got a CB but just used it on a random color. Last jelly I got with a fish.
Killing me....this is a tough one..day 3.

Been stuck on this one almost a week. Bored now. Ridiculously hard to do with only 20 moves. Tried all platforms but still can't get it. Got down to one left, got the spins for extra moves and didn't get the extra moves.

WOW!!! Been playing this for a while & came close a couple of times but no way. I look at the board and try to get the locked ones, just cannot do this one and I do admit I need help, PLEASE!!!
