Candy Crush Saga Level 2279 tips and video

Hints and tips showing how to pass level 2279 Candy Crush Saga without boosters by Cookie
Level 2279 is a timed level, you have to score 20,000 points in 30 seconds to complete the level.
Right from the start look for sideways stripes which you can use to hit the extra time candies and fish, you don't really need the fish but they will often target the extra time candies which can be a help.
Once all the extra time candies are gone more will drop, but not every move, so if you have a stripe, or better still a colourbomb, use it on extra time candies, or to create a cascade which will hopefully bring down more extra time candies.
Keep the licorice under control by making matches next to it, this way you will get more candies and more opportunities to make good matches.
There are only 4 colours on the board so making special candies and combos is fairly easy if you don't panic and take a second or two to check for good moves.

Words cannot describe how much I hate timed levels.

I agree. Timed levels never depend upon skill, just pure luck when you get a 'lucky' board. Ugh!..........................

Finding this one quite frustrating!

Lucia, I agree with you 100%. Either King takes the timed levels altogether or increase the time. I am sure a lot of people stop playing cc due to the evil levels.

Fear not, this timed level is not as bad. With magic helmet on, I was able to pass it first try. Just hold you color bomb as long as possible. PH

I had the second level of the magic helmet and I needed every bit of the help. The sprinkle got trapped in the licorice and Inalsomhad lots of shuffles. Only after time ran out and the last extra time bombs exploded, did I manage to get it. I'm so glad I didn't waste the helmet! I', too old for timed levels! Carol the elder

I keep seeing references to magic helmets. What on earth?

Not too bad - about 5 tries. Started with a sprinkle, another one dropped and at the end when they burst together they gave 20,000

Got it 2nd go. Just start with a sprinkle and hit it with same colour as one of the fish good luck everyone

Don't panic????? I hate timed levels!

I think much of the magic helmet is psychological because it is just starting with a sprinkle and a stripe/wrap. You can do that even if you don't have the helmet.

BUT where do you get the HELMETs fom? Can somebody please help us to answer this question? Thanks in advance to anyone who can answer this for us..

Gee thanks, King....another timed level on Mothers Day, no less!

Posting for luck!

Thank you Lorraine. Sprinkle and fish worked first try. Indy

I don't understand what the helmet is either.

The helmet is a way to win special candies. It just appears like the other bonus ways to win special candies. I have it on iPad and iPhone but not the Mac so if you are using a computer maybe it is not available. I don't know about android.

What game are some of you playing? There is no fish booster! And this one is killing me.

I hate timed levels. These old arthritic hands don't move too fast. Posting for luck.

Please excuse the language, but when there's only 30 seconds, you don't need bloody messages at the top of the playing area from the developers telling you about the "special reward" you'll get if you succeed first try. That took 10% of my playing time straight off and I can't see the top of the board until the message flashes have finished. It's getting dodgier all the time, isn't it? Foul play, King.

What is a magic helmet

Anonymous said...

Magic helmet is an extra help that periodically is available when you pass a level first time. First one gets a colour bomb if you pass a second first time you get a second helmet with colour bomb stripe wrap pass a third on the hop you also get three extra moves in helmet. Fail a level you lose it completely and have to start again. Not always available just one of the specials on some devices but not all. I also find the first try crown banner annoying on timed levels esp if you have a helmet!

Maybe it's just my computer speed, but this level is impossible! If I hit a fish with a booster, the fish takes about 10 seconds to do its thing each time, making it impossible to get anything accomplished. Anyone else having that issue?

Mine is not a timed level, why??? I have to get points in a moves & there are a lot of bombs & fish???

Anonymous said...

Well it’s now 20000 points in 20 moves and still hard. I had the crown (having had three first time winswith all the boosters that gives) plus the one hour sprinkle, and still was nowhere near. They didn’t get all the bombs, and making enough horizontal stripes subsequently just wouldn’t happen - and of course even if l did make one that hit a fish, that fish went nowhere near the almost-exploding bombs.

And yes, l’m sick of the banner messages that tell us nothing we don’t already know.

My level is not a timed one, it has the timed bombs. Wishing mine was a timed level though. Good luck all !

Has anyone noticed colleting sugar drops is harder because they changed some of the levels and reduced moves

It's 2019 I've never seen a magic helmet?
Can't buy them and can't earn them
Just like the teeth they show don't know what they are used for?
