Hints and tips showing how to pass level 2290 Candy Crush Saga without boosters by Cookie
Level 2290 has been made easier by increased time and decreased points, but is still not easy.
While this is not impossible to do it is extremely hard for anyone who doesn't love timed levels.
It is imperative that you get down into the bottom half of the board as quickly as possible using stripes or stripe/wrap combos. It isn't hard to make the special candies, but racing against the clock means it is very easy to miss the best moves.

Colourbombs won't do much good to begin with so starting with a colourbomb booster is likely to be a waste of the booster.
Once you get down into the bottom of the board try to make moves there as much as possible while at the same time collecting extra time candies as often as you can. Extra time candies will drop from the top when you create cascades and these are best made using colourbombs and stripe/wrap combos.
You really need to get those fingers moving and forget about thinking about your moves, there just isn't time.
Using a colourbomb on the countdown bombs will give you the best scores, but keep your eye on the timer and you may have to use a colourbomb to collect extra time instead.
Don't switch a colourbomb with a stripe or wrap because it gives very low points and takes up a lot of time. The only time a colourbomb/stripe may be useful is at the beginning of the game to break through into the bottom.

Yes, some things never change. I still hate timed levels. My arthritic hands still don't work like they used to. No matter what I do I don't even come close to the desired score needed. And as usual I have to post for the lucky board. Yes, some things never change.
There is no way that the video is in real time!!! Watch it again. Moves and cascades happen extremely fast. Is there a "slow down" booster still available? I know there was a while ago (1/2 second passes every 2 seconds or so) Speed up the video and VOILA! I'm a CC master!
...also, this level sucks.
I'm too old and have a crappy mouse, so what chance do I have with this awful level? I simply have to rely on an extremely luck board, and thus far I haven't come close.

I just played it and passed on my first try with 3 Stars.
This is NOT a timed level now.
On this date, level 2290 is not a timed level and I enjoyed it! I started with a free sprinkle, held onto it and worked my way through the blockers until I could access the timed bomb dispenser. Then I matched the sprinkle with the color for the most bombs. Big points quick! It was easy to make several more sprinkles that I matched with bomb colors. I ended up with 3 stars on the first run through. Good luck, fellow crushers!
No longer a timed level on PC
It's now 2019 and my game is not the same as in the video for 2290. It is not a timed game so this video is no help at all.
I started with a color bomb and a free color bomb and the other 2 boosters that cc allows. Break blockers in just 2 rows that have bombs you do not need all columns. And after you get the points the game ends I did not have to use all moves
