Hints and tips showing how to pass level 2808 Candy Crush Saga without boosters by Cookie
Level 2808 is a tricky level made worse by the chameleon candies which can make it hard to plan your moves.
You need to work your way down the columns to get candies in the bottom part of the board and at the same time look for combos to unlock the four locked licorice.
You are likely to lose quite a few lives on level 2808 if you are trying to complete it without boosters.
You'll need to think very carefully about your moves if you get any choice, but it's a matter of luck whether you get a good start or not.
Once you get candies into the bottom part of the board your job will get a lot easier as you can begin to get cascades by making moves in the bottom part of the board.
Look for colourbomb patterns whenever possible, you will get them if you are careful. If you see a colourbomb pattern and then the chameleon candies change, try to make a move elsewhere on the board and wait for them to change back.

I'm surprised this isn't listed as a hard level. The moves are so restricted that there isn't really any strategy here except to wait for a lucky board. I've been playing for almost 2 hours and I can't get anywhere close to beating this.
I finally beat this board. I had to start the level with all the boosters you can use on it and still use 3 hammers and 2 hand switches. This level is awful. It should definitely be a hard level.
Additionally there are 4 blockers at the bottom of the playing field.
This is such a difficult level where i used up all my boosters, including combining 2 colourbombs together. Still did not managed to clear :(
I was able to beat it only because I used full loaded spaceship (2xcb & 2xstripe/wrapped) and all of 3 start up boosters. So I didn’t really “beat” it. But I am so glad it’s over. My deepest respect to Ms.Cookie and all of you who have beaten this level without any boosters!

I got the lucky board. Within 3 moves ended up with 2 sprinkles next to one another and that helped to open up entire board and the rest was easy. Good luck because I was stuck on it awhile prior to that.
Lucky board...sprinkle combined with stripe twice! No boosters.

Boring as ever!
Having cleared all stages before this without using boosters, extra moves, or sd/helmet, I would say this stage ain't that bad.
Took a few tries, but no boosters. Got my lucky turn with a stripe/wrap appearing to clear the top blockers and then a colourbomb/stripe to get the others. Onward....

I managed to clear this level on 2nd try BUT... I was lucky to have 2 CB's together which cleared most of board and then had 18 moves to get 2 jellys and it took me all of the 18 to get them! Good luck people obviously I got lucky

Thank you all for posting. I started with every booster that I had, and using the extra color bomb, passed on the first try.

I had a full spaceship and also got another sprinkle from watching an advert. The sprinkles were adjacent at the start so switching them really opened up the board. Cascades then took over as well as getting another sprinkle. I finished first go with 45 moves to spare. Very lucky!

Went slow and looked at every move combined a CB with stripes 3 times, and got lucky

And on top of that, how are you supposed to win if the specials don’t do what they’re supposed to? Stripes not crushing the blocker, stripes forming in the wrong place or wrong direction to that expected, that kind of thing. I say it on nearly every comment page - it’s rigged. Oh and yes l agree - this should be labelled hard, and it’s boring.
