Hints and tips showing how to pass level 2831 Candy Crush Saga without boosters by Cookie
Level 2831 is a dual task level, you have to collect all the cherries and clear the jelly.
Mostly this level is pretty straightforward, but there is one jelly that can be a real problem to clear. This is the jelly at the top, under the licorice dispenser. This square has double jelly so needs to be hit twice, but there is no candy in it, only licorice, so it needs to be hit with a combo to clear the jelly. The problem is that the licorice will keep dropping into the square each time you try to clear it.
The only thing you can do is to keep blasting away at it until eventually you will get lucky. If you can hit it with a combo in the same move as clearing licorice it will work, as long as your combo isn't blocked by more licorice.
Apart from that it is a matter of luck. A colourbomb/wrap or colourbomb/stripe will probably do the job if you can make them.

I've been playing this level for a while without luck. Trying to get through without boosters. In addition to the space under the licorice dispenser I find the hardest area to clear is the column farthest to the right. Sometimes the cherries will clear without difficulty but clearing the jelly is a problem.

Cookie admits that luck is required! I've marked my calendar. And used a hammer on the jelly, of course.

It has been fun, so far. I used a fish booster with the space dash and used a hammer on the pesky top jelly before the licorice filled it. I'm also glad to see Lucia back!
Luck takes the fun right out of this game. Give us a board that requires skill and makes us think about the next move. Waiting for a lucky board is boring!!!
I keep winning these 5 extra moves, but I can't figure out how to collect them. Anyone know?

I had one jelly left and hit it 4 times after buying extra moves. Ran out of gold. Now I have to wait for lucky board.
Cleared the licorice at top but even with combination - as soon as I swipe a licorice falls and combination hits the licorice and noting works

What a frustrating level with the licorice blocking what you need to hit. Candy Crush is stingy on giving me hammers too! Tired of waiting for a “lucky board” too!

Even with 3 hours of unlimited play time I could not pass this tedious level!! So bored!! Tired of space dash boosters. Is it a coincidence piggy bank filled with gold bricks for the extra moves is for sale when playing impossible levels??!!! Need more moves to pass??!!! I guess it's wait for lucky board, or quit

Need a fish. It's relatively easy to clear all but that last jelly. Use the fish to go after it.
Just got through after many attempts. I think there is a strategy other than lucky board to get the jelly under the licorice spawned. Go for it early while there are still blockers in the middle of the board. Work on getting two vertical stripes in line with the jelly but beneath the blockers. Detonate them in the same move (either a wrap near both or a horizontal stripe that hits the lower vertical stripe which in turn detonates the upper vertical stripe. Once that single jelly is out of the way, clearing the rest of the board and getting the cherries is easy.

I was stuck on this level for days because no matter what I hit that top jelly with, a licorice would drop in just before the combo hit it. Just passed the level by using a fish. Several fish appeared and they got rid of that jelly.
Only way is hammers or lucky board. King wants to sell you hammers. Don't get sucked in and buy. You will get it eventually
