Hints and tips showing how to pass level 2870 Candy Crush Saga without boosters by Cookie
Level 2870 is classified as a hard level so you can expect to lose a few lives before you manage to pass it.

All you have to do to complete level 2870 is to collect three ingredients which drop down the diagonal column on the right in 18 moves.
You can't match the candies under the ingredients so you have to clear them using combos and colourbombs. First clear the blockers to give you space to work, then look for the combos you need to get the ingredients down, don't waste moves making combos at the bottom of the board unless you know they will do some good. You need the combos to be high enough to be able to clear as many candies in the exit columns as you can. Colourbombs are best, especially if you can switch with a wrap, as long as there is at least one candy under the ingredients of the wrap colour.
This should be quite an easy level but I found it tricky, especially since the game is cheating more and more. I found that stripes were made the wrong way and combos did not hit the candies they should have.
A coconut wheel booster should help a lot with this level.

As expected,I lost all my boosters after upgrading my mobile, so, I decided to chalenge myself and not use any of my few new boosters.
Managed to do that quite easily, so I guess this was an easy episode.
Passed all levels on first try only with the help of the Space Dash except 2860 (second) and 2870 (third).

My lost boosters were:
Hammers - 176
Hands - 176
CB - 299
Strip/Wrap - 255

Wheels - 457

The only booster that moved with me was my 211 Gold Bars.
I don't really care, as I collected them while progressing and I never paid a cent.
colorbomb + wrap combos, first at the beginning to get the 1st two ingredients, then as my last move (used a switch to create the last wrap to fall beside the colorbomb) to collect the last ingredient.
Overall I found this episode a bit more fun. Didn’t expect the one timed level but I had a full space dash on the board and it helped clear a lot of the board including timed candies so I was able to pass it the first time. Definitely needed the space dash and several times I used hammers and/or switches to pass a level on the first try. If at all possible I found a color bomb combo to start with really helped me complete this episode. Until next Wednesday! 😀
Not a bad episode but I wish they could come up with something new that is fun and not annoying. So tired of licorice, bombs and evil spawners. Got 12 gold crowns and six of those were the hard levels. Also ranked up to 30 this time and only got a "brown" frame. Was expecting something sparkly.
Sorry you lost your boosters Gil but at least you were expecting it. I have three Android devices and although the gold bars are the same ones on each device the boosters are different. Good luck til next Wednesday.

Yes Sharon you are right in terms of difficulty not a bad episode. No one really difficult level...but rather a ho hum nothing special episode..need something new and yes the boosters are device specific whereas the gold bars are transferred from device to device..not sure why...you would think since your level progress is synced through Facebook so should your boostets..oh well until next Wednesday..hey Rick where are you
Carlton or Rick: As you might remember I have two Samsung Galaxy S tablets and a Samsung Note 4. Up until about two months ago they were all synced through Facebook. All of a sudden one tablet says I don't have access to the Kingdom when I try to connect with Facebook. Instead of my friends showing up I have 38 CC Players from all over the world. I have contacted King and Facebook but can't get any answers from them. I still have the same number of gold bars across all three devices. Just can't figure it out.

The game is not cheating, the stripes have fixed route, you can count the direction of each strip.
I count the strips when I need certain direction.
The fixed route starts from the top left and goes line by line to the bottom right.
The first strip will be horizontal, the second vertical, the third horizontal and so on.
The strip that you switch with the CB disappear so you should ignore it in your counting.
I hope it can be kind of a help in the future for you Cookie and for all my colleagues here.

I am wondering what this board looks like for some people as I cannot get through this level....I have no boosters left and can't seem to get the stripes and wraps to line up....there just aren't enough moves available....any additional hints out there that I should be looking for?

absolutely impossible level lost all boosters can only get 2 down I need at least 6-8 hammers to pass this level need a very lucky lucky board been on here for ages!

Difficult level. Coconut wheel or better still a coconut wheel/chocolate sprinkle one on top of the other in the far left side of the board.

Having a hard time with this level,
I had helmet and added all boosters (the equivalent of space dash). I reset a lot trying to get the wheel with the sprinkle as suggested above. Finally had a wheel high enough to do some good in one space horizontally and the two sprinkles together below. I set the wheel off first and then the two sprinkles. Both fruits dropped leaving the last one to,get down. Then it was tough going. A horizontal stripe did not break through a licorice to get even one candy in the path and most of the stripes made were vertical, so of no use. Gil, you are so smart to figure that out! At the end I got impatient and just hammered the last three candies to get the fruit out. Helen and Sharon, the cone shapes booster was called a piñata when it suddenly appeared earlier. I commented on it then when it blasted everything. I still have one left, but I don't know why or how I got it. Sharon, I also have wanted to ask about the significance of the frame. I have a pink striped one and have gotten to 14 beside it. See y'all next week.......that's southern talk here in Georgia, USA.
Carol the elder and Helen: Finally got brave and pressed on that new booster. Was worried that I would lose it but instead got the message that this booster is currently "locked"!

Sharon, i just went to play for sugar drops and when I opened CC a window popped up saying, "A new booster is comimg, a piñata, coming In Three days". I guess we'll find out more about it then. Maybe when I got it a few days ago, it was the beta version. I haven't tried to use the one that shows in my boosters while playing a level.

How come in Canada we don’t have a new round till Wednesday? I’m done 2870 and I have to wait 4 days for the new levels.
Then they should wait until there is. And I think their post was very respectful.
I passed the episode 4 days before and next episode still locked. Any tip? How much days?

Finally made it ! Played it on phone got free spin with 5 extra moves. Than paid 7 gold bars on the paid spin and got 5 extra moves again.
Ridiculous level!
Jackqueline and Ladilove, if you play on cell phone or iPad as I do, the next episode/levels arrive every Wednesday so it will arrive then. It has been like this for more than a year. You must have just caught up to us here. Go back to earlier levels and win sugar drops as CC suggests. Then you will have a good supply of boosters.

Gave up playing nice. Played a lower level (666) for candy drops and to get the helmet sprinkle. Added a booster sprinkle and coconut wheel, then reset to get the sprinkles together (a lot of resets - finally used a hand switch when they were one apart.) Got the first 2 ingreds out easy, but needed a hammer to get the last one. Done.
Another dumb level just like 2852. It requires no skill, no thought, just mindless shuffling of candies. I've said it before, but these stupid levels just take away my interest in the game. I've been on this one for 3 days too many. I'm off to more interesting pursuits.

Use a coconut wheel. First time I got 2 coconuts, 2nd attempt I got only one, third attempt I got four and was able to pass.
Thank you, Cookie, for pointing out the game's "cheating"! I noticed a few episodes ago, that stripes especially (but also wraps), weren't always going the way they typically did in the past; and were no longer dependable w/o that ever elusive "lucky board" being in play. I hadn't seen anyone else comment about this, and was second guessing myself. So I'm truly happy to hear I wasn't imagining things. It's obvious nearly every level now, that the only intent of the designers of this game, are to get ppl to spend, Spend, SPEND(!) on boosts to pass to the next level... and loyalty and talent account for nothing (And then the boosts don't even work properly???) I'm trying to hang in until I hit Level 3000, and will then be done w/ this game permanently. I'm so over the crooked, greedy developers, who hae hijacked this game in recent months. The game is no longer what it once was, up to and including the juvenile redesign of logos, like the cakes for example. If I don't comment here again, I just want to say thanks for helping me tremendously to get this far in the game w/ all of your hints and videos. I truly appreciate you making all of these videos. Even at that, they have mostly become obsolete by the time I get to a level, because of the developers toying w/ each level to make them close to impossible w/o boosters or an extremely lucky board. The goal posts have simply been moved too far apart to keep this game enjoyable. The game has undoubtedly lost its fun as a result. Again, thanks for all your help! It must feel like a thankless job at times, going by many of the comments I've read here over time, some of them downright abusive. I don't know why you keep doing it. But congrats that you keep going nonetheless. It's been a tremendous help to me over the years. :)

Took quite a few tries but got there in the end with no boosters, but I needed a hand swap to get two stripes together to clear the last candy blocking the fruits. It can be done folks, just takes patience and making the most of every opportunity. Onward.

MPolo u said it very well it’s so sickening that they’ve trashed this app Could be the most amazing app ever but greed ran it into the ground I realize there’s proby millions that play this app but they will delete just like most after they realize all the cheating done by KING so KING is operating in false numbers most will delete I’ve been on this level a long time they Always PUT in incentives to get to future levels but they put them in after u reach SUPER hard levels thereby insuring u never reach the incentive in time On this levels I’ve used 2 DOUBLE speckled bombs together and still can beat There’s no such thing as lucky boards There’s no luck KING has predetermined number of attempts u have to get before they send u a beatable board NO LUCK just CHEATING I’m hanging in to keep reviewing and warning future possible players not to download this app Telling them about all the cheating so far have stop quite a few So it’s a vendetta for me And BTW u can spin the daily wheel well over 2’000 times and never get on jackpot Unless like I did must have been a glitch but landed on it twice of course before I learned of screenshots had a witness to one and they never gave me my winnings After I told them they said they couldn’t confirm it well they would have to admit it’s rigged not to land on it That’s when I figured out they’re low life dishonest money grubbing immature teenagers running this app

Help this level is beyond frustrating . Wasted so many boosters and extra moves
Made it past, but again it is mainly due to luck and wasting a lot of boosters before I was able to pass. If you have a chance to take anything out to the right, do so right away, because cascades will likely ruin any combos you are hoping for unless you are "very" careful. Eventually, with luck, and in my case "boosters", you will pass.

Posting for luck which if it doesn’t come soon I am finished. The candy that I gave up for Lent was Candy Crush Saga. It ended up being relaxing to not play this game. It is frustrating game because levels are easier for the first players to do them and then are made harder for those of us who play the same levels a few months later. I came back to play CC remembering that there have been fun times with the game. The frustration of this level is reminding me of how unfun this game is most of the time.

I only seem to be able to make special candies at the bottom where it has no effect on bringing down ingredients. If you choose the coconut wheel booster, it gets placed in the unusable space by the ingredients.

I found that the answer to this level is simply colourbombs, ON THEIR OWN! OK, they are not always easily made, but I got lucky. Wiped the most prominent colour in the diagonal each time, and finally got a cb/wrap with two of the wrap colour in the chute. Frustrating, but not impossible...
