Hints and tips showing how to pass level 2890 Candy Crush Saga without boosters by Cookie
Level 2890 is a jelly level with 20 moves.
Work your way to the bottom of the board using wrapped candies and combos, the licorice shouldn't cause too much of a problem as it is fairly easy to clear.
A double colourbomb combo is really useful, but you can pass the level without one.
Keep checking how many jellies you have left to clear as the jelly clears quickly once you get the board open and you start to use combos, the hardest squares to clear are the "sticky out" bits so keep an eye on those and clear them when you get the chance as you may not get another.

I passed this before Cookie's tip. Her video makes it looks so easy, getting a CB combo that enable her to pass it without boosters. But I’m glad to pass it on the 2nd try thanks to the fish. I used a fish booster and when there were only 3 jellies left, I hit the fish which took the last 3 jellies as time expired.
Yeah without double colourbombs it's pretty much impossible to get rid of the licorice, that blocks you from getting the extra time candies (if they haven't been covered by chocolate.
Please help with level 2894!!Are there no more posts from Cookie past level 2891??

In 2894, use a color bomb combo. It will convert the 6 check candies on the left to yellow, so you'll get 6 yellow candies right away. The combo will also clear the board a bit. A check candy booster here will also help. I passed this on the first try by doing that.
To Rick: Thanks, but it's not easy getting the color bomb combo and I'm almost out of boosters. This level is ridiculous! But thanks for the tip. I'll keep trying.
By the way, do you or anyone know what's up with no more of these posts on the latter levels??
I checked this morning and found Cookie's tips and the blog available now up to 2895. The video in 2894 included a check candy booster and a lollipop was used to get the 30th yellow candy to complete the level.

Actu.ally started out with 3 cbs (2 from space dash and an extra one I had) to increase my chances of getting a cb combo. It worked and that gave me a great head start. Then as Rick mentioned, the fish booster also helped a lot (plus a good dose of luck) so I was able to pass it on the first try.

This is ridiculous! Kudos to those who passed it......I can't even get close for 2 reasons, 1) I HATE TIMED LEVELS and 2) There just doesn't seem to be enough time.....I am getting very frustrated...some levels are ridiculous, but at least you can take your time being disappointed...I am not giving this one very much longer, for sure...
After several tries with the space dash, I didn't match the CB's. I tried to use other matches first and used the CB to hit the color of the extra time candies. The fish does help too. Horrible timed level. I just had my 84th birthday and I can't handle them!
Ugh two hard levels back to back..talk about frustrating! This game is suppose to be for fun but when they set them up like this, no fun!! At least give us a fun easy one in the middle of hard ones, please!!
Another stupid level , comments are 2 cbs together , absolutely great if you can get them together . With timed levels you can’t restart the board you have to play the board your given . This isn’t fun anymore I needed a level like this to give me a kick up the backside to call it a draw.
Remember, if you match CB's early, they will hit all the extra time candies and you can't get more than the maximum time allowed in the game. I finally won it by using a hammer on one extra time candy when it was close to running out, then used my space dash CB's separately on a color which had extra time.

I have now more than 100 attempts and no chance to pass this bullshit level. Cascades are steeling my time and chocolate are steeling my extra time. But CC don't get money from me. 🤘😀

We've all had levels to get this far that we thought were impossible but then passed. ...... but I think this one really is, what is the point of making it so difficult, no strategy, no fun, I'll give it a couple more days then think I'll get my life back, not going on with something so pointless.

Just will take this opportunity to say again - I HATE TIMED LEVELS - NO FUN JUST GRINDS ON YOUR NERVES!!!!. On the video it looks so easy just get 2 color bombs slam them together and game over - well good luck. I usually don't get one bomb! All this level is doing is using all my lives then I won't be able to play for days until I get more. Also, I didn't mention ALL my boosters are gone. Whoever it is in your company that creates timed levels ---FIRE THEM!!!!!
I agree with HT, these timed jelly levels really make me stressed.I have to really try and keep my cool and go as fast as possible,which isn't easy.Got right down to 1 jelly left and bam the time ran out AGH!!Will keep trying.

The ultimate shit level. This could be the end for me. And indeed as mentioned, do not try to set your boosters by resetting board, because you loose your live and boosters. Hate those crappy timed levels.

Anybody know what is up with the boosters from the sugar candies. I have 725 coconut wheels. That seems to be all I get with the occasional hammer or hand switch. No chocolate balls or striped/wrapped. Very few fish.
I HATE this level and there is no point in continuing to play. As far as I am concerned they have ruined the game. Just not enjoyable like it used to be.

For me, fish did not help, as every time fishes are hit, they waste much time swimming around. And with this limited board, you can hardly safe a fish till the end

Time levels cannot be resetted (hope this is correct English)... The moment it starts, the level (and a potentially used booster) counts....
I'm near to a heart attack. After 100 or more attempts and getting more and more angry I managed to create this 2 sprinkles next to each other (mentioned by Mrs cookie and Rick) and still had 2 jellies left in the end. Was fed up with this extremely tedious and (negatively) exciting level and bought extra time with gold bars. Additionally, I then could fortunately hit some extra timers in the bottom, so I could destroy the missing 2 jellies without using more boosters. Wonder if anyone could manage this level without any help (space dash was not on when I played and fish booster I found senseless).

Ughh...Sick to death of this level. On the few times that I've actually managed to hit some of the extra time jellies at the bottom, I'm doubting they are adding onto my existing time properly as I got 3 and then the level timed out.Anyone else having this?? Feeling fed up :(

I have tried everything on this level and still haven't even gotten close. Not only are you having to get so many jellies in such a short period of time but on top of that you have to deal with that darn chocolate! I will try getting this level a little while longer (hoping for a good board, some good luck and fast hands) but if I can't accomplish this level soon I will just shut down Candy Crush and play "Words", "Sudoku" &"Bubble Witch". Oh yes yesterday I finally got 2 color bombs together - no good!!!

Finally won! Talk about nerve wracking! I used a CB from the helmet and another from my boosters. They were together from the start, however I made moves first to clear some first then matched them before many extra time candies were covered. It opened most of the board but I kept watch on what jellies remained

I'm sure everyone here will be happy not hear me complain any more about how unfair it is I don't have access to space dash, magic helmets, resetting phones, etc. I got pretty far without the advantages, but this terrible timed level is the end for me. Well,finally got through after what seemed hundreds of stressful tries urgh.Got down to 4 and by luck had increased the time enough by hitting those extra time candies at the bottom to quickly use 4 hammers and zap them!! Boy,my heart was pumping. I hated this timed level.Nearly quit.Onwards crushers-don't give up.

I have been on the level over a week - how long must this go on. I have very few lives & boosters left to work with. I am begging Candy Crush - NO MORE TIMED ONES PLEASE! I am not stupid or I wouldn't be able to be on level 2890, I just can't handle the timed levels.

Anonymous from 07.11 earlier here. When I listed all the obstacles earlier and sarcastically said 'why not throw in a few bombs etc' I forgot to mention, 'they could always reduce the time to 30 seconds'.....they just reduced the time to 30 seconds!!!!
No one has beaten this level at 30 seconds...there is no video evidence. Why would you give us a level that is almost impossible to complete in one minute, and then take away 30 seconds? It is sad that I won't be able to play candy crush during the Thanksgiving holiday weekend. You can't reach the extra time candies before they are covered in chocolate. I did it once and got one of them. That didn't help. You claim that all of your games can be beaten without boosters. Well, this level proves that is a false claim. Can you provide video evidence that 2890 has been beaten in 30 seconds without boosters? I couldn't find any. Do you all get the feeling that king gets off on upsetting it's most loyal and experienced players? Apparently, they don't need us.
Actually, I noticed the reduction from one minute to thirty seconds when I played on a different Android device (LG G5 had the one-minute version, the Doogee Y6 Max had the thirty-second version). However, the thirty-second version has one fewer colour (no reds), and after being frustrated with the one-minute version I got the thirty-second version on the second try, with plenty of time to spare, no boosters used.
WTF! I could not get close with 60 seconds and tonight it is only 30 --- give us a break King (not you Ms Cookie you are a life saver) If you have contacts tell them to get real Sx

After posting above complaining about the decrease in time to 30 seconds, I also got it on the second try, BUT I had to buy extra time with saved gold bars and use two candy hammers. But a small price to pay to adios this level!
Seriously! 30 seconds! Even if you manage to get a vertical stripe the blockers stop it from reaching the extra time candies. This game is no longer fun.

Posting for luck. I have played this level 20-30 times a day since it came out (I was in the waiting room) using every combo of boosters and magic helmets etc. Was only reasonably close one time and spent the gold bars for extra time and tried to hammer the jelly. Out of time with 1 left and not enough gold to get more time. This change to 30 seconds is mind boggling. There has to be a secret we are missing. I agree fish are no use. If anybody figures it out, please post. I’m sure I’ll be back here again.

This long list of complaints says it all!! I hate this!! Combine color bombs? because it's so easy to get them? Used all my boosters! Tired of collecting with space dash! One hour of unlimited play time and I can't come close! It always seems to be needing extra moves!! Purchase gold bricks for the extra moves!! Always comes down to lucky board or buying more boosters!!

NO LONGER A TIMED LEVEL!!!! spent 15 minutes reading all the suggestions, and then discovered it is now just a jelly level.
Alas for me, it's still a timed level. Closest so far has been four away. I refuse to despair! Heeheehee...

Ok,this is how I put this level behind me:. I had Mort's Magic Helmet, so I added one of my few remaining sparkles at the start of the game, hoping for that sparkle/sparkle combo.
Eureka.
Goodbye, licorice. Good riddance. The board opened up nicely with mad combos everywhere, especially wrap/wrap blasts. Somehow I managed to keep an eye on where the remaining jellies were, and how many were left . The cascades soon ebbed, and with fifteen seconds left, only three wretched jellies remained, but with no matches in sight.
With four hammers in my stash, I turned into a jelly mashing Berserker. Splat, splat, splat! And that was that.
I was soooo happy to see that checkmark appear. Sugar Crush!

why my 2890 is different?? i have to clear 53 jelly blocks in 35 moves but the board doesnt looks like on the video

No longer timed obviously. CBs a plenty, they rained down, never saw anything happen so fast. Maybe I just got lucky? First try, no boosters
This level is no longer timed and passed first try with 3 stars and did not use any boosters at all, and just like Anne above didn’t take long at all good luck everyone and ty King, 😊👍
