Hints and tips showing how to pass level 2889 Candy Crush Saga without boosters by Cookie
This level is all about licorice, you need to collect 30 in 27 moves to complete the level.
First you need to wait for the spawner to begin spawning the licorice, this will drop into the right side of the board until it is full, then fill up the bottom.
The best way to collect the licorice is with a double colourbomb combo, for this you only need to make one colourbomb as the second will be provided by the popcorn on the right.
Use sideways stripes and stripe/wrap combos to grow the popcorn and it will either drop onto the conveyor, or stop in the row above it. Either way you can use the conveyor to get your 2 colourbombs together, the only thing to avoid is getting them both on the conveyor at the same time, you need one of them to stay where it is and bring the other to it.
When the board is full of licorice there are 29 pieces, so providing you have collected at least one this combo should collect the rest.

I passed this on my first try before Cookie's tip. Her tip is to create a CB combo, easier said that done. Try to grow the popcorn on the right as soon as possible because it is blocking the entrance to the bottom half for the licorice to fall. If you are 8 licorice short, you can pop the mixer if is surrounded by licorice to get the 8 when the mixer explodes. You can afford to hit the mixer several times but don’t knock it out because it is the only source of the licorice you need for the order.
The bastards took away the levels I play for the candy drop game! Can anyone make any other suggestions. I used to play 1488,1476,1168,982,945,932,906,866,666,654, sometimes 716 and 540 and 756
To anonymous, above, re candy drops game. I have just played all the games you mentioned. They are still there for collecting drops. Aso try 276,281,,581,832(with a cocnut wheel) and 1137. Good luck! suzie

To anonymous above who is finding his favorite sugar drop games unavailable, this has happened to me from time to time. The easy solution is to play any sugar drop game you can find that’s available to you, even one you hate. Once you have completed that one, all of your favorites will be back for you to precede as you normally do. I promise. :)

The levels are still there but the c is gone meaning no candy drops. It happens to me a lot. They come back. Don’t have a cow. I’m hating this level. Can’t seem to pass it even with boosters. Posting for luck.

This level,was a real nightmare! I don't know whether the space dash helped any because everything I tried to set up blew up at the wrong time. It took me at least five tries and many boosters. I tried to hit the popcorn but had to use the hammer to open it at the same time hoarding a sprinkle on the conveyor. Finally got them together, but still had to get a few more licorice. One of the worst levels ever!

.... And another thank you from me... Needed one switch hand, but then I had the 2 sprinkles (one by the popcorn) which finally solved this level.
Double color bomb easier said than done is right. Back to 606 to collect magic helmets...

I'm sure I've played this level at least 100 times and never even came close. Was granted free time last night and played this level until I couldn't look at it any more. I am able to clear the popcorn much of the time but rarely get two sprinkle balls in a game, let alone together. As far as I can see, this is the only way to clear this level.
I do not have any hammers or hand switches at the moment. I don't have access to space dash and I don't have access to magic helmets. Bummer. Not sure why some people get them and others don't. CC granted me two piñatas that I used on earlier levels. Wishing I had one now. I'll be on this level for weeks if I don't quit first.

I found this level very difficult, just as I was about to use the color bombs I lose them. So I finally broke down and use my last piñata
Does anyone know how or when we get more piñatas, Without buying them?
I am anonymous four comments above. So, I finally got two sprinkles together by using my one and only hammer. Counted the number of licorice on the board and the number matched exactly to what I needed to finish the level. But after making the move I still had four licorice on the board. Not sure how that happened. Naturally, not only do I not have magic helmet or space dash, but on my computer I do not have access to pinatas. I guess I'm going to have to avoid this level for a month or two and build up some boosters. I feel like giving up completely.
I can never get 2 color bombs together. They either get blown up or I'm forced to use them to make a move.
It sure seemed like a couple times that the color bombs blow up for no reason. No strips went off and no wrapped was near.

Tried about 10 times, not getting anywhere near...then came here and saw Cookies 2 colour bomb tip. Unable to make one in the previous attempts I thought it was pie in the sky tbh. Next couple of goes were rubbish but I did manage to grow the popcorn at least. And then it happened, just like she said and about 5 moves to spare! It pays to keep the faith! Having said that I am REALLY struggling with the next level!

I start way near the beginning and go through in this order: 36, 42, 60, 66, 112, 186, 268, 281, 286, 344, 415, 436, 511, 654, 666. It doesn’t usually take all of them to complete the candy drop so I’ll skip the ones that don’t eat much if possible. Elektra
Don't mind a challenge but to keep the clock running when you are trying to hammer the last couple of jelly, that's going too far.

Can anyone help. For over a month I have been unable to collect gifts from the daily calendar. It's stuck on Day 1 but doesn't even give me the items for that day. I have reported it but nothing has been resolved so far. So annoying missing out on these freebies. Many thanks.

Lucia-go to level 2000 to collect the magic helmet. It's a really easy level and you don't have to go back so far.

I passed on my 7th try, but, I did use xtra moves to pass, no boosters, but used most of my gold bars up doing this,
