Hints and tips showing how to pass level 2983 Candy Crush Saga without boosters by Cookie
The aim of level 2983 is to collect the four cherries, not clear blockers, so you can ignore the blockers down the middle of the board. In fact clearing them all can be a disadvantage as the cherries can easily slip down into the bottom part of the board where you don't want them to go if the blockers are not there to stop them.
You only have 16 moves so make every one count.
The best way to clear this level is to concentrate on clearing the cakes, it doesn't matter which one you clear first as the blast from the second cake will clear the board and collect the cherries.
The candies drop through the portals in the bottom left and move up to the top right when you make moves there so you can set up moves by watching where the candies go.
Stripe/wrap combos and colourbomb/stripe combos will do the job of clearing the cakes, but wraps will not help much unless switched with a stripe.

Thanks cookie combos are the way to go.
It is important to clear the bottom cake first.
It cost me the first try as the cherries lost their position after I cleared the top cake on my first try.
Good tip, Gil. I was able to clear the bottom cake first thanks to space dash in a good position. I finished first try with 11 moves left.

Clearing the bottom cake first may be great advice, but it only helps IF you are able to clear the cake. I haven't cleared any cake yet. Grrrr

This level was brutal! Finally got it after 2 days by loading up on space dash boosters plus a bonus stripe/wrap so started board with 3 stripe wrap combos plus sprinkle and 3 extra moves (17). Reset till boosters didn't all go off at once and got 2 stripe/wraps first two moves to clear bottom cake with 1 piece left on top. Took that out with a hammer and concentrated the rest of moves on the objective. Finished with 3 moves left. A final created stripe wrap with the last cherry positioned over portal took the last 2 cherries. Whew!!! Huge relief to move on. Good luck everyone.

I found this level hard.
Most times any special candies exploded before I could combine them.
Got through with a coconut wheel booster, it was a great help in clearing the cakes, which is what you need to do. Took several rounds with a booster though.
14 moves. Completely ridiculous. Not even listed as hard.

I don't understand the advice to clear the bottom cake first. I've done so several times, but no cherries ever appear. I assume you have to clear the top cake because the dispensers are there, so wouldn't that be first? I've never cleared it.
Need help/luck please
Today is Monday and I’ve been trying to pass this level all weekend, the bottom cake seems easier to remove then top, I’ve used boosters without any luck even tried a coconut wheel to help clear my way, struggling and reading Cookie advice plus all you candy crushers if you pass please post how you did it, good luck everyone

Finally passed this level at the end I made 2 color bombs
So used a switch hand to put them together also I needed to use a hammer for the bottom right cake after that cherries were collected and passed could of kept trying but after being on this all weekend I wanted to move on and I had the boosters so I used them must of played over 75 times good luck everyone 😊👍

What is a space dash booster. Can't believe I got this far and have never heard of it before. Grace
15 moves and classed as normal utter joke! Another lucky board needed especially when wraps and stripes are setting off on their own to stop you making combos another scam of a level
