Hints and tips showing how to pass level 2987 Candy Crush Saga without boosters by Cookie
I don't think this level is impossible without boosters, but it needs so much luck that it may as well be! 15 moves just isn't enough to do everything that needs to be done to collect the two ingredients.
The dispenser in the middle of the board is essential as it will give stripes and wraps, often next to each other that can be used to get the ingredients down the left side.
Be very careful when using the combos as the ingredients will only drop down if they are in the right position, so it's worth watching the left side after you have made a move to see how the licorice drops. Sometimes you have to wait a move before ysing the combos and this wastes moves, making it even harder to complete the level.
The first ingredient is not too hard to collect although it may use up most of your moves.
However. the second ingredient will only be able to drop onto the board if there is a space under the dispenser for it to drop into, so the candy or licorice under the dispenser has to be removes either with a move or you can use a hammer if you have one.
Once the second ingredient is on the board you should have a reasonably good chance of collecting it if you have a few moves left.
I found the hardest part was getting the second ingredient onto the board.
You can try using a coconut wheel booster if you are struggling as much as I did, use it to clear blockers under the stripe dispenser to get the combos dropping quicker.

My 2nd ingredient is not appearing from the drop down. Even though bottom candies are cleared. KING please do something. Lost a lot of lives and also my special candies for this. Confirm there is a glitch.
2 CBs together from space dash to clear the licorice and 1 CB under the dispenser to release 2nd fruit was the key for me. Couldn't make horizontal stripe on top row or a stripe with wrap on 2nd row but didn't need a booster to complete.

My second ingredient isn't appearing either.... please King... spruce this one up a bit! Too many lives lost.... and not to mention the lack of moves that we have on this one! Something's gotta give! Posting for luck!
I used a hammer to clear the candy underneath the dispenser to get the second ingredient
And a combo on the right side got it to drop down.
I also used CB combo to start, then got lucky with a vertical stripe to drop the first cherry. I used a hammer to get the second fruit out and was able to get some good matchs to drop it to the last conveyor. I used a swap to match two stripes on the right side and that gave me a mini cascade under th conveyor to drop the second cherry.
Used my space dash helmet and reset until two CBs were together. The key is to also be able to waste one move so the ingredient moves over one spot, then detonate the CBs. This clears the first ingredient and also allows the second ingredient to drop. You then have all your remaining moves to work the second ingredient to the bottom.
Hint to pass it ;I took a choco ball from the helmet and took one of my choco ball plus a wheel. Then waited until my 2 choco were next to each other and also made sure that I could make one move before mixing my 2 choco balls together. Then fortunately I had a wheel at the right place an I took it to make the second ingredient come down(you actually have to make a move on the top for it to come down) after that it was quite easy. Good luck and I'm writing again that cc should be ashamed that all of the levels need boosters now, absolutely not not fun anymore.....

I used the CB from Magic Dash along with another CB from my boosters waiting until they were next to each other. The first ingredient came down quickly but the 2nd one never appeared.
Will someone please post the news when the bug has been fixed.
It's not really a glitch, but quite unfair with so few moves. you must destroy the candy directly under the dispenser, this is the only way the 2nd ingredient drops. Either with a hammer or vertical stripe (quite unlikely in the first row) or a stripe/wrap combo or - if you had a wheel and its well placed - with a wheel. Hope that the daily spin/present gives you what you need!

And still (see comments at 2975) there are crushers claiming the episode to be "not bad" and that they did (except 2785) all levels with the first try. Sometimes I think, it's due to comments like this why CC creates so brutal, unfair and almost impossible levels.
And yes, all you "just" need here is a space dash, 2nd CB and a hammer/wheel for the 2nd ingredient.
CC - please don't spoil all addicted and happy crushers this game just because there are some single persons claiming "almost all first try, 3 stars".
This may finally do me in King. Ok.... You have made collecting the 60 gold bars seem affordable at $3.99. Well this episode is costing me $3.99 per game....and I'm pissed with the trickery. This is the second game in this episode where you think you've gotten close enough to use your boosters only to find out there is a hidden ingredient. So sometimes it costs more than $3.99 per game if it takes 2-3 tries to pass because of the impossible number of moves given. I'm not purchasing ANY MORE gold bars. It takes 29 gold bars to purchase 3 lollipops. I don't want to pay to play your stupid game anymore. So Solitaire here I come.
Thanks to the folks who suggested using a hammer under the dispenser to get the 2nd ingredient to appear. It worked! I would never have thought of it.
Here again to say: all levels in this episode until this one (except 2976) have more moves in Android than in IOS. No explanation.
With so few steps, even the brick below are difficult to destroy. Been playing this level alone for the past 3 days. Please do something.
Anyone that pays King for boost is only reinforcing the greed that King is exhibiting with levels such as 2987. I for one have never purchased a single boost and I never will. I will quit the stupid game before I ever pay King a single fucking penny!
I'm sick of only passing if you pay or have luck... I've finally had it! I'm uninstalling this game.
Tell king ceo play level 2987 if he does not pass it first time , he shpuld fire all stupid engineer .

Coconut wheel helps a bit but sometimes you only get one, also need a lollipop to release second cherry. Another ridiculous level.
The only way you can win this level is if the combinations are perfect when they drop down, which is almost impossible....especially with the number of moves afforded....there is obviously no strategy here, all luck....you look right, you look left, you hope for the 2nd cherry to drop...another ridiculous level...maybe I'll get lucky or maybe I get to try over and over again for what seems like forever...my guess is the latter....

Seems the only way to pass is LUCKY BOARD!! And hammers!! And extra moves of course!!I can't get 2nd fruit to drop!! I used several/all my coconut wheels!!

It's December 2018 and this level is now only 12 moves. I was lucky to get wraps and stripes on the right to open the dispenser in the middle. Without this you are stuffed. I got the first cherry out using stripe/wrap combos over 5 moves. A colourbomb on the right cleared an orange to allow the second cherry to drop. I had an orange vertical stripe ready in the left column at the bottom and as the second cherry moved to the top of the vertical drop I used a hand swap to move that stripe under the cherry. Then (luckily) in the right I had a colour bomb next to an orange. Swap and voila done with 3 moves to go. Keep at it folks, I like many of you have not yet spent any money on this game.

This is one of the most boring levels yet, there seems to be no way to beat it.

If you haven’t got the first cherry into the second box down within the first two moves you might as well quit because once it starts moving up the left hand side of the first one you simply won’t have enough moves. Also, although the self-exploding candies often get the first ingredient down without you doing anything much, they also often scupper any strategy you have (and you’ll notice they never do that when you get the second ingredient - a very rare occurrence anyway). All in all a frustrating and tedious level - and as I’ve said so many times before, it’s not a “game” when it relies on luck and algorithms,

This level is now deemed impossible. There is no dispenser in the middle of the board and I can’t get the second ingredient to drop 😬 I am out of boosters. I need some major luck. Oh and only 12 moves
