Hints and tips showing how to pass level 3089 Candy Crush Saga without boosters by Cookie
The fishing floats are the key to passing level 3089 Candy Crush Saga, you will not be able to clear all the jelly without them.
Look for ways to make special candies and combos from the start, you should be able to clear the chocolate fairly easily to make room to work, then look for ways to make stripe/wrap combos close to the floats. Stripe/wrap combos will give you lots of fish which will target the jelly. The more jelly you can clear in the right side of the board the more likely the fish are to clear the hard to get jellies in the left.
Ignore the spawner top left, it will drop licorice onto the board every third move, but it shouldn't be too much of a problem as long as you keep hitting those fishing floats.

Added all three boosters to space dash/valentine and matched two color bombs to start. Lots of fish set loose and finished on first try. I’m glad I have lots of boosters for these levels!

Gone are the days of real tips; now it's "I used space dash with double color bombs plus stripe/wrap plus fish boosters, passed it blah blah blah"
I smashed 2 CBs together at the start which cleared the left half. A few easily formed stripes cleared the bottom row with cascades clearing a few in the middle and I was left with just a few jellies on the right near the floats. I was lucky in that I was able to make a stripe in the right column and just needed a few strategic moves to be able to set it off. In the end I didn't even set of any floats, so it doesn't appear you need to hit the floats to pass.
To anonymous 8 Feb 03:03, my goal is to clear the levels as quickly as possible to keep moving forward and upwards, with or without boosters and love the advice I get from this site even if it means using my free boosters. If your goal is to just pass the levels without any boosters then perhaps you shouldn't even be coming to this site for "real tips", or alternatively, don't read the comments.

Well, to all of you, Cookie needs to change two letters in the name of this site from "blog" to "brag". Honestly, we all managed to get to this level, and I am sick of reading all this "I passed all levels on first go" stuff. Big bloody deal. Just get on with it please. If you have a decent tip, post, otherwise shut the hell up.
I agree, it's so annoying to read about those who pass first time, when you have tried hundreds of times and not got through. Well said!
The only reason they get through first go is because they go back, play previous levels, earn the space dash or whatever new bonus is available, and smash their way through. Big deal. No skill. Nothing to brag about at all, so keep it to yourselves.

Yep. Totally agree. It's tiresome to read those sort of "tips". They don't help anyone.
Stupid fish keep going for the spawner. I had 4 jellies and each time I made a stripe and hit a float, the fish went to the spawner. How broken is this game?

This is impossible without luck and so boring!
I just added 1 fish booster + 1 sprinkle ball from the helmet. First try with 11 moves left! Very easy, although the fishes from the fishing floats kept hitting the spawner mostly.
This blog is to “pass without boosters”... so I can understand the comments made here about all the boosters being used. I don’t usually have any to spare, so I appreciate the strategy hints without boosters. Tha5 being said, if I have some to spare, it’s good to know how to best put them to use when days have gone by without getting close!

Near the end, you must MUST RELEASE MULTIPLE FISH AT THE SAME TIME. A single fish always goes for the spawner.
Please send me a lucky board - I'll get a bunch of fish and one always hits the spawner - I think once it was twice.

I appreciate the tips from Cookie, at least she gives a strategy. All you get from people like Sharon is "I used boosters, completed first try, 5000 moves left". They never comment when it isn't a first try or haven't used boosters.

stupid bloody fish, either go for spawner or take out useful jellies that would have made wraps or stripes........boring.......fixed ???
A majorly boring level indeed. Eventually I got a wrap/stripe combo tucked in just underneath the floats fairly early in the game. When I set that off it generated enough fish to do most of the work, using most of the high number of remaining moves I had to pick off the rest.
I also get frustrated by the huge number of "I passed first time with blah blah blah". Why do these people come onto a tips site if they've passed a level easily anyway? I don't even know what most of these bonuses are, the helmet, space dash etc. It seems like you have to go back and play old levels a lot to fully utilise them? No thanks! Been there, done that..
This level is terrible.... don’t have many boosters and not sure how players save so many boosters if they are using them to “pass” on the first try!
I dont agree. These levels are difficult to pass most of the time, even with space dash. The number of moves have been reduced on very difficult levels. The game has been changed, as creators are expecting players to use boosters. kudos to you if you can play without boosters. I dont have the patience. Besides, I love the fireworks.
They help those of us who have EARNED boosters. I am tired of the constantly complaining.
And I just passed with 37 moves remaining. Gotta love those boosters!
