Hints and tips showing how to pass level 3657 Candy Crush Saga without boosters by Cookie
Level 3657 is a jelly level and is quite a hard one. You need a bit of luck as there are mystery candies which you need to get good things from and not blockers as they can block up the top corners or help to clear them, depending what drops.
To begin with you need to clear space in the middle to give you chance to make combos. You are going to need to make as many powerful combos as possible to have any chance of clearing the jelly, especially in the top corners. The mystery candies can be helpful or not depending a little bit on luck. You also may get wraps from the top corners too which can be very helpful if you can set them off before they drop out too far.
This is not an easy level but the only way to clear it is to blast away with as many combos as you can make.
Work low on the board to create cascades which will help clear the jelly for you without using too many moves.
Colourbomb/stripe combos are very good as they will get into the top corners which are the hardest to clear.
If you make and use combos the spawners at each side will be destroyed as you play so you shouldn't have to waste moves clearing them, in fact if you try to clear the spawners you are likely to run out of moves without clearing the jelly.

An ordinary lucky board doesn't help. I needed a VERY lucky board. Plus as soon as I had a wrapped candy in the top column I had to use a hammer on it to be able to clear the board.

Difficult level...lost my dash or whatever its called...had the top one...plus used extra and didn't even get close...have used lots of boosters so now posting for kluck...hopefully will get it today
Very hard level and so frustrating! Ended up using a fish booster at the beginning of the game and had to use 2 spaceships towards the end. Worth it.
If a multi-layer waffle covers a square with a jelly, switch it with regular candy so that you will only use one or two hammers, instead of using a number of hammers on each level of the waffle.
Space dash plus all boosters and started with CB combo. I used a hammer to hit a vertical stripe up the right column and a swap late in the game to get a stripe/wrap combo which hit the remaining jellies in the lower tight corner.
Need a very lucky board but even more needed are more moves as there are not enough the way this level is set up Right now.

This level is absurd. Zero chance of clearing it. Been playing with unlimited lives and a full spaceship for more than an hour now and never once even close. Well done, King; I've been playing for years, and never really thought about quitting until recently. The last few weeks have been nothing but "waiting for the magic board to clear the level" - zero fun, only frustration.
Boring.
Just another pay to proceed level.
Can they still call it a game? In a game, you must at least stand a chance of winning.

Over two hours now, full spaceship, used all other boosters I had... closest was about 8 left (and several of those double jelly and blocked by waffles). Total, complete waste of time. Yeah, I think I'm done. I'll check back every so often to see if they've fixed this level, but I'm not playing anymore until they do (spaceship will go away after a while and they I really won't have any chance of clearing it; I don't have a chance even w/ the full spaceship). Stupid.
I like anonymous 8/15 15:33's hint about switching a multi-layer waffle with a color before using multiple hammers to get a jelly so you only use one. It is very frustrating when games have spirals that keep falling onto the jelly you are hammering at.

I got a halfway lucky board (truthfully how do you actually know if it is or not at the beginning) and I was tired of wasting boosters so I hammered my way out of it. I hate using that many boosters on one level though. And I forgot the tip to switch candies with waffles before hammering so I used more than I needed to. Now I have very few.
People should stop paying their way forward for radiculous levels like this.
The more they see people pay to go through, the more levels like this we will get.
Perhaps it has come to a stage now where they want players who don’t buy boosters to quit.
I suppose this will be my last level then.
If there ever was a level where I needed extra moves, this was it. Luck was with me and I won 15 free moves on lucky wheel. So glad I didn’t use it earlier in episode.
Started with full space dash and all boosters ticked, and still had to use a couple of hand switches, a hammer, and two UFO's to beat this horrible level with one move left to go. And after all that I still only got one star for this level (and not even close to the second one), not sure what else you would have to do to get three stars on this level?

They gave 5 extra moves! THANK YOU!!! I used all my lives but finally got it on my 2nd set of lives. I’d get so close that it was actually fun and encouraging. This is how Candy Crush should be.

Added fish booster and started with double - finished with moves to spare.
Started with a double CB and had to use 1 hammer to get the last jelly. Passed first try. It’s possible!
Passed first time, but only because I read tips on here, and wasn't messing as it's a super hard level. Have full helmet, added all boosters. First move was a stripe/wrap to hit the top jellies. Got a lucky double sprinkle combo later. Did need a hammer to release a blocked candy at the top with 3 moves remaining, and then a friendly fish ate my last jelly.
Passed on first try. Started with one colorbomb and everything fell into place. Cascades galore created combos which are definitely the key to passing. Good luck!
Oh what or where can I use the gold crown rewards (for passing on first try) and the red heart awards? Can’t find them after I’ve worn them!
Thanks to all of your tips I passed 1st try. Full helmet and all boosters. Double color bombs to start. Good tips from cookie ... work on the bottom,clear spawners. I needed one hammer to finish. Good luck

I completed with 15 moves left, on my second try, so it is do-able.
I added a fish, wrap / stripe booster and started with two colourbombs knocked together. Honestly, the game played itself.
Passed on the first try with plenty of moves left over. Full space dash and used the three extra boosters as well. FISH are the key to this level. Good luck!
Double CB to start then hit the spanner’s till they’re gone. Rest is easy with fish booster. 12 moves left but only 2 stars. That’ll do.

What do you know! Passed on first try with cc giving me a stripe wrap booster combo (but not together). Just pay attention to both side columns at the top and hit them w a vertical stripe or stripe-wrap combo.
Getting tired of the boards where it is so hard. I hate waiting for a lucky board.

i do not have space dash etc.. i started with a stripe wrap combo higher on the board .. and that helped with the impossible top layer.. and i had a fish booster that saved my neck. i switched the fish with a wrap and it took out three jellies on the top that did not even have candies in them , so they would have been impossible almost.. good luck everyone
