Hints and tips showing how to pass level 3838 Candy Crush Saga without boosters by Cookie
level 3838 is classified as a hard level so you can expect to lose quite a few lives before you manage to pass it.
This is a straightforward jelly level, but there are a lot of obstacles to overcome before you can get anywhere.
First you need to collect the keys, each key will unlock the next one and they are all yellow, so the only way to collect them is by using special candies and combos. The fist key is at the bottom of the left side so you will need stripes, some will drop from the dispenser at the top but you need to make room for them to drop by making moves under the dispenser.
Once the first key is collected the next one is bottom right, but there should be a stripe ready to collect that one so it's fairly easy.
The next 2 keys are top right and need hitting with stripes from below as the licorice blocks you from hitting them from the side. There are dispensers for stripes along the bottom, but make sure you line them up with the keys before you use them. These two keys are the hardest to collect. The final key is in the middle of the left section and shouldn't be too hard to collect.
Once all the keys are collected you can see how much jelly is left and the hardest to clear is on the right as there are no candies in it. If you can manage to make a stripe/ wrap combo bottom right it will clear the top layer, repeat it if you can. Also a colourbomb/stripe combo may help too
This is very hard level to complete without boosters so if you have any freebies I would use them to get a good start with the keys.

Because I have no space dash, I took 4 hands and made a CB for a CB/CB combo. That needs a lot of restarts. The rest was easy to clear.
I started with a CB/CB combo, which left one annoying yellow key in the middle. Eventually I decided to use one of my previous UFOs which cleared the right hand panel and the key. Glad to be past this level. I had played it many times and used boosters.

Has anyone noticed how you no longer have the witches hat or whatever it is with all the boosters when you go back to play later but you didn’t lose them before you closed CC. Or when you open CC and it automatically puts you on the board you are still playing and haven’t beat yet? I’m playing on my iPhone
Just had two hours of unlimited lives, sprinkle and wrap/stripe and still came nowhere near to finishing! The stripes bottom right stopped falling once I had all the keys! Time to quit
By the time I get the last key I only have a few moves left.
I've gone back to lower level to obtain the CB/StripeWrap/3 Xtra moves but that hasn't helped. I can't Reset so even if I add a CB from my own boosters I still can't get 2 CB together.
I don't have enough Handswitch or Hammer to beat my way through.

This level is just plain nasty.
Vertical stripes simply do not drop, even if you make room for them.

I used my space ship or UFO or whatever you call it and it didn't even get close to the 4 candies I had left on the board. Ridiculous level King.
This is impossible! The key at bottom right doesn't stay on the track but drops into it's own little space. The only way to get it is with a stripe/wrap combo which is almost impossible to make at the bottom.
Come on king...give players a break....really....pfffff

The first key is relatively easy if you get a stripe to drop from the top middle (on the left side of the board) and line it up with the key. That second one is a killer, it drops down into no man's land. The only thing that can hit it is an envelope (or whatever you call those candies shaped like an envelope). If you can get it near the key, THEN, detonate it. Or a stripe/envelope combo near the bottom. I waste most of my games trying to get that second key. IF I get it, the 3rd and 4th keys don't take too long. The stripes fall down and line up with the key within a few moves. The last key in the centre, again takes a couple of moves. But by then that's all the moves I have left and I can't get all the jelly on the right. I even got lucky once and had to colour bombs land side by side, I set them off and they only cleared one layer of jelly!! UGH!

My board doesn't look like Cookie's after the first key is collected. The bottom right conveyor is empty and the key is in the bottom row in the middle column. There is no stripe to hit it as she mentions. There is no way to make a stripe to hit that key because the licorice is above it and jugs fill the sides so no way to make a horizontal stripe.
There is no way to hit the top right keys because there are no jelly to make stripes in the bottom (again as she says). The bottom right conveyor is empty and the jugs fill up all the other spaces. Anyone else having this problem?

Yes me. Hit the bottom key once using stripe/wrap but very difficult to get. Still not cleared thisblevel and getting fed up now
When cc decides as usual, it will fall into place. Hang in if you can. Having a hard time just doing that lately. King is trying to push their new games a lot. Don't bite you will just get more of the same as this one!!
and then just out of the blue, 2 x colour bombs are side by side. thats when CC decides that you've been on here long enough and we'll grant you a pass....

This is impossible. No stripes to hit the second key. Im stuck.
I have used all of my boosters. I never did get all of the keys. I have watched the video time and time again with no results. I am in need a lucky board asap. I don't think I will get past this one without it.

Horrid level. I think I'm going to be stuck here for days. Hate these ones that are just slanted to push you to buy extra moves. Nowhere near enough moves . By the time you collect all the keys there's not enough moves left to finish the jelly off. The closest I've come is having 4 left. Please for the love of all that is holy send me a lucky board.
