Hints and tips showing how to pass level 3842 Candy Crush Saga without boosters by Cookie
You have to collect two cherries to complete level 3842 Candy Crush Saga.
The only thing you need to do to collect the cherries is to clear the three cakes down the middle of the board, once they are gone the cherries will drop down to the middle and out of the exit. The exits for both cherries are in the middle section under the cake.
You need a fair amount of luck to pass this level as you have mystery candies dropping from dispensers and you really need them to turn into stripes and wraps or even a colourbomb.
Because the cakes are behind candy cane fences they need hitting with special candies and combos, but the space is very limited to make them, so you have to rely to some extent on the mystery candies to give you the combos you need. If the mysteries don't play ball you are unlikely to pass easily.
It doesn't matter if you work at the top of the board or the bottom, the results will be the same, but it is best to choose one section and work there the whole time if you can.
If you are struggling, or getting bored, with this level you could try using a coconut wheel booster if you have one to spare.

Cookie started with 21 moves and a straight forward board. I've got 16 moves PLUS fences and blockers to get through. It's pretty much a nasty little game-changer for this level. = (
Candy crush has finally given me a reason to quit. Not fun any more. I will miss it but they have made things impossible.

Posting for luck! Can't even get close! I find myself playing other games much more often now. I'm tired of playing and getting frustrated. Now I get the notification that I get a booster for 30min or an hour... but it's not on the board when I play!!! Anyone else having that problem?

As if having the SD taken away a few months ago wasn't bad enough I find today that all my boosters have gone. This is the second time in three months. I'm getting sick of playing now.

Like previous commenter, I've played this level many, many times and have cleared one cake maybe 3 times. Never gotten more than one. I've started using my coconut wheels but it doesn't make much diff. Sometimes it's the only way to get a lucky board, to throw all the boosters at it... suck, suck, suck level.
Same here. I got a notice that I got 6 hours with free lives. Pressed ok but only lasted 5 turns!!!! Sometimes I get messsges that say “sorry, I’m temporarily out of treats”.

All the levels are crap now, even the so called easy ones. This game sucks anymore. I used to look forward to my breaks and lunch for this game, now I dont care if I ever play.

When I got to this level a couple of days ago (Feb. 2019), it now looks completely different from the one in the video. In fact it's a duplicate of 3629. So if you come through after me and they haven't changed it back yet - if you're looking for tips and your board looks completely different, see if the tips on 3629 help.

Completely different level now.
Why is my level different than your video? I’m fed up with this game. Can’t eve. Get any tips if the level is different. This is frustrating and unfair.

The level shown here as level 3842 is nothing like what level 3842 is as shown on my devices (phone & computer). There are no cakes at all. Totally different with fruit taking different paths and keys to collect as well as 3 spinner clocks to destroy. Cannot figure it out.
I quit for awhile waiting for someone to give some hints for the level we have now. The level I have on my laptop is completely different from the video. I'm back playing but all I can do is hope for the lucky board because I can't figure it out!

Ok, so, I beat the level all it took was 96 hours, a $hit load of lost boosters, 200 lives.... oh yeah 3 MORE hammers finally done! Whew, so tired of EVERY level hard, super hard, nightmarishly hard! Is it any wonder my PTSD has gone back into overdrive? This is supposed to be fun and “relaxing”! Things that make you wanna go “uh”!?

Now they have taken Fantastic 5 to another level. 2 days into a new group in changed on me. The previous one had a same player as the one before that. How does that happen. Now it changes and 2 of my players are just that players which means they won't score any points. So I just can't win with it. It is not fun, for me, but they control it. Now as for this level yes another seemingly impossible level. I will try a coconut wheel.
For a couple of levels ago, I broke my own word. I said I WOULD NOT spend actual money on this stupid game again! Well, I did. Got past that level and a few others only to land on ANOTHER impossible (without spending money) level. Ugh. 😡😡😡

Can you guys imagine how much fun this game would be if it were made to just play fair. Seriously. If it wasn't set to work against us it would really be fun. I doubt King would lose any money because more people would play without the frustration of knowing the game is set to make you lose so many times before it allows you to win (usually). Especially when you get free boosters. Many times I beat games with no boosters after all my free ones are used up.

Each level now takes at least a day to beat. Can you imagine how monotonous that is king? Just stop making levels. You took all the fun away.
Tip... Don't waste boosters. Used 10 wheels with nothing. This level like all the rest are designed to get you to buy boosters. Not near enough moves as usual. You will get by when they decide your not spending.
The last level took me 8 days to pass. The one before that took me 5 days! NOW THIS BULLSHIT! Yo want us to quit don't you! Why did this to us with all these IMPOSSIBLE IMPOSSIBLE IMPASSABLE levels!!! 13 days to pass 2 levels and now probably,at least,7 days for this level! Geez! FUCK THIS!!! I QUIT!!!!
