Hints and tips showing how to pass level 3843 Candy Crush Saga without boosters by Cookie
Level 3843 is a jelly level and you need to collect keys from the bottom of the board to open it up. The keys are different colours to everything els on the board so they can't be matched or collected with a colourbomb. There is a much easier way of collecting these keys, simply hit the wrapped candy that is covered in marmalade at each side of the board with one of the stripes from the dispensers at the top. This will allow them to drop down and match with the keys, one is red and one is yellow.
You need to do this fairly early in the game as you don't want to leave the bottom half of the board locked up for too long.
Once the board is unlocked you will need to start clearing the jelly in the middle of the board. There are no candies in this jelly and licorice will keep dropping into it from the three dispensers at the top. The only way to clear this jelly is to keep blasting away with stripes and combos as many times as you can.
The jelly will eventually clear as long as you hit it continuously as the licorice will give you a move without dropping each time you clear some.
Colourbomb/stripe combos can be useful, but they don't always go where you want them to so stripe/wrap combos may be better.

Frustrating, even with Mort’s helmet plus an extra sprinkle. A fish booster helped somewhat, but I finally used free gold bars for 5 extra moves. I had been using airplane mode to keep the helmet, but had to reconnect to get the 5 moves. I won the level, but still lost the helmet. 😖😤😢
Licorice is impossible. Need better boards.
I agree with Carol. I started with a CB/CB combo, and added a fish. The CBs cleared a lot of the board. After that it was relatively easy, and a fish killed the final empty jelly, so I won first time.
Now I am really stumped. The fish booster is not available on this level and how does anyone match cbs when you lose everything when you reset to match the cbs. Also how do you get free gold bars and play in airplane mode? I've made it this far but feel like a rookie.
Thanks Cookie, for helping with tips that don’t say “start with a CB combo”. Sure, that always works. But many players don’t have space dash or reset capabilities.

Fish booster with "lucky board" got it for me
I've tried playing in airplane modebut still lose the helmet when I when I close the game. How do I avoid that Carol the Elder?
This is extremly hard!!! Because even if you manage to get the keys fast its so restricted in the bottom so its not often you can make moves there. If you cant, then your stuck because the stripes dont get through the liqurice. Only a CB can save you and they dont come easy. STUCK!! :(

This level is extremely boring.
I tried starting with boosters a couple of times, but i am not gonna waste anymore boosters on it.

Let the stripes at the top fall to the bottom by clearing candy directly under the licorice.
Agree, agree, agree...have been playing this level for awhile now and it is pretty impossible without an extreme amount of luck...licorice definitely hard to eliminate...really cannot figure out what to do except request that luck you afford me from time to time...thanks!

This is a ridiculous level...the kind that I'll only play my five lives and not come back until at least the next day. No fun at all!
Where did the fun go? Another ridiculous level :( I cant even get anywhere near playing the bottom of the board. If anyone knows any other decent game to play please let me know as I am so very bored of King spoiling this one.
SUNNYDAY...I might be wrong BUT: (|) and yes I have a big one...when I play in airplane mode.... As soon as you know you are loosing, and your on Android, drop down setting, as if you were turning on your GPS, hit your airplane. You have 2 options at this point...to keep playing in airplane mode until you pass the level. Or If you lose the game...with one move left, "x" out completely. Either way. ...When you pass, follow through the sequence of events, then go back into lobby and go back off airplane mode. Or if you lose, after you've logged out, turned off mode and go back in as normal. Everything should be good.

Gosh it would be nice to have levels again that required some amount of skill, rather than having one or 2 moves, then a reshuffle. These levels are nothing more than mindlessly playing until that one lucky board comes along. King wants you to buy a bunch of boosters, but even then solving the board is next to impossible.

The licorice doesn’t magically stay away when I play like it does in this video. This is a stupid, impossible level. Boosters don’t even really help. I’ve used fish several times and they only appear at the beginning and never when I need them.
The games are becoming ridiculus. There is no skill. Using boosters has no effect. I am not prepared to play Candy Chrush any more because it is not fun. The Candy Crush developers have ruined a good game.
Started with 2 CB side by side along with fish booster. CB took out the keys along with a lot of the licorice. Just worked on stripe/wrap combos. Finished 1st try with 6 moves left.

thank you aussie for the advice . when the bottom is slightly cleared if you have boosters at the top and you make a move under them they drop right down to the bottom , making it easier to make combos .. it worked for me. good luck everyone.
Its nice that someone explained what airplane mode is !! I'd like to know myself after all this time playing I've never heard of airplane mode. I really don't know why I come back here I used to get help from some of the comments but not anymore all I read are complaints except for cookies its too bad it's come to this :(

OK, so I hit the wrap with a stripe from above but it did not clear the bottome line, hence, no key.

Well personally I think without extra boosters this just not work, unless you get a lucky board. Otherwise this should be classed as a hard level. You can't get far when you can't shiftthe liquorice.

This level is harder than the mysteriously hard level 3841 that was quite easy I thought, this one is ridiculous I need more moves candy crush please give me more moves or I might resign cos it's getting boring & not really fun anymore
