Hints and tips showing how to pass level 3844 Candy Crush Saga without boosters by Cookie
The first thing to think about on level 3844 is collecting the keys to unlock the board.
The first key is covered in marmalade at the bottom left, try not to let it drop onto the conveyor if you can, using a wrapped candy to clear and collect it in one go is good, but not the only way. If you let it drop onto the conveyor it will move around and up to the top right section where it is a bit harder to collect and you may waste valuable moves waiting for it to move back down.
The second key is in the bottom right section and stripe/wrap combos will collect that one after clearing the licorice beside it. The remaining keys are a bit easier to collect as they are normal candy colours so can be matched if you don't have a combo to collect them with.
Once you have collected all the keys you can see what jellies are left and work on making the combos needed to finish clearing them.
The dispensers will give you plenty of stripes and wraps which will help to clear the board, so don't forget to make moves under them to get as many as you can.

Only 19 moves now! Much harder to clear all of the jelly!
Used a hammer to get the first key after a stripe/wrap cleared that side to uncover the key.
So unfair when the keys are a different color and not able to get to them, these past two episodes have been really horrible. I really think I'm done here. Its been fun, but not so much anymore.
Candy crush says I am unable to connect to Google play so I can't spin for extra moves or get free boosters from sugar drops. Has this happened to anyone else? How did you fix it? I updated cc and google play, restarted phone,etc. No luck

It is terribly unfair when you watch a video of a level done in X moves only to find you have X moves less to do it in - this seems to happen nearly every level now !!

Need more moves and luck
After many attempts, started with 1 of each booster, used a hammer on the 2nd key (as suggested above) finished with 9 moves to spare, perhaps a "lucky" board too!
Had the same from time to time, went away after a time...
Reduced to 18 moves now = 30 percent less than on the video. A hammer for the second key is (due to the liquorice and few moves) a must. So boring.

This level is really annoying.
I played a lower level to get the 2 CB, 2 Stripe/Wrap, 3 Xtra moves
I added a Fish from my own boosters.
At the very first move the fish released and ate both CB.
Most of the stripes that fall from the bottom dispenser are vertical. On the few times that a horizontal stripe appeared it self detonated along the very bottom row.
Having the licorice blocking the 2nd key is very nasty.
I've only been able to free keys #3,4,5 once and by then I was out of moves.

Got it on about the 12th attempt with no boosters, but needed extra moves from the lucky spin. Not sure if it's possible otherwise without extreme fortune.
Cookie got the 1st key with a horizontal stripe. That stripe also took out the licorice blocking the 2nd key. How lucky is that?
Please give me a board like Cookie's.
If I had Hammers I would hammer the licorice and the 2nd key to open up the right side of the board.
That's my only tip and I'm not sure it's worth much.

King, THIEVES!!!! As Many times happens to me lately, I start my first try for this level. Full spacedash. 2 moves done. Candy Crush quits suddenly with no responder. The result? One live Lost, muy boosters Lost and all muy spacedash Lost. THIEVES, THIEVES, THIEVES
Hmmm...again not many comments....this supposed to be a "normal" level...but i don't seem to get a shot passing it without boosters. There are players you know that try to pass without boosters....
Day 2 at this level....just give every level the classifacation hard

This issue seems to be happening often. Very frustrating!
