Hints and tips showing how to pass level 3979 Candy Crush Saga without boosters by Cookie
Level 3979 is a dual task level, you have to collect one cherry and clear all the jelly to complete the level. Once again you will be forced to use boosters to complete this level as it is impossible to clear it in the moves available at the time of writing.
The first thing you need to do is fire a stripe into the chocolate to clear some and hopefully uncover the frog, then pray that some more of the chocolate is cleared by the cascades. Then grow the frog any way you can and use it to collect the key on the right. The key will unlock the left side of the board so you can start to clear the jelly. The cherry needs to move down into the bottom right section so this means clearing the remaining blockers that are holding it back.
Once the blockers are cleared the cherry can drop down into the bottom right, then across to the bottom left and finally up to the top right and out of the exits.
All the time you are getting the cherry to the exits you have to be clearing the jelly and with only 19 moves there is very little chance of doing all this with the increased thickness of the blockers.
A double colourbomb combo at any time may go some way to clearing the level but unless you have a lot of luck or a full space dash (if you have it) there is little chance of getting that combo.
The video below by Johnny Crush is the original board with 30 moves and less layers on the blockers, but it does show the path of the cherry.

If we are forced to use boosters then te best way forward is to hit the key with a hammer early and the board will open up...

Hit the frog 7 times. Never got frogtastic! Hit it 10 times. Same results. Something is definitely ceros f!

Deep, for some reason the frog doesn't "light up" when it's ready to use. Try tapping on it and see if it works even if it doesn’t look like it's ready. Worked for me. Good luck!

Not doable without a lucky board
On the first move I hit the key with a Hammer, which really opened up the board. I finished with 3 stars and 14 moves left. Maybe just a lucky board but I believe that using the Hammer on the key saved a LOT of moves.

Every single one of the 397 series have been ridiculous!!! Been at this level for 3 weeks, deffo going to quit!!! Happy Xmas

The frog is totally inconsistent. Sometimes it gets fat and doesn't move...then voila he pulses. These games are too frustrating and rigged. Time to say screw it. I wanted to at least hit 4000 but this is too fucked up.
Posting again to share..Used a h as mmr on key 1st move. Opened the blue fog 4thmovw. Hour all blue cascades...No Frogtastic til last move. I call bullshit. Then won 15 moves and finished with 15 jellies left and the cherry. This is pure, total unadulterated bullshit. I'm done. Rigged...rigged...rigged.
Boring again and again. Can not even get the key. So thanks for playing goodbye
Well I can't count how many times I have played this level..I have broken into the bottom left a few times but always so many left to get...boosters all gone again...on old age pension can't afford to buy all the boosters needed to win now...have no space dash or anything...

Good idea in theory... Except when you don't even HAVE a hammer left because every recent episode has been designed to require boosters, and I refuse to reward their scamming with money by buying boosters... What a joke this game has become!

Had full space dash/bot/lucky letters, added fish booster, hit key right away with fish or double CB combo (I forget which), filled up frog twice, and then played cleanup on the last few jellies.
I feel terrible for anyone trying to complete these that don't get the free in game boosters. King should level the playing field across all platforms. Continued kudos to Cookie for giving us this blog, she gives great tips, curates the best available videos, and the comment section usually helps me on the tough levels. Also, the frog may or may not pulsate when ready, that seems to have changed somewhat recently. As someone else commented, when you've filled it a few times, try to click on it and see if you can use it.

on a bright note.. i won the jackpot on the wheel spin after i switched to microsoft version of candy crush.. so i now have build a bot and i won the jackpot .. i think it was a great move. if you do not have build a bot try opening cc in microsoft games.. good luck. today is my lucky day! yay!!
Honestly........SERIOUSLY.........it’s all about THEM and MONEY. I actually used up a BUNCH of STUFF and STILL didn’t get thru. A HAMMER to unlock key didn’t even work. Twice. And used other stuff also. Been here a week! I honestly do not know why I play. I quit so many times and here I am🤪😬🤔

This is the worst level so far. Been trying now for 3 days and must have tried about 100 times. A game is meant to be for fun.

I passed on my first try after finding out how to make the frog jump.After playing all this time did not know you could tap the frog & move anywhere on the board. Jumped the frog on the key then started clearing.I had only 1 booster left & had to use it to clear the last jelly.
