Hints and tips showing how to pass level 4009 Candy Crush Saga without boosters by Cookie
Level 4009 is an ingredients level, you have to collect two cherries to complete the level.
The cherries drop one at a time from the dispensers at the top of the board and the further towards the sides of the board they drop the better. You will have to switch the cherries into a column with a portal so that they can drop through to the exits. The spawner in the middle and the two popcorns are all blocking the exits, so at least one of them needs to be destroyed so that the cherries can drop through. Try to avoid switching the cherries into the middle column because it is much harder to clear the spawner than the popcorns.
Wrapped candies are best for clearing the popcorn, either get them next to one, or switch with a stripe to hit them. Don't try to clear the spawner, you will just waste move, concentrate on the popcorn on the side of the board where the cherry has dropped.
Once you have collected the first cherry, the next one will drop on your next move, so think carefully about where you want it to drop, if you have cleared a popcorn on the left you want the second cherry to drop on that side. You will still need to switch the cherry into an exit column but it should be a bit easier as the candies will be unlocked this time.

It's next to impossible to get both cherries down. A single vertical stripe or coconut wheel does not cut it. Apparently you need to have stripe/wrap combo for each one and that is easier said than done. Spawner puts triple chocolate in the way and it takes 3 moves to clear it.

I had 15 moves and tried every combo and still the cherry wouldn't drop. Its ridiculous!!
Take your time an use the portholes on the extreame left or right of board .I had to use a hand switch for second fruit .again take your time. I did it with 15 moves to spare
Hamida Ali's advice is good. I think King fixed it as there seem to be more port holes and the cherries seem to drop more easily. The moves on 4010 have gone to 30 but I am still stuck. Glad 4009 is behind me
Thank you! Once I learned this level was about strategy, rather than just luck, it was much easier and I finished it on the next try.
I just can't pass this level. Tired of collecting boosters! Tired of buying boosters!! So tired of these tedious levels!! I hit the spawner over & over! Don't know how many times it takes, 4-5 are not enough!
Done on first time! I though it is easy comparing to level 4008. Maybe I got luck...

When the fruit drops, don't let it go down too far or it will be trapped beside the hole where the portal,is. You need to move it into an exit portal column and then make moves below that portal so it will drop down.

I don't understand this level! Twice now I have had the second cherry stuck with lots of moves left but no way of budging it. I have used stripes and wraps and colour bombs but nothing will make it move. I couldn't even use a hand switch as it needed a diagonal move to get it in the right place to drop. This level is a waste of time unless there is a way to get the cherries to move - they are lined up in the wrong place and unless you can catch them very early to move them across you may as well not bother. Will not be wasting much more time on this level! Maybe time for a new hobby!
Just another boring/frustrating/impossible level, just like so many of the other ones...sigh!!
Thanks to the above tip about playing far left or right, and watching video, portals didn't "glow", was so confused, this info coupled with full build a bot got me through with 17 moves to spare, happily moving on 😀

Finally done horrible level used lollipop to get 1st cherry as I was afraid it would fall wrong way then got cherry down & was lucky to be able to move it over porthole & out it dropped dreading next level 😬

What a ridiculous level. I have broken down popcorns and spawner but can’t go forward because the cherries are in the wrong row and I don’t have any hand switches. Boringly stupid. Oh that’s me for continuing to play.

Can’t win without 2 handswitches. Waiting to get one more so I can get off this dreadful level.
I think the trick is, don't use any boosters. Puts you back in control. Finished with 5 goes to spare.
You have to have hand switch which I don't have. There is no need to play without them

This level is so weird!!! I have tried all sort of combinations and the cherries do not Drop!. It is so frustrating after more than 4000 levels.
Please King fix this.
From what i can make out for this level you need 2 handswitches for the cherries or else they just get ' stuck ' & nowhere for them to go so the level is over even if you have alot of moves left as this has happened to me a few times ..posting for luck & some handswitches
Didn't you all understand yet that since level 3500 CC is done only for getting you crazy until you pay for going ahead? It is absolutely clear that Candy Crush is on the sunset boulevard and Kings try to get some more money from the players who didn't understood that they are having their legs pulled by the thieves who still own this stupid game! Candy Crush is finished! And this is a very sad end, steal of money and nothing else ... One only advice: uninstall it and go ahead with other games, the net is full of nicer ones and for free!

Really stuck on this level as this is my 3rd time posting for luck & some handswitches too !!
After my 3rd posting (above )finally passed the level ( thank goodness ) used boosters to start level but didnt need any handswitches so it can be done ..now to move on ..i hope
Tough level, been stuck here for over a week despite using every bopster available. Wrapped combos defintly most helpful!
Unbelievable level. Phhhh.... If the ingredient is trapped below the portals, its trapped. But had opened everything with the coconut wheel (used no other boosters) resp there were coming many many wheels.... and had sooo many moves left, so I invested a switch to bring the trapped ingredient up again. Switching to the side was easier as there are not so many colors, so I switched the ingredient to the left and it was easy to bring it down the portal. Did the same with the next cherry, switched it normally. So I invested only one switch
Said I would quit at 4000 as it is just not enjoyable anymore. The addiction kept me for another 8 levels but this really is it. What a ride, was immense fun for a while. Keep crushing if you can, I'm off to do other things.

In over 5 years I got the jackpot once.
Very frustrating. Cherries get stuck.
Same problem. Last cherry wouldn't drop. Tried everything. I just play once in awhile as I started 2019 with pneumonia and I'm relagated to bed rest. The frustration tho, might do me in. CC really has become a drudge. Ugh! Yuk!

Just had to come back here & tell you guys I passed this nightmare level & really don’t know how I did it except I only played the left side of the board & all of a sudden color bombs started falling!!!! I suppose it was the lucky board I posted for!!!! Keep trying. I had given up & was playing Angry birds then came back for one more shot at it! Actually had 17 moves left . Good luck y’all

I read Cookie's tips, watched the video, and read many of the comments here, then I passed it fairly easily with the streak-based boosters. If you have the in-game contest streaks that hand out a total of 2 color bombs, 2 stripes, 2 wrapped candies, and 3 extra moves, this level can be completed fairly easily by focusing your efforts on clearing one popcorn (possibly both, but not necessary), and keeping the ingredients flowing on the side that you cleared. The thick chocolate wants to get in the way, so you may have to periodically hit it, but the specials you bring in (and build while playing) should keep it from growing too fast where it gets in the way. If you don't have the boosters, that makes it more difficult, but still seems possible without them if you understand the board mechanics. Thank you, Cookie and friends, and Happy Crushing!
