Hints and tips showing how to pass level 4042 Candy Crush Saga without boosters by Cookie
Level 4042 Candy Crush Saga is classified as a super hard level so you can expect to lose some lives before you manage to pass it and I'm not sure it is possible without boosters.
You have to collect 25 yellow candies to complete the level.
The yellow candies are provided by the lucky candies down each side of the board locked in licorice plus a couple at the bottom under the marmalade.
The only way to clear this level is by using double colourbomb combos, you will need at least two of these combos, one to unlock the licorice locks and the second to change them to yellows. Once you have the yellows there are a couple of ways to collect them.
You can use another double colourbomb combo and this will collect all the yellows in one go. Another way is to make a single colourbomb and drop it down beside one of the yellows at the bottom of the board providing they are still there and haven't been cleared by your combos.
The third way, but not as reliable, is to make a single colourbomb and hit it with a stripe or a wrap, this will often, but not always, cause the colourbomb to clear the yellows even if they are not close to it.
This is an extremely hard level and even if you are expert at making colourbombs you are going to struggle unless you are very lucky.

Started with one CB. Made 1 switch to get 2 together. Made another CB/wrap combo. Set up CB and got lucky with other moves to get CB next to other. Game over. Definitely luck!
I started with 2 cb together. I also used the checked booster. After making enough candies yellow I made a color bomb. Used 2 hand switches to get it next to a yellow. Done.
Started with 2CBs from SD.
Formed one more CB and used hand switch to form a second.
used 3 simple moves to bring the 2 CBs together.
Formed another CB and swithched it with yellow in the middle formed our of check booster.
Done with little luck and 15 moves to spare.

Level 4042 is not funny. Really hard level. I,m quitting this game now. No more fun at all
Started with double color bomb many times. Finally I used a couple swaps to get a color bomb lined up with a yellow candy then a hammer to open a mystery candy to give me the needed yellow count. Matched the bomb with the yellow and collected the last 10 yellows I needed. This is a really evil level!
Also used check booster! That and space dash are a must!

I just have start with 2 cb 2 lollipop one hand switch always play with gratitude 🙏 the greatest keep focusing 💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼
This level is IMPOSSIBLE to complete with only 22 moves. I have started several times with 2 color bombs swished together - no luck!
Use space dash 2 cb’s first and check mark booster when you get it from sugar drops and you will eventually get it. Took me couple days 50-100 tries.
Finally done used spacedash extra cb & check booster
Totally impossible with or without boosters. Another super nonsense for better holidays...

If we all had all the hand swaps that the viedo had it would be game over but we don't. Posting for lucky board. I think that most of my friends have quit playing,I don't get many free life's
Plaid until I had the amount of yellow needed showing on the board. Then I bit the bullet and bought a pinata. Done.
I did not use boosters or dash etc to start with because I saw I could build a CB with the first move. I did not use it immediately, but could combine it later with a stripe which helped much. Many moves later I could do the same again and some other combos (wrap/stripe). I did NOT have any double CB, but nevertheless only 2 yellows left in the end. Used my last 2 hammers to get rid of this ugly ugly level.
I can’t pass this or even come close! I hate having to scroll back hundereds of levels just to play a level several times to get SD. It sucks....and is cheating IMO.

One more try an I'm deleting this stupid game
Well, well! This level has been changed during the morning(on my pc anyway)-the side blockers are now stripes making it easier to pass. Onwards!
Started with cb/cb, stripe/wrap and checkmark boosters. Passed with plenty of moves to spare.
I never used a double colourbomb. The only combo I even used was 2 wrapped candies. Had 2 CB on the board the wraps set them off. It took out all but 8 yellows. Won on the first try!
I don't have the space dash and have had to do this without boosters. I managed it eventually but twice I cleared all the lucky candies and yellows on the board and was one short.
Managed to clear all of the yellows, but apparently not enough yellows on the board.
Counter stops at one yellow, but no more yellows.

Oh I'm sooo cross. King has stopped giving me free boosters in favour of timed ones. However every time it is when I have no time left and therefore useless. Thanks King! Not
I did start with a lucky board (CB/CB combo). Then a wrap/stripe combo. Done with 27 moves left! Good luck

This game falsely said twice now that I "don't have enough candies to complete the order" even though there were enough on the board either uncovered or lucky candies waiting to be uncovered. I had collected about half and could have collected the rest but it stopped the game for me. Why? There are enough candies on the board to begin with to collect the required amount.
I had cb wrap and strip booster still failed
