Hints and tips showing how to pass level 4048 Candy Crush Saga without boosters by Cookie
Level 4048 Candy Crush Saga is a dual task level, you have to clear the two cakes, collect countdown bombs and clear all the jelly to complete the level.
The candies drop through the portals from the top half of the board to the bottom, so working in the bottom half of the board will create cascades which will help to clear jelly. But you need to clear the cakes reasonable quickly to clear a layer of jelly and release the bombs. Stripe/wrap combos are good for clearing the cakes but a colourbomb/stripe combo is usually better. There are only four colours on the board so it is quite easy to make combos to hit the cakes.
The licorice along the conveyor doesn't come back once it is cleared so you can clear it with your combos or the first cake will clear it for you.
There is a square in the top half under the cake that may have no candy in it once the cake is gone so it will have to be cleared using a special candy or combo, this will depend on which cake you clear first.
Once the cakes are collected the bombs will drop and it is quite easy to collect them, but you need to keep them under control or it's game over.

It kills me how the flaw in this game board either requires a non-existent fish (I’ve started with one over a dozen times and never see it again after the first move😠, waste of a much needed booster in this level) or someone to explain why in the top right corner their is NEVER fully playable moves due to that stupid design where the big square-to-party-time thing once was! (The thing you gotta hit 8 times in order for the kazoo looking thingy to blow and cause the 4 squares under it to them need crushing,no idea what this thing is called), anyways, we don’t see this big square contraption with an incomplete layout so why is it that the 4 marmalade squares under it don’t have colored candies in them to make moves with? I’ve seen many many boards previously with this same flaw, but luckily the fish save the day. But just the same, I’ve also seen a similar design layout with marmalade needing crushed, holes or gaps somewhere in our board design and they always had a colored candy in them, not just a blank marmalade. I wish the designers and developers would make up their frickin minds!
Started with double color bomb and also used fish booster. You need to break the top right cake first because there is a blank jelly under it. I used a hammer to hit the last wedge. When you break the bottom left cake, it will clear the blank jelly. The fish came back in and cleared the jelly left in the bottom left under the cake.
Well this example is worthless as the board is completely different now. This is probably where i stop playing as the boredom is getting to be to much playing a level over and over so many times.
Wow....In addition to double licorice in the middle of the board, there is a line of double licorice blocking both cakes!! Too few moves makes this discouraging to play.

It's ridiculous to reduce the moves to 18 and then add double licorice beside the cakes. Maybe eay if you have double cb's but people playing on pc. can't play for any boosters anymore which is totally unfair on levels like these. Most of your moves are wasted just trying to get through the licorice. 'm not surprised people give up CC altogether because it has become tedious and frustrating. Who needs more stress in his life?
I can't get through the double locked licorice, therefore, I'm not clearing even one cake, let alone two. Hence no bombs falling.

Another ridiculous level. Must be a masochist, since I'm still playing this stupid game! Used to be fun, but it's just plain boring and frustrating!
They put chocolate in this level too...cc got to stop changing the levels when someone beats it easy....when twenty beat then change

Agree with above comments. Pretty impossible as it is. Only solution is to wait for lucky board or the silver bows or use loads of hammers or just swipe aimlessly using your 5 lives until king changes it. I haven't yet cleared a cake with the current board and just play somethinh else in the meantime

Had 25 moves and free CB plus wrap/stripe from the bean stuff. Reset till I had CB plus wrap which cleared the chocolate and most of the liquorice. Actually it's not sooo difficult to make combos then with CBs as CBs are possible to make with an open field. Important: clear the top right cake first (as one field is almost "unclearable" later but gets cleared without any problem with the second cake). To clear the left bottom cake and the jelly underneath later is easier. Needed some attempts but did never think (even when I played this level without boosters) that the level is "impossible"

Now there's a stripe dispenser on the right. Try to clear the bottom chocolate first so the stripes can drop down into the corner. From there they can attack the locked licorice and cakes. Pathetic level.
This is easier if you clear the top cake first, then that pesky blank square is taken out when you clear the bottom cake.
Why drop our moves and add more licorice? Ridiculous. Can't pass.

Don't even waste time playing on PC. You only have 18 moves, plus all the double licorice, etc. Ipad and phone both start with 25 moves, plus there is a stripe dispenser underneath the top cake, over the right-most conveyer. Came within 1 marmalade, the one without candy, but didn't have any more lollipop hammers to finish the level.
This is ridiculous! Begging for lucky board to get me out of my misery!
Silver bow candies are now gone, along with all other fun things we used to have.
This level is enough to make even me quit.

Hello? Another insane impossible level. I will never, and haven’t in months, even spend 99cents on this game. It’s not fun anymore. Using up my boosters and moving on to more strategic games, not just a game where you have to wait for them to give you a passable board....like playing slots!!!

I stopped counting how many times i already tried to pass this level. Need at least 2 cb combo's....what a tedious and horrible level
Another game I have been on for days and days, I have used all my boosters,wheel spin and gold bars to get through and still nothing. The flying saucer didn't even work, what a waste that all was. PLEASE,PLEASE give us a sporting chance these games are getting ridiculously difficult to pass and days and days of play and still nothing. Really not an enjoyable game any more just a waste of effort. LUCKY BOARD PLEASE, LUCKY BOARD PLEASE CC.
I used a fish booster and then just blasted away everything I could. Also, over a million points and only 5 stinking sugar drops. WTH!

Another ridiculous level. Locked licorice, regular licorice within candy cane fence and chocolate. Can't even get cakes cleared. Hard level and getting tired of not enjoying this game anymore.
