Hints and tips showing how to pass level 4050 Candy Crush Saga without boosters by Cookie
Level 4050 is a straightforward jelly level with a few tricky jellies without candies.
The frog will be a great help on this level, you can use it to grow the popcorns or to clear the tricky jellies in the corner sections. I would suggest you use the frog to grow the pocorns and get two together to clear the four corners of jelly.
The best way to clear the four corner sections is to switch two colourbombs together and it is fairly easy to make colourbombs with only 4 colours on the board, besides the ones you get from the popcorns.
Be careful not to put the frog in the top square above the top popcorn, or even beside it, this will either stop or restrict the candies dropping onto the board. If you grow the top and bottom pocorns into colourbombs you can usually drop them together to give the combo needed to clear the jelly.

If you are play level 4053, don't start with a double color bomb, it will stop your game.
If able, start 4049 & 4050 with CB combo, easy after that

Easy level, achieved on first try. No boosters, managed to get two chocolate balls together half way through and that really did the job for me.

No frog here either. I just passed using no boosters - lucky to make two side by side color bombs which cleared all the pesky corner jellies.
There's no way it's a glitch to have no frog. Forcing us to use fish and hammers will only drive more away. I'm on prepaid android, couldn't buy boosters if I wanted to. Pathetic King.
HELLO KING!!!!! We can’t get past this level. THERE IS NO FROG!!!!! What happened to the frog? And now we can’t reset the board without loosing a life AND booster helmet/stocking/whatever, so can’t get two color bombs together unless by luck. So.... no skill, not fun. What do we do?!?!
I've no frog but started with he boosters and matched colour bomb with wrap, amazingly 2 more sprinkles appeared side by side. Must have had a lucky board but it is possible without the frog.

Since there’s no longer a frog, only way to clear jelly in corners is by swapping two colourbombs. Try and break the top and bottom popcorns at the same time, this will give you two colourbombs. In saying that I still haven’t passed this level yet.

Ok, I admit it. I was kidding. My frog is in the same amphibious jail all of yours are in. Don’t want any of you brain trust participants ending it all because King is so unfair. I just couldn’t help myself. I mean, if you’ve gotten this far and don’t know that changes are sometimes made after Cookie writes the post, you’ve gotta be seriously tying to avoid knowledge. You’d probably enjoy a mentally taxing game of Tic-Tac-Toe. Maybe a Word Search is more suited to your intellectual capacity. If you find Go Fish a challenging battle of wits, you should just wipe off the drool and spend your time waiting for someone to remind you to breathe.

Finally beat it! Managed to get 2 cb together during the game. Didn't use any boosters and 2 moves left.
Don't you that not all of are able to start with 2 CB.

space dash doesnt seem to work so you can't collect them that way and playing straight you can only use one color bomb per game .....this is yet another bullshite wait for lucky board to blow away the corners

Rough level. I never could get two CB together, had to make a CB + stripe combination, and added a fish booster to the full space dash/bot, and used a switch hand and hammer in trying to make the CB + CB combination. This is probably possible without boosters if you play incredibly deliberately and happen to either make a double CB combination yourself or detonate the upper and lower popcorn on the same move, creating the double CB combination. The tips by Cookie and everyone here, plus the video, did help a lot. Thank you, everyone, good luck, and happy crushing!

Seriously, what a scam game. I hit two cbs together so many times and have yet to conquer the game. A nonsense game for sure. King is in control and I’m wasting my time and energy playing this boring game. Not a bit challenging when you have to rely on King to give you the winning board. GONE!
I've also had 2 CB together several times in the same game and STILL couldn't get through. I guess I'll have to wait for the proverbial Lucky Board!
Are you kidding me? Two CB does nothing. I am really tired of this. Every level you need multiple boosters then reset a million times to get them side by side and still you can't clear the board with the ridiculously low number of moves allowed. Enough already, time to quit and enjoy the summer.

As I see it, you have to have a dcb to pass this level. If by a miracle, I get two together, they always get set off before I can do it !! 🤬WTH !!

More proof that King is sock and twisted. Impossible level. Any booster hets set iff before you can use it. Even if you combine a stripe and color bomb, none of the stripes will hit corners, especially upper corners because everything cascades down so nothing hits there. How the "f" are you supposed to even come close to clearing the corners? No candies populate in there so you have to depend on some combo managing to hit them. With so few moves it's almost impossible to griw the popcorn or whatever the heck they call it now..This just plain sucks, King sucks!
This level sucks. It’s getting harder and harder to keep interested in CC. There is no frog any more which would make a huge difference. It’s no fun when you just have to wait for the lucky board!
