Hints and tips showing how to pass level 4401 Candy Crush Saga without boosters by Cookie
Level 4401 Candy Crush Saga is an ingredient level, you have to collect three cherries to complete the level.
The cherries only drop one at a time and moves are very tight so you need to use them carefully.
The first cherry is already on the board at the top of the middle section. The cherry can only drop down when it is above the gaps in the "shelves" so if you have moves ready to drop it down wait until the cherry is able to drop down before you make the move. Wrapped candies close to the middle section will help clear the licorice and drop the cherries once they are in the middle section.
The second and third cherries drop from the top left or right and need to drop down to the conveyor at the bottom, from there they need to drop through the portal to the top of the middle section and then down the zig zag course to the exits at the bottom.
Use any combo you can to get the ingredients to the conveyor and if the cherry is in the middle column make moves that will effect the candies in the middle section to drop it through into the middle.
It is fairly easy to make colourbombs and other combos so look for these whenever possible as they can be used to drop the cherries down once they are in the middle section. Remember that the cherries can drop a long way in one move, but only if they are over the gaps in the candy canes when you make the move.

This level is ridiculous. Only 3 moves left when I got the first cherry to drop! As for cookie saying colourbombs are easy to make. ...... they're not!

Coconut wheel worked for me. Luckily it gave me plenty.
Such a frustrating level with uncontrollable cascades ruining any planned moves and destroying colour bombs. Many times I only got one cherry off or almost two but never had enough moves for the third. Finally, with the third cherry at the top of the middle section in line to drop I spun the wheel and won five extra moves and then needed two hand switches to get the cherry onto the bottom row and then off.

Once you figure out the portal system, it's actually a very interesting level. Look on the left and right for opportunities to make special candies, especially color bombs, then detonate the specials when the cherries are over the portals, that should get the cherries to drop far down the center, use color bombs or make strategic moves when the cherries in the middle section are above the spaces between the candy fences, and repeat the steps until all your cherries are collected. Interesting level but that darn licorice ...set up a play and the licorice moves in. King again lowered the gold bars from 60 to 30 but charging the same price..therefore I'm protesting and not buying..if I can't win without extra bars..so be it and I will move on to another game..

This is THE WORST!! Those stupid bars in the middle section mean that it can take forever to get through a game because you languish there while all these useless cascades happen. Ugh! SO boring!!
OBVIOUSLY, they changed the # of moves allowed for this stupid level at some point, seeing as how the color bombs have a timer of 25 moves and there's 22 moves for the level...
A very funny level. Once in a while there still are nice levels. It was a pleasure to watch all those cascades and colourbombs forming by themselves.

Lots of cascades on the last few goes but utterly useless. By the time I get the first cherry off I've less than 10 moves to get the other 2 all around the board and off. Its a very frustrating level, I get really agitated trying to find moves at the beginning. It makes me want to cry knowing I'll have to go through it at least 50 times or more lol
Not necessarily, I've played a few levels where the countdown exceeds moves. But having said that, I wouldn't discount what you say. This is a 💩 level I'll be glad to see the back of.
