Hints and tips showing how to pass level 4742 Candy Crush Saga without boosters by Cookie
Level 4742 Candy Crush Saga is classified as a nightmarishly hard level so you will lose some lives before you manage to pass it. This is a jelly with licorice to clear before you can get to all the jelly.
Clear the blockers at the top of the board to get the stripes dropping from the dispensers and these can then be dropped down and used to begin clearing the jelly and licorice.
If you can manage to get two colourbombs together you will have a better chance of completing the level although this isn't easy with 5 colours on the board. Look for wraps to switch with the stripes that are fairly common, or a colourbomb to switch with the stripes.
Drop combos down the middle to clear the sides of the board. The two bottom sections on the left and right are slow to fill up with candies once the blockers are cleared as the candies only drop into these sections from the ends of the conveyors. This can make the last few jellies tricky to clear, but using combos can work well once the jellies are uncovered.
The level has changed slightly since release but has actually been made a bit easier so the following video should be helpful.

Same like El Beatle. Nightmarish is sth different. Won with 4th try without boosters and 6 or 7 moves left. For 4741 (allegedly "easy" level (resp "insane luck level")) I needed 20-30 attempts

That was a cliffhanger! At the end, I still didn't have candy in 2 spaces on the bottom right. Was able to get a horizontal stripe in place with one move left to set it off. Not an easy level for sure.
Very difficult to clear the bottom part of the board would love a lucky board please
