Hints and tips showing how to pass level 4838 Candy Crush Saga without boosters by Cookie
Level 4838 Candy Crush Saga is classified as a super hard level so you may struggle to pass it without boosters. This is a jelly level.
First you need to make stripes and fire them into the top part of the board, especially on the left side of the board. Once you begin to clear the waffles and licorice you will get wrapped candies dropping from the top and these can be switched together to clear the waffles. If you switch them close to the middle part of the section you can also start to clear the waffles on the right section.
The candies will drop through from the left top section into the right top section once there is space for them, so you can let the wraps drop through to clear the right side too.
Take care to clear the top two blockers and jellies in each section before too many waffles are cleared as these four squares are the hardest jellies to clear as there will be no jellies dropping into those sections once the waffles are cleared. If you don't manage this you can use combos from the bottom to clear these remaining jellies.

Try to clear the blockers on the second column as quickly as possible because from there striped candies also will fall in addition to wrapped candies, unlike on the other three dispensers where only wrapped candies fall. You will need striped/wrapped combos to clear the blockers and jellies on the top left which are the hardest to clear.
I forgot to mention to add a fish booster. The fish will be very helpful in taking out the jellies on the top which are very hard to clear. The bottom jellies are easier to clear because the wraps stay on the bottom.
Impossible!! Want you to buy moves/boosters! Time to quit

Double wraps and fish! Key to finishing! Fire stripes and stripe/wrap combos to clear path for candies to fall. Took a while, but finally finished. Good luck!

Unlike some that posted, I am not finding this one either fun or difficult. it is boring, boring, boring.

I'm always a few moves short of clearing the board (even though I got "X" minutes of a booster from sugar drops this morning).

I've been going back to lower levels to play for Space Ship and get the CB, Stripe/Wrap, 3 Xtra moves with the hope that those boosters would give me a better chance at passing level 4838.
LO, today when I played lower levels I did not accumulate Space Ship so that has been taken away, too.
This morning I won 6 hours of CB. What good is 6 hours of a free booster when a player has no lives to use and cannot play!

The level I have is different, I need to clear two cakes, get yellow candies and clear blockers...

The level as it is now is completely different and impossible to win since there aren't yellow candies enough as required to collect. On an old device of mine I still have the previous version of this level, difficult but doable. Moving on to next nightmare. Good luck!

Why make the game so difficult it loses all the enjoyment? I must have played this level a hundred times and can’t get close to getting the number of yellows required, just no point in playing anymore, impossible without spending a lot of money.
Need help!!! Again i got different board. Completely different board and i hv no clue how the board works. I hv to clear 78 jellies and collect 25 yellow candies and 2 cakes, this game is not fun anymore so....boring and frustrating no more fun

The video is completed on the last of 30 moves with no moves remaining after a lucky board. Currently there is only 28 moves, more jelly to clear, and the wrapped and stripe candies fall one at a time vs. two at a time in the video. So how does King think this level can be passed after these changes? By spending money on boosters and extra moves which is what they want. The only other option is to play this level days on end until Kings gives you that lucky board that plays itself and allows you to pass this level. Why spend money when there is no skill and all luck needed? Thank You Cookie for all of the advice and tips.
