Hints and tips showing how to pass level 4997 Candy Crush Saga without boosters by Cookie
Level 4997 Candy Crush Saga is an orders level, you have to collect licorice and clear the two cakes to complete the level. There is some licorice already on the board and the remaining licorice for the orders will drop from the dispenser in the top right of the board.
First of all work on clearing the cakes by making as many combos as possible, stripe/wrap combos are good as are colourbomb combos. Once the cakes are cleared the stripes from the dispenser top right as well as the licorice, will drop into the middle section so it will be easier to collect the licorice.
Remember that every time you clear licorice by matching beside them you will have to wait a turn before any more drop. However clearing the licorice by switching 2 stripes away from the licorice so that it is cleared by the cascades will not stop more from dropping.

Just completed this level, I found it best to only clear the bottom cake so it creates a reservoir for the licorice. I then focused on getting licorice to drop by switching the stripes in the upper right corner away from the licorice dropper (Meaning swipe left to right). Once I had as many licorice as I possibly could on the board I then cleared the top cake to clear up all the licorice. Then I just worked on Dropping licorice and clearing it.
Completed on first attempt. I did try and follow your advice Angela - but the wrong cake blew up! Still, there were plenty of stripes falling down to enable to get the licorice.
The key is to clear the cakes early. I used a check mark booster several times but it was wasted because I only had about 5 moves left once cakes were cleared and couldn't get enough licorice. Finally got a lucky board. Barb

This one was actually fun! Once the cakes are cleared, licorice and stripes will drop into the boxes where the cakes were. Just be careful to make your moves are not right next to the licorice because this will delay more from dropping. I still had a timed CB and timed stripe/wrap as starting boosters but no other boosters were used. Good luck!

Agree with Monty. 18 moves makes this difficult. It takes at least 10 to clear the cakes, leaving 8 or less to have to clear another 15 or so licorice that are left. I’ve been left needing a few extra moves several times, but won’t buy them.

Well I understand the concept of how this works but even NOT clearing the licorice it's not dropping
. There are only 18 moves. Why won't they drop for me.

Now only 18 moves left , that’s why i’ve tried many times but still cant get through. And i just realised when i checked this blog. Why Cc always gave us different board? Do we hv to put comment here first ?? So unfair!
Cmon why licorice disbt drip quickly even i didnt make move besides the licorice??
Of course CC has made it more difficult now. Barely any licorice drops down so there just aren't enough moves to get the quota.
COOKIE'S TIPS ARE GREAT--BIG HELP. I believe the rotten evil CC King developers spy on Cookie & then f-ck up the level to make it more difficult. What kind of greedy bastards lower the # of moves by 10. Forcing players to BUY BUY BUY moves & boosters. Games are no longer fun or FAIR.
Lucky Board please. Or I will play until I buy 30 moves like level 4995 or quit. Too old for CC developers crap.

To start new year I stopped playing cc. Only collect free boosters. Don’t miss the impossible levels and the idiotic strategy of cc. Easy disission cause there are much better and funny games to play. Do I miss playing cc? To be honest, not at all!
Well unknown, that’s why I stop playing CC! They make it impossible. I can advice you for better games to play with more fun!
Licorice does not drop, easy to clear the cakes but licorice is late into the game to drop and then not enough moves to get more to drop. FIX, FIX need the algorithm board again!
