Hints and tips showing how to pass level 5008 Candy Crush Saga without boosters by Cookie
Level 5008 Candy Crush Saga is classified as a hard level so you can expect to lose a few lives before you manage to pass it. This is a jelly level with keys and cakes and at the time of writing it is not possible to pass without boosters.
You can't hit the cakes using stripe/wrap combos until you have unlocked and cleared the licorice surrounding them. To do this you need to clear some of the waffles so that the keys can drop from the dispenser at the top of the board. Alternatively you can hit the cake sections using a double colourbomb combo.
Double colourbomb combos are possibly the only way to complete level 5008, you will need at least one and if you can make a second one you will be well on the way to completing the level.
Once the keys are collected you can begin to use normal combos to clear the licorice and finish off clearing the cakes. Once the cakes are cleared you won't get candies in the sections where they were, so you will need to continue making combos to clear the remaining jelly. At the time of writing there are no videos made without boosters so I will try to add one when it becomes available.

Use an hammer or a switch to make a double colourbomb. Otherwise it will be very difficult to complete this level. Tough.

Well I finally made it, but wasted a Flying saucer and ended up having to use my one and only party booster because I really don't want to spend all day on this hard level.

This took me three attempts to pass - I didn't view the blog first, but found Cookie's tips and the video do point out what I figured out, and should help a lot. I had difficulty building the color bomb + color bomb combination, or may have passed sooner. I have used up almost every hammer and switch hand now, so any more levels like this will require me to pause and go back to build up those via sugar drops, mini games, free spins, and other such ways to add them to my stash. I was tiring of the level and used my last pinata to finish off the jelly that I wasn't going to reach in the top right corner with 1 move to spare. I couldn't bear struggling more with 1 hammer and 1 switch hand left, didn't see another way to pass. Good luck everyone, thank you for the tips, and happy crushing!
I am completely shocked that I passed this on the first attempt, in view of all the comments on here! I was convinced that I hadn't done it. However, as I was playing this on my mobile (cell) phone, I got the opportunity of 15 extra moves at the end - and still not enough! HOWEVER, I had won enough gold bars earlier , to use these and try for another spin. I managed to get another 15 moves!!! Even then, I only completed the level on my final turn.

Nice, when you finally manage to get 2 color bombs side by side they wind up exploding from the cascades. Cmon
After 30 (not 3) attempts started with double CB (one timed, one via bot by playing level 606), used an ufo when the cakes were free (fortunately hit both cakes and many liquorices) and one hammer for the last piece of the second cake. Got finally luckily a wrap next a stripe by the dispenser, so this finished it with almost no move left.
(finished the final jellies that are hidden underneath the cake)

One of the problems is I suspect we are all playing different games. I can still build a bot using old easy levels (I use 3711) PROVIDED I NEVER HAVE AN INTERNET CONNECTION WHILST THE GAME IS OPEN. if I accidentally leave it on I immediately lose the boosters. It means I don’t get the daily booster but worth it. I can still re-set the board. My husband also playing on an iPad from the same IP address can’t. He loses lives each time. For this game after many failures I started with double cbs together then luckily made two more together fairly early on. ‘‘Tis luck my children, just luck.

I have tried everything, once again, with no luck! Curious if starting with 2 CBS would it knock out some of the cake slices. Going to try that now. Hopefully the locked licorice won’t block me. Ugh....Might as we’ll post for luck while I am here!

Started w/1 fish booster. Able to make 2 CB combos and finished on 3rd try with 5 moves left. Fish boosters targeted cakes and that was big! Good luck.

Wow, that many comments pretty much sums it up.
This morning Didi gave me an hour of CB. Then I won an hour of Stripe/Wrap from the Beanstalk.
Twice I was able to start with combining 2 CB (which cleared bits of the cakes and a couple of licorice).
By the time I get the keys I usually have about 14 moves left. It's just not enough moves to clear the licorice surrounding the cakes.
The stripe dispensers are meager with what they dispense, and often the stripes are too close to the center to be of any use.
I haven't been able to make any additional CB as I've played.
By the time I'm out of moves I still need a lot of moves to be able to clear the board.
After 5 days stuck on 5006 come across another nightmare!! Again made to hard so king wNt you to buy moves!!! Time to quit!!
Don’t waste your time trying to clear the cakes as only a double color bomb will hit them until you get all the keys. Keep hitting the waffles and the keys drop quite quickly. It’s hard to plan moves as cascades explode all strategy. If you have a fish booster it helps clear the cakes. I started out with a double color bomb and a fish booster and finished with two moves left. Good luck and be patient.

This level is ridiculous. By the time you collect the keys there are no moves left to break the cakes. Really? Was adding licorice around them necessary when it's already impossible to do. Do you guys ever play your own levels. Do you like playing the same level hundreds of times. Good God give us back the ability to make boosters. The timed ones are bullshit.

Have managed 2 double colour bomb combos twice and still not passing this one! They are only really useful after you have collected all the keys and unlocked the liquorice
Thanks to the free lives, I’ve been able to have over 100 goes on this. Only once have I had a double colour bomb which, on its own, isn’t enough. Without a kind gift of luck, I will be here a very long time. Please help 🍀🍀🍀🍀.

Even I am frustrated with these current levels where you need to play dozens of times even with unlimited lives gets boring. Little help here. I really like to give up on this level. Been here for almost a week & have used all my boosters. Even though I had several double color bombs but it still didn’t work.

What a joke...24 hrs unlimited lives...just means playing same impossible level over and over.All levels should be passable without needing boosters as we don't get many boosters now. Time to give CC away

75 comments...that says it all. Is it possible for a level to be more impossible than impossible? Yea it is...this one certainly is. I uaed a fish that was a little bit helpful. But i ran out of moves and only got 2 left. So i dont gonna waste more boosters in this level. Because it is getting harder and harder to collect boosters. And all the levels are freakin impossible. So tell me king...how does a player has to pass levels besides waiting forever for you to give a pass????!!
65 attempts already. I quit for today. Hopefully i can pass after 250 or 300 attempts. Because this is the way it is going to be. Why making it so difficult and impossible? I can hardly remember that cc was fun to play.....this is getting pretty ridiculous..
Yes...i made it! I finally passed 100 attempts...110 to be exactly. And still not 1 chance to pass. They always say you can pass without boosters. But that isnt true unless king gives you a pass. Just give me 20 fish or more. Maybe i can pass. This sucks major.
In my opinion, this is the hardest level I’ve played. Yes, there were other levels that were insanely difficult, but this one seems impossible. Not nearly enough moves left after you’re able to finally collect all of the keys.
It's becoming a game of attrition. Looks like I'll be here for a while waiting for the lucky board.

Another level where I feel conned. Six hours of free play and not one level passed AGAIN. The same thing happened last week. Only today, when my six hours ended, I was left with ONE square to clear and it cost me 1.99 to clear it. I got given 25 moves to clear it in and I only used one. What a total con. Just to let you all know also, the next level is just as tricky !!!!
I'm having no problem collecting the keys and making quite a few stripe/wrap combos and CB combos (not double CB'S, though). I haven't been able to clear either cake so I think I will be here for awhile.
I think this level was designed to get us to use our bounty from passing 5000. I didn't want to be stuck here forever so I used a hammer to finish the last piece of each cake. Then, with four moves left. I used a precious UFO which allows me to get past this ridiculous level. I would have enjoyed it before King eliminated a lot of what made the game fun. I could quit anytime now and not look back.

Agreed, miracle board needed. I got the double color bomb but did not use until the keys unlocked the licorice. Then used the CB/CB to clear the licorice and some of the pies. Miraculously I also got a CB/stripe combo that knocked out both pies at the same time. The third miracle was a stripe/wrap combo under the remaining jelly and I was done with moves to spare. Guess I'll go buy a lottery ticket today!

To collect free boosters every day is better than to play cc idiotic and unfair game off cc and kingsize games. They lost all interest in a fair game. My advice, look at other games!!!

The only way to get a level of CC is waiting for a lucky board! Using boosters or buying, don’t do that, won’t even help you. CC is not a fair game, so keep you money in your pocket and play better games than this one!

Never had to use any boosters and after about 12 tries on yet another frustrating level I finally passed. I did have some fish activated but they only appeared once and never did me any good. I was down 9 moves left and since that was the lowest I had gotten, (I always ended this level with 30-35 moves left before having to retry) I didn't want to take the chance of not getting there again and as we all know CC knows this so that’s how they rope you into spending the dough. I luckily had some gold bars stored up therefore I used the 10 bars for 7 extra moves. I knew that would do the trick. Bingo! Zero boosters as mentioned other than having to use gold for few extra moves. Just glad another hellish level is behind me. Screw this game of causing one to feel completely bankrupt! Ha! Cheers…here’s to the next level of complete frustration and chaos and I am guaranteed another fantastic experience. 😏
