Hints and tips showing how to pass level 5045 Candy Crush Saga without boosters by Cookie
Level 5045 Candy Crush Saga is classified as a hard level so you can expect to lose some lives before you manage to pass it. This is a dual task level, you have to clear the cakes and clear the jelly to complete the level.
It is important to work on clearing the cakes as these will open up the board and unlock the licorice. The cakes at the bottom of the board can be cleared using either a double colourbomb combo or a stripe/wrap combo dropped to the bottom row of the middle part of the board.
Clearing the cakes is by far the hardest part of this level, but once they are cleared you may still struggle to clear the final few jellies as they will be in tricky places.
The moves have been reduced since the level was released but it is still possible to pass it without using boosters as the video below shows. The video starts with 33 moves but it is completed within 27 moves. If you are struggling with this level a jelly fish booster might be useful if you have one.

It's unfortunate that we all don't have the same advantages: I have "space dash", "feed your pet", hot air balloon, daily spin, videos, etc. Congrats to all who made it this far, keep crushing, see you next Wednesday...
I am glad that I can complete two episodes this week
with few hand & hammer boosters and many re-try.
Sugar drop still has some un-timed hammer boosters available.

Well I find it very strange that space dash etc has been withdrawn from some of us but others like Sunny in Buffalo still have it. I had Feed your pet this week, but have not heard of the hot air balloon. Some people seem to have got their regular boosters back on the sugar drops, others get multiple hammers at least. I was getting up to 3 with each cycle last week but this week am lucky to get one. With no Space Dash or Bot I used all my stripe wrap boosters to get through the last two episodes and since you can’t get them with sugar drops anymore and most of the daily treats are timed too, I won’t have any to play with when the new episodes come out next week. I think therefore that will be me out of the game. So much for the big Thank You King posted on my game site after I’ve played for three years to get to this level. It took me way too long to play the two episodes without a bot or space dash, and I’m reluctant to waste so much time again. Better things to do! It’s not that much fun.

Again 30 levels finished. Level 5045 was difficult. Fortunately I got from free spin first 5 extra moves and then again 15 extra moves. These 2 episodes were not so difficult as the episodes last week.

Last square with dropping waffle/liquorice and 2 jelly beneath with 10 moves left. Wraps/stripes and colorbomb unable to clear. Used a ufo to clear!

All should get the same - I do not even know what a bot is and play my game collecting candies and feed your Pet coming on Mondays. I also do not get a free spin but once in a blue moon 5 extra moves as a free play on.
The last three weeks I completed by having luck and a lucky board as the time boosters many times cannot be played on the level where I am stuck.

Took me longer to pass the last level than all other levels of this week’s episodes combined. A few extra moves did it for me
Esse jogo ta perdendo a graça pra mim. Não tenho mais ânimo pra pegar drops de açúcar, a maioria das vezes não tenho vida mais pra jogar e o tempo passa e perco os cronometrados, sem contar Tambem que só dois episódios por semana tá me fazendo perder a vontade de jogar. Não concorro mais ao prêmio semanal, pois só consigo passa 30 fases por semana. Mudem isso por favor!
I think what’s actually going on with the recent changes, is that King is moving away from this being a free game. Unlike Cookie, the rest of us really can’t play these levels without starting of without ideally a double CB, and for that you need Soace Dash or the equivalent. If you haven’t got that you usually need CB plus a wrap on a hard level. Now they only give away about 2 hammers a day on sugar drops and no stripe/wraps, nor hand switches or gold bars. These are all gone. Plus the daily treats are timed on three days out of four. My bet is that the lucky people who seem to be getting better treatment than the rest of us may be those who are willing to buy extra lives and boosters? If so King should own and stop pretending this is a free game.
I can’t clear the last jelly under the waffle maker. Grrrrrr!

I can't comment on how to do either this or the previous level - my wife did them on our linked 'phone while I was out! I agree with Daisy 1 though, I think that King is trying to get more of us to spend money by denying us freeloaders, the ability to get some boosters without paying for them ( e.g. gold bars). I reckon that it is those who BUY boosters who are probably getting a few more treats than the rest of us. Well, if that is the case, it won't happen as far as I am concerned. The Sugar Drop Challenge has now become boring. What is the point of any of us who have completed the game, playing for timed boosters, when we cant use them to go up levels? We are just wasting a lot of time scraping up a couple of extra hammers that aren't timed?
I've been stuck on this one for a while. I can't clear the two columns with the licorice and waffles.
The last few days I have received a real Hammer for collecting Sugar Drops but the majority of the SD perks are timed boosters. If you can't use them where you are playing they time out and have gone to waste.
Some days there is Booster Bot and other days it is Space Ship.
Didi showed up a couple of days ago. That was the first time in a long time.
I have never seen a Hot Air Balloon, nor have I ever had to watch a video.
I haven't had a Switch Hand for weeks. Assuming I ever pass this level it will be the end of the episode so I may, or may not, get some Boosters. Hope I do and hope there is a Switch Hand in the mix.

Started with full spaceship and free fish from sugar drops. One jelly left with one move so I used a UFO. Didn’t hit it once. Spun for moves and got 15! Thought that would be enough but no! Used another UFO and still didn’t get the last remaining jelly. I have nothing left to throw at it. PFL in desperation!

Annoying! The waffle and licorice makes it extremely difficult to get the jellies underneath!!
Honestly, I have something less stupid to do than going on playing a level I can not pass without spending money.
We should all quit this nonsense.

I sometimes get the hot air balloon
and also watch a video for the folowing
at the start of a level to get a free booster to play on that level
and/or one after failing the level to get a spin the wheel
and very rarely one to get a free life.
This only happens on my android phone and tablet and never when I play on the PC.
Sound great to have extra free chances but more often than not after the video has ended the app crashes. Even worse that that, all my collected boosters are wiped out and I have none left at all. The first time this happened I had approximately 1,000 before the crash. I have contacted King about this but the response was to ask the King community for help. Ridiculous. :-(

This is a tough level. Several tries and I FINALLY got it.
Full space dash plus CB and stripe booster (won 6hrs of those on a weekly challenge), and I still squeaked by with one move left.

I really don't care about what boosters every one else gets as I only ever get the free daily spin and nothing else. I came here looking for hints and tips to pass this awful level after weeks and weeks of trying and after having lost all of the boosters I had saved. Come on King let me move on PLEASE. Six less moves now and earlier players had botds and whatever...thisd isd getting boring spending days on each leveland if you buy boosters I find you have a harder time winning as once you bought they want you to again...pfl

They should rename this site no help. I don’t need your help. I’ll get rheough this level as I have every other level since level 5000 - skill, bots, re-shuffle, candy dots and boosters!!!! Oopps...........
Been stuck on here far too long. Very occasionally I actually manage to blow all three cakes, but thee's no way into clearing those two vertical lines that are always filled with Licorice or waffles. Boring, boring , boring
Hard level, indeed and no boosters. My tip: make candy combos to remove center cake with 21 moves left - this opens the board. When you can get candy stripes/wraps/combos in bottom center, use on cakes until the licorice drops then attack from above until waffles drop...there was enough moves left for cb/stripe combo and whew... this one is over. By the way, I've wondered why I no longer get spacedash or candies and the only boosters come with occasional lucky spins.

Este nível é uma fraude. Diz que o vídeo do Jhonny Crush começou com 33 movimentos, mas concluiu com 27 movimentos. Na verdade ele concluiu o nível no último movimento. Portanto, com a redução dos movimentos o nível ficou impossível. Melhor é deletar este jogo ridículo, e esquecer que este jogo foi bom. Obrigado por todos estes anos, agora chega, não sou idiota!!!
Mais de uma semana preso neste nível. Usei reforço de CB e de peixe, muitas vezes, nada adiantou, no máximo consegui eliminar dois bolos, e acabaram os movimentos. Se o objetivo do CC é forçar a compra de boosters, lamento, comigo não funciona. Prefiro parar de jogar, não preciso disto para viver. Adeus.
Wow ,king not only screws you out of plays they give you less moves less boosters and with the new saltanado they screw you less moves and then they takes lives and you don’t get the five,they are giving 3 ,Really thing I am gonna find another game ,done with this bullshit!!!!!!!

The last level when I won ,the game didn’t go head, when finally I passed . Now I won with the “tiffy three” one hour of colourbomb but again I didn’t get! What’s going on ???

I got 26 moves. Can’t get anywhere near it, when I’m lucky enough to get stripes or a sprinkle/ stripe they always go horizontal so even though I can get the middle cake there’s no chance of getting the other two. Why has king taken to cheating ALL THE TIME. I’m amazing myself really by actually playing at all.
