Hints and tips showing how to pass level 8489 Candy Crush Saga without boosters by Cookie

I will post videos for every level and write tips where I think they are needed but otherwise please feel free to give your tips in the comments.
Tips: Level 8489 is classified as a hard level so you can expect to lose some lives before you manage to pass it. This is a dual task level, you have to collect yellow candies and clear the jelly to complete the level. The yellow candies are provided by the lucky candies that drop from the dispensers down each side of the board. Work your way down the board using as many special candies and combos as you can. The frog needs yellow candies to grow so will take a while to be usable, but once it has been used once it will change colour so that you can grow it again more easily using a colourbomb. Once the board is more open you should use colourbomb combos to change and collect the yellow candies and clear the jelly.

Nearing the end of Day 2 and not even close. The best I've done is collecting all the jelly but still needing 17 yellow candies, while there are none on the board at the end of the play. Beyond frustrated at this point.😡🤬💩😡🤬💩😡🤬💩

So right after I posted I passed this level and it was pure luck. After using given moves o had 9 yellow and 13 jellies left and 1 gold bar so I purchased 10 gold bars and passed after many many color bombs appeared so I say this level is passable when king wants u to pass
Really not enjoying these hard levels anymore.
I assume eventually I’ll pass but just not like playing anymore.
After all this time it’s a shame.
I’ll try for a bit longer.

Been here for 4 days nowhere near getting enough yellow candies. Where do they come from. Don’t want to give up CC but……..
Still here. Line up two yellows for frog and next go get a cascade that wipes them out. Happens more than once. But at the end when you could use one you don’t get it. No problem getting clearing the jellies but still can’t get anywhere near amount of yellows. Will try another day.

Really, what utter BS this level is. One hour of boosters and not getting anywhere close. In fact I'm getting closer when I don't have any boosters.
2.5 hours of boosters, 2 UFOs, and 20 gold bars for 10 extra moves and its really just not happening. Just need some luck here since boosters are not the key to passing this level.

Past a few games after. Open up the bottom of the board and cascades will start. Got lots of colorbombs and use them on the colors with the most check marks. Could have just been a lucky board. Good luck.

As D said, focus on clearing the bottom of the board. This is what I did. It will open up, allowing for more cascades and combos to be made. I didn’t worry about getting the yellow. I focused on making freckles and tried to combine them with a parcel or combine two parcels. This seemed to create more destruction, which created yellows.
The first time I tried this strategy, I cleared all the jelly and had 4 yellows to get. The second time I did it, I got through and had 6 moves left. No boosters.

I’ve just realized I’ve played so much less this last seve days because of levels like this. Few levels back took me three days. This is not even fun. It’s frustrating and I just get mad. I will def be deleting. I have no more lives after this and no boosters and it’s impossible to get the amount of yellow even when I finished my check mark boosters. Get your butt out of your head King. So many people are playing less and less. It’s easy to see why.

I guess this level is just a matter of patience. When king is ready to let u win then they’ll give u the magic board! Does t seem like anything but luck with such limited moves.
