Hints and tips showing how to pass level 9118 Candy Crush Saga without boosters by Cookie
Tips and walkthrough video for this level. Even experts sometimes need help!
I will post videos for every level and write tips where I think they are needed but otherwise please feel free to give your tips in the comments.
Tips: Level 9118 is a dual task level, you have to collect licorice and clear the jelly to complete the level. The licorice is spawned by the spawners at the bottom of the board as well as dropping from the dispensers at the top, so you shouldn't have trouble collecting enough. Treat the level as you would a ormal jelly level to begin with by using combos, especially wraps, to break through into the bottom part of the board. After the first few moves the spawners will give you some wrap bonbons which will help to clear the bottom part of the board. You need to destroy the spawners as quickly as you can although it will take most of your moves to destroy them. Once the spawners are cleared you can see how much jelly is left to clear and how much licorice is left to collect. Colourbomb combos are best for getting plenty of licorice to drop at the same time as clearing thwe jelly.

In the video shown, there are 40 moves, but in reality only 30 moves. There is impossible to finish even with 40 moves, let alone 30 moves.
30 moves are not enough for dropping 100 licorice.
Please fix this
Day two of trying to get anywhere with this level. I agree 30 moves not enough and am fed up paying King to pass levels on iPad which can only be expected to pass with the moves given to the beta players on pic Windows 10. Not a subtle approach King to extract as much cash as possible from your long-term players.
Only 30 moves and it’s been made a lot harder aswell as the licorice is now covered over..finding it impossible so far as you can’t get at the spawners and there covering the whole board with licorice

Passed it but had to use 10 gold bars for extra moves a ufo and 2 hammers..Crazy that you need so many extra moves and boosters now to pass...when I’m out of boosters I’m not sure how I’ll be able to carry on playing

I did this level on the 2nd day of playing it. I did have a little help from some start level boosters(Stripes and fishes). Good luck everyone.

27 moves is not enough. I cleared all the spawners and all except 3 jellies. Still needed 22 licorice and there were only about 3 on the board. Not possible to finish with 5 extra moves.

Absolutely mpossible to pass this level without boosters, even with an extremely lucky board. I finally managed to pass this level, but I needed many gold bars to do it. Luckily I still had them. If you don't have any boosters or gold bars, just quit Candy Crush. Just don't spend any money!

We should all be aware by now of King's practice of reducing moves at the end of each first week of new levels. That first week usually has up to 40 moves and easier boards for everyone. It's after that, on the following Wednesday, where he reduces moves and makes levels harder for the rest of us. And of course, it takes us much more time to finish a level, preventing us from accumulating precious boosters. King is now well aware of our frustration, but he is determined to leave this situation as is, without changing it one bit.
A solution would be for all of us to just quit this unfair game, as many have done already.
What are we waiting for?

Y'all do realize this is just a game, right? No one is MAKING you pay to continue playing or to advance to the next level. Does it get frustrating at times, yes! But like Pati said, all levels are passable if you take your time and relax.
Don't get rid of the spawners to early like I did as that will stop the liqourice forming and I had cleared all squares on board. Never been near since, help please.
27 moves??? Someone is having a laugh. Impossible to pass with so few moves and why do you get 40 and use 37. That’s most unfair. Do they want us to stop playing. They only have to say and I will bin it.
