Level 5540 Candy Crush Saga is classified as a nightmarishly hard level so you are likely to lose some lives before you manage to pass it. This is an order level, you have to collect striped candies and toffee squares to complete the level. The toffees are on the board from the start of the level, but you are going to have to make the stripes yourself.
To begin with you need to open up the board a bit by clearing some of the toffee squares. Work on the right side of the board so you can use any stripes and combos you make to clear the crystals from the middle section of the board. Once the middle section is cleared of crystals you will be able to use the coconut wheel and then you will get stripes and wraps dropping into this section. The dispenser in the middle won't give you enough stripes to complete the orders, but the combos there will help to clear the toffees.
The best way to get lots of stripes is to switch a colourbomb with a stripe, this will also clear a lot of the toffees at the same time. Once you have cleared most of the toffees using the combos in the middle, concentrate on making a colourbomb and getting a stripe next to it so you can get the stripes needed to complete the orders. This is a lot more difficult than just saying it and you may have to use a colourbomb on one colour to make it easier to make the combo you need to get the stripes.
Take your time, there is no time limit and nothing will happen while you are thinking about your next move. The only way to get the stripes you need is to make a colourbomb/stripe combo so doing this should be your priority once you have enough space on the board.
