Candy Crush Saga level 861

Tips for level 861 Candy Crush Saga

Please "LIKE" and "SHARE"------>

Level 861 starts with only the top half of the board playable.
You need to make vertical stripes and stripe/wrap combos to break up the cream and chocolate.
Try to detonate the flying saucers as early as possible and with luck they will throw the wraps into the bottom of the board to break up the blockers. Unfortunately there is no guarantee that they will be helpful and they are just as likely to send the wraps into the top half of the board and be wasted.
There are also lots of mystery candies falling into the top half of the board, yet again you need a bit of luck. I have found the mysteries to be more often bad than good on level 861 so are not to be relied on.
Once you can make moves in the lower half try to work there, but don't forget to check the top for good combos.
You don't have many moves to clear the jelly so it really is down to luck a lot of the time.

This level is all luck. Just wait for the right board. I'm still waiting

Finally managed to pass this horrible level by using 3 free hammers when I got close. Mystery candies are a complete pain - on one go I had 6 of these - 3 were 5-move bombs, 2 were chocolate and one liquorice! AS

I agree that there are not enough moves for this level and the majority of the ? eggs are negative and the ufo's shoot up to the top half 99% of the time. This level is ridiculous and no fun what so ever!

another crappy level!!!

My board keeps on freezing ,I have been stuck forever ,

It took me about 50 tries then I got a lucky board where I was able to match a chocolate sprinkle with a stripe about 1/2 way through, which wiped out most of the board.

A pure luck board, nothing fun about it. This might be the board I finally quit this game.

I found out too late that the jelly is only under the chocolate. I would have succeded if I had known that.

This is what I was patiently waiting for? Is King for real??? 20 moves, UFO's shoot wraps into the top half, mystery candies are junk. I'd rather go back to playing Candy Crush Soda - or scratch my eyes out. Not sure which.

Another crap shit level. The ? Eggs are pretty much worthless and only add to the frustration. Not enough moves and saucers that are encased tightly when used shoot up only the top of the board 95% of the time! I'm back to not wanting to play anymore....

One of my UFO's flew off and released no bombs!!

Another crappy level, NO skill level.

I got a lucky board after only playing a few times. After backing out of a few boards where the mystery candies were all bad news, I got one where they were all good. The UFOs did their job and then, with 5 moves left, I made a move that revealed a chocolate bomb and all heck broke loose all the jellies were taken out on that move. Fun. JS

Jane said...

I agree, they are not enough moves to get the job doneg

Just posted the above and just passed this level. Thought I would be here for awhile but my lucky board came!

if the mystery candies aren't kind to you you can't complete this level. This board relies on luck. Back out of games that have too many bad mystery candies. Play right through to the end of better games because a lot can change in a few shots

Wish I had time and patience to try and win this level with a lucky board, but nope....too stoopid and boring.

Ciao CC!!!

First time I've ever posted here. Proud to have got this far without spending a cent. This level is yikes! started on it today. 50% of the mysteries are not good. Hoping to post and send advice, but it may be a while! Good luck to all who got this far, so far!

I can only get this level on my desktop. The iPhone mobile app does not update yet. Anyone else have this problem?

Anonymous said...

Anyone got this on mobile app yet?? Long wait

Finally on mobiles

Another stupid level where you are only going to pass when it decides to give you a lucky board. Boring!!! By the time you manage to break thru to the bottom board there aren't nearly enough moves left. It would also have been nice if the mystery candies on the top were at least helpful. Most are just concrete. I'm just posting here for luck.

I suppose after a relatively easy last episode this next one was bound to be a bummer. I don't like this level at all! No skill required, just plain luck. And I wouldn't mind that if the games lasted more than a minute so all lives are used up quickly.

Anonymous said...

JanC here. 30-40 lives later, managed two stars, no boosters (not that I didn't try -- selected bonus wheel fish twice but did no good, so don't waste yours) ... It is as everyone says: lucky board. And for me, it was down to the final move. Nothing to do but play til you get it. I agree with a commenter above: if the first 5 of your mystery candies are bad things, bag it & try for a luckier board.

Anonymous said...

After being stuck on levels in the previous episode when everyone else found it easy it is good to get a hard level on the second attempt. Regards AJ

This is considered a horrible level? Good thing I didn't know that before. I came here to say how nice it was to start the episode with such an easy level. Apparently I'm wrong and it seems I only got a very lucky board.

Two mystery candies turned into chocolate bombs side by side. Matching them cleared all the chocolate. Two moves later I had that luck again, chocolate bombs side by side. They cleared a lot of the jelly and set off the UFOs which fired five of the six wraps into the lower part. Done. I even had a chocolate bomb to spare. The mystery candies gave me only wraps and chocolate bombs. Not a single bad one. Must have gotten all the luck there is.

No reason to brag, I'm just happy I didn't have to put up with another difficult level.
Good luck, your lucky board will come as well - Gabi

Can't believe people are this far along in the game and STILL complaining when they get a tough level. If it bothers you that much to have a challenge then quit! The whole game is basically luck based because you never know what candy is going to show up on the board.

all i have to say is The spaceships need to fly away to some outer space area and leave the damn game . I really find no use for them . I played this game and got along just fine with out spaceships. maybe the spaceship can pick up that silly frog and drop him off somewhere also .

Lucked out with a sprinkle + sprinkle on the 2nd try to finish with no boosters and 3 stars. The UFOs didn't really help because they'd just put the wraps at the top of the board.

Anonymous said...

What the....???? Been on this level for weeks with no success than all of a sudden, sprinkles everywhere and that was it, I the level just kind of finished all by itself. Go figure!!! Which propably means don't give up, that magic lucky board will happen to you also, even if you're at it for weeks ;)

And JanC, glad to have you back ;)

Anonymous said...

I hadn't noticed that either. Thanks!

Got it first try, 2 stars. Managed to finish the last 3 jellies on the last move. Just used as many stripes as possible. Try to mix stripes with sprinkles and don't waste a sprinkle by clearing a cake.

cherylcandycrush here.

Curious sort of level, took a couple of days. Reasonably hard but not diabolically as I got close a few times.

As others have noticed, more than half the surprise candies are rubbish.

I am here to say I got through today, no boosters used, so it can be done.

The key as you know is to get those UFOs flying asap. 4 out of 6 of my UFO wraps went down the bottom where they could do some good.

You basically need to have made some inroads after 5 or so moves or it probably isn't going to end well. I think you need at least 8-12 moves left to clean up what is left.
One of my surprise candies slipped down the bottom and was a rampaging chocolate, but an exploding wrap and then a flying fish on the last move made my day, so even after a great start it came down to the wire.

My advice would be just keep playing, a decent board will come but if you are fed up & get down to one or two jellies, use a hammer or whatever it takes. I don't think this is a great board to choose some of the other boosters eg colour ball, because you are just as likely to get a rotten board and waste it, whereas the hammer or hand can be used when you know they be some help.

Looked impossible after three attempts then on the fourth combinations appeared and the ufo blasted in the bottom half. Need lucky start.

Been out all day, came home and had another try - it worked! Wonderful. Lucky, too.

kfmconsulting said...

Tough level to begin this episode with so few moves! Need luck more than skill. Make whatever matches you can including the mystery candies. Remember the jellies are only under the chocolate. Used free lollipop on last candy. 2 stars.

Anonymous said...

Not a fun level at all...All luck in getting favorable special combos up top & getting to UFO'S asap & hope they hit bottom board to allow play ...very few moves to do all this.I was so frustrated but knew luck would turn & did...got choco/stripe combo quick & then stripe/wrap hit UFO & enabled wrap & stripe in middle & then got another color bomb to open up board for yet another bomb...last jellie match came on last move vertical stripe from top..All luck & glad its over...really needs nerfed to allow more moves...Don't give up..you too will get the right special candies

Want a horror story? Do I have a horror story for you.

After eight days of trying -- and a lot of the time, not really getting close -- it all came together. Multiple color bombs, wrapped-striped combos, the saucers sending the wraps down into the bottom section ... everything.

With eight moves left, I cleared the bottom. Completely.

And one of the timer bombs STUCK between the top and bottom levels, and the board locked up.

For all the times I've laughed about people saying they're done with CCS -- I just got as close as I probably ever will.

Anonymous said...

Happy ending to the horror above -- I beat the board this morning. LOL

Got lucky on my third attempt. Glad I didn't have to suffer through this one based on all the comments. This one's all up to the saucers and the mystery candies being gracious.

Bling59 said...

I have also played endless games but finally got a lucky board. I've just read the comment that the jelly is only under the chocolate. Wished I'd seen that earlier.

Anonymous said...

Laney feels doomed to play this forever! Refuse to use bonuses. Got 3 sprinkle balls with fish, wrap & stripe. Did not even touch the bottom. Oh well, just a game.

Anonymous said...

Yet another level where you have to wait for a 'lucky board'! You would think that having got this far CC wouldn't insult our intelligence and instead give us a board where strategy and our experience are needed. I'm still plugging away after numerous attempts. MW

Cybelle said...

Are you Kidding me candy crush???? those mistery candies are all shit... blockers, chocolat or bombs. it blows me away how you can create such levels.... so not fair for us.

Cybelle said...

I am soooooo insulted and getting sick of you laughing at us all

Anonymous said...

Not your problem.

Anonymous said...

I'm complaining along with the others on this level. If you don't like it, don't read it. None ya

Anonymous said...

Smh. Crazy level.

Raylo said...

No where near the enough plays. Ugh!

Still trying to pass, but just a note for those who may not know. The UFO's on mobile fire into the same places every time: the top left corner, fourth square from the left in the top row, and bottom right. Don't waste moves focusing on using the UFO's. If you do., you'll run out moves.

After many tries I waited until I had a board with a least one vertical stripe set up and I went into it with TWO boosters from my daily spins (good thing I've saved most of them up!). This one turned out to be a great board as all of my eggs were good, no blockers or chocolate. I was able to get stripe/wrapped combos and one stripe/choco ball combos too. Really lucky board, right? But neither of my discs turned into anything! They just poofed and disappeared leaving no wrapped candies behind. I'm playing on a mobile also and wonder if there is a glitch here? I ended up really close, needed one more move to finish and bought my way through. Hate to do that but this was an ugly level and I didn't want to play it again.

These comments would be a whole lot more helpful and it easier to scan through these posts for ideas if those who want only to complain and not offer any help would just refrain from posting. Like many others, I've got this far without paying a single penny and I will conquer this one, too.

Don't have a chance on this level. I only get 13 moves on every game for
several of the last levels. This one is impossible! Candy crush, please fix it!
