Hints and tips showing how to pass level 3868 Candy Crush Saga without boosters by Cookie
Level 3868 is a score level, you have to score at least 900,000 points to complete the level. In order to get the score you will need colourbombs to clear the bombs.
There are plenty of colourbombs on the board in the form of popcorns so you need to make stripes and especially wraps to grow the popcorns into colourbombs. Stripe/wrap combos will grow more than one popcorn at a time so are better than stripes, but double wrap combos are also useful.
Don't switch two colourbombs together unless you need to as they won't give the best scores, use single colourbombs on colours which have the most bombs, or if the bombs are counting down clear the lowest count bombs first.
Matching the bombs in the outside column serves little purpose as you won't be able to get them all and the moves are better used to grow the colourbombs.

Played through 5 lives and never saw a color bomb or a wrap/stripe combo. Was never able to create even one colorbomb and never completed a level due to the timers. I have no dashes or bonuses of any kind available and even the tedious candy drops are limited to one or two times a day. I cannot reset even if I use the game bonuses. I only go through Cookie to read the comments because that is the only place to get help. CC is just not fun anymore.
This is hideous and I think this is the super hard level not the previous one (doubly annoying because it influences how you play those precious boosters). You have to start with boosters because it's almost impossible to make them on the limited board and has anyone else found you set up a match for a horizontal stripe but it turns out to be vertical? Double combo strategy doesn't get close, though at least you don't fall prey to a bomb. This level is so annoying because there is no skill, just luck. End of rant. Nanny Annie

Can’t get close to 1400000 points! Is this some kind of trick to get us to buy boosters? Mine are all but gone! Maybe tomorrow after collecting cand drops....ugh...

Couldn’t have passed without space dash and some switches and hammers to grow the popcorns so I had cbs to use to match bombs.

1400000 is a ridiculous score to try to achieve. I followed all the tips. Tricks, etc., and still came up WAY short. King, fix this. Otherwise, many folks will follow suit and quit.
Used 10 odd hammers to hammee the popcorns.. duh ( ' ' )

They have changed the minimum passing score to 900000. Now I passed!
I think the guys who program CC are not players. Otherwise they would realize how difficult is passing some levels...
I still had to get 1,400,000 and had lost the space dash. It took more than 5 tries starting with sprinkle plus stripe/wrap booster and a few resets. Then I used three hammers to hit various popcorns that were ready to pop. I tried to match them with a color with the most count down bombs and finally got it.

Having a hard time with this level and I'm not inclined to buy my way past it. At least not at this point. I am also getting a little fed up with how they change the level (less moves) after it is released.
For now, I will just continue playing, waiting for a lucky board. I can see myself buying extra moves, but I think the programmers are being unethical.

I am still Stuck on this level and need 140000p to pass. However with spacedash I normally score over a million. I think the trick is to set off the colour bombs when there are plenty of bombs on the board. Then be patient for a few moves to let bombs build up again. I am hoping to pass this level within 5 more attempts! Wish me luck!
Go down to 3711 for boosters. Easy to pass.
But this is yet another level that seems impossible. 1400000 and nowhere near, even with full hats/robots/whatever and some extra boosters.

I threatened it but now I’m done. Adios. I had all build-a-bot and get on a plane, switch to flight mode and lose it. Yawn. King has killed it and NO WAY will I fall for the let’s go and play their new game. You stuffed up King.

Didn’t have any of the build a bot but used Colourbomb/wrap at start. Took several attempts to get anywhere near then made it with just a few thousand to spare.
Was close to getting it yesterday but the battery on my iPad gave out. Nearly cried.

Used up almost all the boosters I had on this episode. I had some good crushing going on but 1400000 is way too high! I’m so sick of playing. Plz send me a lucky board. Or I’m gonna take a break for a while like I have before.
I go back and play levels 1-5 To give me the additional rewards then try to play this level. So far is not helped, the score is just too high.

Finally got it: if possible, start with CB/wrap combo, that started to grow the popcorn, allowed as many bombs to drop before setting them off 1 by 1, got well over 1400000, happy to be moving on!

Stuck for a week!
I can no longer reset the board without losing a life and any special candies. I'm playing on android. Some people can still reset for a better board.

I hesitate to mention this for fear King will change it, but 606 is a terrific level to earn boosters. The scrolling back down to the level is sukky but you beat the level in 3 moves, (select the "skip" hint button, move frog down to collect three orange, move frog up to collect 5 orange, move frog to clear jelly), then do it again, 6 times for full booster, done. No way to save the Space Dash once you play a level and lose (like before, yes, it was cheating a little!), unless someone here has discovered a new secret of bouncing out before the game registers the loss. Geez, have I said too much!?! = ) Good luck!

Good advice from Cookie. Don't combine color balls, use them with countdown bombs.
I am CONVINCED this level is impossible! Used all of my boosters...There are not enough bombs to get the score----I freakin QUIT!

Why on level 3868 I have to 1400000 points. With 25 moves. On the help page it's 900,000 points what's up with that

I know what you mean. The vertical vs horizontal stripe thing happens when you make a move that causes a candy to fall and make a stripe (after your move) vs you making the stripe (with your move). The stripe goes the direction you slide the 4th candy into the pattern. However, if you make a mive and then the stripe is made AFTER that (by a falling candy), it won't go the direction of the fall. Really annoying.
Agreed. Takes longer than 606 but lots less scrolling and you won't lose.

I’m sure King doesn’t care that those of us at this level quit. We are experienced enough to not have to spend a fortune trying to pass ridiculous levels like this one. They are making their millions off of the newbies at lower levels. Just my thoughts......

Very hard level...not enough moves and bombs will get you every time. This is a level you need a lucky board and a lot of luck to get those points...double frustrated :-(

What‘s this?! I started with a colourbomb, managed to undo all the popcorn (lucky as I was), created many additional colourbombs (with nearly every second move), and had to get me 5 extra moves in the wheel. Ended up with 1120000. King, are you crazy? This is impossible, please fix it!

Not fair to change the points to win. King doesn't care about their players, just money. Used to be fun. Only reason I am still playing is that I have come too far to quit but I WILL NOT BE RECOMMENDING CANDY CRUSH TO ANYONE BECAUSE OF CHANGING THE GAME.

A glitch in the program? I was at least getting close.. between 1 and 1.3 million.. Now all of the sudden i'm lucky to get 300, 000. What happened? Maybe if they see noone is progressing, they will check out the program

My level is also 122 jellies with 26 moves, been on this level for a week.
