Hints and tips showing how to pass level 3901 Candy Crush Saga without boosters by Cookie
Level 3901 is an ingredients level, you have to collect 5 ingredients to complete the level.
The ingredients are held back by the licorice down the middle of the board and this can only be cleared using special candies and combos.
There are several ways to clear this level and it has been made harder since it was first published.
If you clear the blockers at the bottom of the left side the candies will drop through into the right side where you can then use them to clear the cake, this will collect the first ingredient but then more licorice will drop with the next ingredient so you have to keep clearing it.
There are stripe and wrap dispensers once the cake is gone so you can use these combos to keep clearing the licorice but you may run out of moves before you get all 5 ingredients out.
While you are clearing the cake remember to look at the left side of the board for chances to make colourbombs. Switching two colourbombs together will clear most of the licorice but the game seems loaded against this combo recently and some licorice in usually left on the board.
I have found that by far the best combo to user is a double wrap combo, if detonated beside the candy cane fence it will clear the whole middle column and collect the ingredients in one move. As far as I can say no more licorice drops before the ingredients all drop out.
All other methods I have tried leave some licorice on the board and more clearing to be done.

After trying to play this multiple times I made 2 wraps and 2 handswitches to move them to candy fence like Cookies video.

After I cleared the cake bomb, the only licorice left is on the top of the left column and the bottom of the right column which blocks the exit for the ingredient on the left column. I hammered the licorice and the ingredient exits. The other ingredients left (3 or 4 of them) drop from the top of the right column one after the other to the exit. If I made a move, the columns would have been filled with licorice and I would have to clear them to complete yhe level. One hammer saves me of the trouble of doing that.

The 2 wrapped at the fence worked even with the locked licorice. I didn’t think it would so I wasted a life trying to finish by clearing the cake. The special candy dispensers really did produce enough and I ran out of moves, my bad.
Crazy level. Thanks for the advice cookie and Rick! I don't know how it happened, but used a couple swaps and a hammer to get the last piece of the cake and it worked.
Very difficult level. Tried all the boosters and combinations but haven't got through. Few moves. Need a lucky board posting for luck

Started with CB/CB combo, finished with 14 moves to spare, advice about 2 wraps together didn't work for me

Started with double wrap next to candy canes, switched them and it was all over in 1 move.
Ugh
I happened to be able to make two wraps together after three moves, switched them and then the ingredients just fell out. Didn't clear the cake or do anything else. Weird.

FYI you don’t need to go all the way back to 606. Try level 3711.
I finally got through this level by smashing 2 coconut wheels together for the last 2 ingredients

I manage to clear the cake. But licorice always come back then can't get ingredients down ;(
Totally agree, forget the licorice, clear bottom blockers, then I managed to a wrapped, sprinkle combo and that was it.
Second attempt, after reading advice on here.
Why arent there more comments? Does everybody buy lots of boosters? King seems to forget that there are still players that play cc without buying boosters. Give them a fair chance!!!!!

Maybe if I had 30 moves like the video instead of 15 I could get through it. The change in moves is getting ridiculous!!!!!!!!
Another impossible level. Need doable challenges again.
