Hints and tips showing how to pass level 3989 Candy Crush Saga without boosters by Cookie
Level 3989 is an orders level, you have to collect 40 waffles to complete the level.
The waffles stay in the top two sections so they have to be cleared using special candies and combos. There are stripe dispensers each side of the board and also wrap dispensers at the bottom which drop wrapped candies onto the conveyor. The conveyor takes the wraps up to the top part of the board and if you can hit them with a stripe or a colourbomb they will take out 4 waffles in one move.
You don't have to clear the chocolate to complete the level but it will be much harder to make the combos you need if you don't get it cleared fairly quickly.
Sometimes when you have cleared one of the wrapped candies you may get two side by side on the conveyor and you can wait until they get to the top and switch them together, this will collect 12 waffles in one go as it will set off the stripe at the top too, twice!
The moves have been reduced since the videos were made but it is possible to complete this level without boosters although you need a lot of patience and a fair amount of luck.
I got to within one move of completing it without boosters but I made a mistake with my last but one move, I needed a stripe and it turned into a wrap and ruined my planned move!

Start with cb combo. Keep trying to hit the horizontal stripe at the top. Hammer a wrap at the top conveyor. Managed to get 2 wrap side by side at the top conveyor and viola..game set!(^.^)

It's 50 waffles now
It is 50 waffles now with 18 moves only (it was 40 waffles with 26 moves. It became impossible! We are starting missing the fun while playing, as it is became so frustrating/ source of stress and it is no longer a stress relief!!!! Very disappointed!
These new levels haven’t been here very long. Why do they get harder when there aren’t many people there yet? What’s their point?

It seems that if the people that trial it can do it without boosters then they take away moves & add more things to collect to make it impossible .. I’m up for a challenge.. that’s part of the game .. would be no fun if every level could be completed first move but seriously.. this is getting stupid now .. I’ve actually gone back to reading in bed now instead of the half hour on here as it pisses me off so much !!!!
Has anyone been able to pass this level with 50 waffles and 18 moves? I think it's impossible so I'm not even trying to play it until I have built up my boosters and gold bars. As someone else said, I will now have time to clean and read.
50 waffles and 18 moves. The closest I’ve come is 31 waffles - 19 left. I’ve tried with boosters and without. I have no piñatas or ribbons. It’s very helpful to get the two wrapped together but it is not clear exactly how this happens - how I can make it happen. This is getting really boring - playing the same level a zillion times. 😴😴😴. The last level I played a zillion times, I didn’t win it, King won it for me, sent a color bomb down during the sugar crush. I need something similar here. 😕

My best so far without boosters is 29 orders remaining and burned through my 5 lives in 7 minutes. The plus side to this level is I’m hardly paying candy crush anymore. Obviously after last few levels this must be what the developers are after. ����♂️
Now down to 22 remaining, All 5 lives gone in 6 minutes. No boosters. Such a fun game.

I agree!! I have tried everything!! It requires a lot of extra moves, & of course the lucky board! This game used to be fun!
I used up my boosters! All my gold bricks are gone!! Playing past levels over and over for free boosters is beyond tedious!! I really just need to quit!! It's not fun when every level requires a lucky board and boosters!!
Absolutely shocking level. It’s just not possible. I’m so fed up of playing it now and getting no where near. Boosters don’t seem to make any difference to completeing the level. I’m afraid after all this time, this is the level that has finished me on here. And I’ve got through some stinkers recently. Why change it to 50 from 18 moves from 40 from 26 unless you want to stop people playing. You’ve succeeded loosing me king. Hope you’re happy.

If you use a party booster in this level & it clears the board, does it count the waffles it clears toward the goal of 50 waffles? Not that I have one yet. I also add to the comments that the last few episodes have been ridiculously difficult to pass without or even with boosters & the fun has about all gone from the game, time to move on from CC, becoming tedious.
Another insane and sick developper created an impossible level to frustrate the CC players. I believe that it becomes time to stop playing King games and find real funny games. Will stop playing now till this has been adapted. Will look from time to time

Well.... Done on 3rd try thought I was going to be here awhile started with full space bot but didn't use the cb together used them on the wraps waited til wraps were at top & used them together also used stripes & done 😀

Finally passed this horror by using 6 hammers, 2 switches & 10 gold bars for extra moves. Hit the wraps at the top, banged 2 wraps together, & hammered the stripe at the top, and also lower stripe when under the wrap. All boosters earned in sugar track, just takes a while to get enough to get the level.
Kings... they are killing themselves. No possible comments to such level. They are pulling our legs hoping that we shall be so idiot to buy 50 gammers. Forget it! Goodbye!

Impossible level. I guess this will be the end of the game for me.
It took me 2 days but I passed with 3 stars. I focused on opening up that middle area so I could create color bomb combos and definitely kept an eye out for 2 wraps directly below the waffle squares at the top.
This level wasn't fun and I have given up on keeping current. I had to buy extra moves and I am completely disgusted with King because I think they are really targeting those of us who have made it this far.
Therefore, I am (graciously?) bowing out of the winner circle, for the purpose of curbing the amount of money I spend on this game. I accept I cannot give it up, but I can give up on the amount of money I spend.

I have given up staying in a current group too. It was really hard at first to be “left behind” but i’ll get over it. Besides, I was being controlled by Cc instead of me controlling the game. Haha. I admit I still am very much addicted to this game. ��

I have been on this level for days. I have started this level by swishing 2 cbs together - nothing. I don’t understand giving some players 26 moves then just out of the blue it is changed to only 18 - that stinks! I want Candy Crush to just be fun again not something that makes me take anti acids! HELP!

Echt niet te doen!
Have used full helmet over and over. Tried CB CB combo and CB wrapped to start. Never got close. You don’t need boosters here. You need a miracle. CC you have taken the fun out of this game and replaced it with your greed. But when buying boosters is not the answer to beating a level, what is the point.

I think King makes it purposely extra hard for sadistic reasons.

You 2 describe it so well, feel the same and decided the same. Without the self-made pressure "to keep up" I feel much better. Still love playing CC (and still feel stupid when levels are so much harder after a while than designed originally), but experienced it's also nice to read a book again or watch a film without CC on my side 😉
Yes... I would buy and have bought boosters, but firstly CC increased the prices by 50 % or more, which is over the top and secondly boosters sometimes cannot help but solely a lucky board... and then its even more frustrating to have paid so much in vain. My solution... Play less and wait for the lucky board. They arrive always, otherwise, we would not be here at almost 4000

Tou52 is right, it's easier again. Still struggled a lot, tried several possibilities with and without boosters. Here the one that won: CB+Stripe for a starter, quite some stripes fell from the right dispensers and fortunately got once a wrap/wrap combo in the bottom (you MUST wait until both are on the top, that is the killer!).
I agree that this is an extremely hard level that probably requires boosters, of which I have none....my other concern, however, is that stripes only drop on one side...does anyone else have this problem?....at this juncture, this will require a lot of luck, as usual....

King. READ THIS BLOG! you have a lot of very unhappy campers. The main bitch is the way you change levels to make them harder after the leaders have completed them. We should all be playing the same bloody game. Ditto with reset, we all should be able to do it or nobody should. What don't you get about FAIR!

Only 11 levels before level 4000. It is close but still far when we have levels like this. I used my 5 lives in 10 minutes and the closest result was 19 waffles still on board. Lucky board please.
