Hints and tips showing how to pass level 4245 Candy Crush Saga without boosters by Cookie
Level 4245 Candy Crush Saga is an orders level, you have to clear the cake and the waffle in the top corner and grow the two popcorns.
Don't try to clear the cake with combos, it isn't possible as the locked licorice will block your combos. Concentrate on growing the popcorns as this is the key to clearing the level.
First grow the popcorn in the top left using stripes and wraps, the resulting colourbomb will drop through into the top right next to the red key. Clear the red key with the colourbomb and this will unlock the yellow candy and the popcorn bottom right.
Next you need to grow the popcorn on the left and the colourbomb will drop through next to the yellow candy. Clear the yellow candy with the colourbomb and this will detonate all the yellow wraps and clear the cake, job done!

I made the mistake of using a tick booster. Do not do this. It gives you an extra popcorn to grow. Then follow the instructions above cleared it second time.
I agree with SweetE, do not use a tick booster. Concentrad to grow the popcorn in the left corner. Good luck

Glad to say that I don’t have time to play this game much any more. Perhaps just an hour or so at weekends. Boring.
Why do people come on here just to say they are leaving!, good tip about the tick booster.
I did something you should never do in this game. I got angry and blasted the last two jellies with all of my six hammers because the last one got covered by a full waffle. After many tries at not even clearing the chocolate, I was too frustrated to care.

My board has extra blocker on popcorn and less moves. Posting for a lucky board.
I've got 17 moves, not 20, and as commented above, an extra blocker over the popcorn. It took most of my moves just to clear the extra blocker. Posting for some of Roger's luck! = )
I DID use a tick booster, but still got it on the first go. I had 2 choc balls as well to start as well and used a hand switch to put them side by side. Once I combined them, the resultant explosions more or less cleared the whole board!
Read all the hints after my 1st try

Then you were lucky. My first CB CB opened the red key, but then it stopped and I was stuck, because the first yellow key was gone, but it did not start the bottom yellow candies, so I had no chance
When I do it like in the video, the best I got was 1 move left (the second CB was free, but could not connect it with the yellow key). I have used up all my hammers, so in fact it's very very boring trying to open the CBs as you only need luck
To avoid using a hammer go either back, play minimum 2 old levels or take your own CB + wrap/stripe booster. Reset until it looks good = that the popcorn gets hit at least 3 times (2x by wrap + additionally stripes). I was lucky and after 3 moves, the first popcorn was gone. The next one is more difficult, but you can also do wraps or stripes in the upper part because they fall down when you work in the bottom again. When you have the second popcorn and one move left, you have won as CB + yellow key finishes this level.
BORING!!!! This level is all about luck or expensive boosters!!

I feel your pain! I’ve done something like that in the past. Like you, I used up my boosters in frustration and, like you I did not win the level. CC brings the worst in us sometimes, doesn’t it? (*_*)
You still have the space dash available to you? I’ve lost that a long ago. I miss it a great deal on a level like this. But oh, well. Hoping I could beat this without any boosters like Cookie did.

Odd level with not enough moves. No option of popping back to level 606 for a few goes to get the space dash or bots or whatever they call it now, as they have stopped me doing that.With these difficult levels, that's a real handicap!!

It’s all different for everyone. Seems like they roll out changes in a staggered way to assess the impact. Also depends on if you’ve done updates or power cycled your device.

This level is impossible and boring! I can't get anywhere so it's just a waste of time and that says a lot since we have all made it this far and this will be the level that causes me to quit. The only way to beat it is to save up a TON of boosters and get the 15 extra moves on the free spin. Not worth it. It's strange that this level is not considered "nightmarishly hard" like the previous level which I passed in two tries.

Hi fellow CCers,
soon after I read the tips given here. I had to start w/CB and striped+wrapped and ofc the unmissable lucky board.
The initial layout put the CB far away from the other 2, so I had to make 2 moves to get the CB adjacent to the striped, detonated and luckily the wrapped bomb helped to knock out the 1 popcorn.
Here you should check the left side BEFORE you detonate the CB w/the red key as, in my case, there were 2 wrapped candies and the possibility to make an extra striped. Once I made the latter I then detonated the red key and miracle happens ONLY in CC the following explosions knocked out the 2nd popcorn.
That is the end of the episode really, the blowing cake will take out the only waffle.

Same old same old: king in control, getting special candies coming out of nowhere to complete the level. 20 moves for King, 17 for players. A total scam. Time to go to another game that is challenging and not controlled.
How many times do you have to hit that popcorn? In the video you hit it 2 times. I hit it 4 times and still no colorbombs. What a total sham this game has become. Outta here!

this is so ridiculous, not even get closer with only 17 moves and net cover the popcorn make it harder. to grow 1 popcorn need 4 moves and to match the candy to become colorbombs or wrap need more moves. so this level is absolutely impossible to pass. i know king want us to spend money for this game. so....im not excited anymore to play this game. im done

Why is 4245 not classified as nightmarishly hard? I've played the level more than two dozen times and only cleared the first popcorn twice. Can't even begin to attack the second popcorn. This is ridiculous.

This level is 100% not winnable without using boosters. There is not enough room to do all you have to do. Even a lucky board would not help. The only way to win this level is to use 100% boosters. Seriously, I am not kidding. And then you might not do it because of the limited moves. I’ve never seen a level like this and I’ve seen some really hard ones. This one is just about not possible and then only possible with boosters galore and fingers crossed.
