Hints and tips showing how to pass level 5188 Candy Crush Saga without boosters by Cookie
Level 5188 Candy Crush Saga is a dual task level, you have to collect all the ingredients and clear the jelly to complete the level. The ingredients will drop out of the exits as soon as the keys are collected so you can forget about them completely.
If you want to pass this level without boosters you will have to clear as much jelly as possible in the top part of the board and unlock the locked licorice while you are waiting for the chocolate to eat the keys and unlock the board. Once the board is unlocked you will have very few moves left to clear the jelly.
Another method could be to use a colourbomb/stripe combo and hope that one of the stripes collects the keys, but this relies very much on luck as there is no guarantee that any stripe in the bottom row will be sideways.
It is possible to complete this level without boosters if you are patient and have a bit of luck in the final 4 moves, (I got down to needing one more move to clear the jelly) so if you have plenty of time and no boosters you can do it.

Was able to set off a horizontal stripe in the bottom row first thing from timed boosters for a good start in getting the keys!
I just started this level today. I wasted two colorbombs plus a UFO without passing. I am wondering if the best thing to do is wait till I can get close and just buy extra moves.

Absolutely NOT possible without boosters, don't even waste your time trying. Spend eight hours almost straight and best I got was 4 to go.
Won boosters and success.. trust me extremely difficult.
Omg I can't see how I'm ever going to pass this level to start with it has my pet hate CHOCOLATE which is a nightmare as its blocking everything and making it impossible for me to make any special candies I've not got below needing 12 jellies to clear I really need help here possibly a lucky board soon 😡😡😡😡

Stupid level. You can't set much up in the limited space to be used in only four moves.
Switch the far left two keys so you can swipe the left 3 keys together. Use all your boosters. Try to combine fish with wraps. That's how I passed.

i dont have any hand switch neither any booster to start the level so i guess thats the end of this game !

Passed it in second try. Started with a color bomb and reset til it was in the bottom row. Paired it with a yellow key and keys were gone and board opened up in the first move.

Passed it at last, after wasting hours as everbody else before the last 4 moves. Had not cleared much on this particular deal, when out of lives. I just saw I had 1 unused wrapped candy and a possible color bomb next to it, given an impossible 1 extra move.
Then the miracle: got offer to watch an ad, and a spinnnig whell after that gave me 15 more lives. I cleared the board in 2 extra moves: color bomb first, and then color + wrapped did the rest. But yeah, stupid level. Only Extreme luck can help! PS: player name 'Divine!'

Yes...no matter if you clear the board, when they drop, only 4 moves. I guess I'll have to wait for a colorball or horizontal to appear at the bottom and clear the keys. I had an hour with a stripe/ wrap and colorball and they never shoeed up at the bottom. I like a challange, but hate just waiting for a lucky board. No skill involved with that.

Due to Covid-19 I have been at this level for 2 or 3 days being a senior with no other pastime. I am pretty good as I have reached this level but this 5188 is too difficult and the designer needs to try this again. Please encourage us to stay home during these difficult times. A good board would help or free boosters would me much appreciated.

Thankyou for 24hrs of free lives for lockdown. Unfortunately, I am stuck on the most tedious level in the history of the game without any boosters and therefore don’t benefit, please free me from the torment of this level.
Well, I have tried replaying level 606 20 times to see if that’s how people get so many boosters, I didn’t get anything, what am I doing wrong? Will I ever get off this level? Can it be done with no boosters? How long will we be in lockdown? Is this level addling my brain? 🙏🏻

I have spent hours on this level. Waste all the moves to get to final 4 moves in the vain hope I might receive a lucky board. I have never felt this annoyed by any level before, please get me off so I can take advantage of the free lives. Please.

It’s now more about boosters or extra moves which I truly hate and there are too many of these levels. Don’t forget throw in very few moves and many obstacles to make it hard. Simple recipe really. Very few enjoyable though challenging levels. Candy Crush has lost the plot. Can’t blame them really it’s already thousands of levels they have created and they have run out of good ideas.

Worst and most annoying level I’ve ever encountered... basically you’ve four moves to clear the board at the end!!

I’ve got through ones that are listed ‘nightmarishly hard levels’ quicker than this!!
I like a challenge but this is ridiculous, you need half a dozen hammers to destroy the keys at the bottom before you start in order to have any hope of winning!!

I had 30 minutes of a free color bomb. When it started next to a key, I switched them. Then I was able to clear the board.

By a total stroke of luck, I got two wrapped candies when all the keys were gone and the cherries dropped, but only one move left. I had to use a hand switch to get them together, but it worked!! Thank you baby Jesus!

Hmmm...I only have 3 moves left once the board opens up.
When you have a hand swap, move the last key on the left inward and combine the three keys. The other keys are quickly covered by the chocolate and the board opens. It was easy after that. Used no other boosters. Good luck everyone.

Sooooo basically 4-6 moves to clear the jelly since getting the keys is a total waiting game. I used a color bomb hoping it would be at the bottom, but no, it was in a place where it was useless and couldn’t be used. Thanks!!

Oh come on. I have not seen a color bomb and then you show it right there in the bottom. This is impossible. Come on, I am always coming up to a harder one as you change it in your favor. I just wait till the 4 ahead of me pay and move on, then I suddenly get a wonderful awesome win. Not really that much fun anymore. I get nothing on this one until I have 4 chances Absolutely impossible.

Such an infuriating level. As someone said earlier, why not just shorten the board and start with 4 moves. It's just time wasting.
I can clear the first lot of jelly no trouble but by the time the keys are finally eaten by chocolate there's no opportunity to make special candies that will help. What a life wasting level.....and that's game lives and deefenbaker life as well.

Normally I write praise to Cookie for tips & video--now I am calling BS. Not any help, Cookie, when your color bomb booster opens the board--I call that a LUCKY BOARD --NOT Skill. This is a total money grab. The 2 times I used a color bomb, they placed them on the outside of the board so they weren't able to hit anything. A complete waste of boosters. I'll just have to play until I get a lucky board.

If you can get a vertical stripe to take out the second layer of chocolate before it starts spawning, it will only spawn the first layer of chocolate which opens up the upper board a lot earlier.

I think this really is the end for me, ridiculous level, you end up with four moves which is nowhere near enough to clear the board, I have no boosters and refuse to buy any so thank you and goodbye, it’s been a blast but all good things must come to an end.

Use hand switch & move last key to the right, match the 3 keys & you get a lot more moves to clear jelly.

A hundred players on this level? Where are they? Look at the comments and you know enough! To sad for words. This game lost all reality and fun. So players, play this game as fill-up like I do. Get and collect free boosters everyday without playing. Play is waisting your time.

When I try to us color Bomb the game puts it behind a fence and I can never activate it. This might be the round that makes me delete this game. It is impossible.

Ok so guess I have to wait to get a stripe in the bottom and hammer it to get the keys because you can’t get the jellies in 4 moves.
I used a hand switch to get the two far left yellow keys next to each other than moved the third one from the left to make a match of three. The chocolate then covered the keys to the right and I had plenty of moves to collect the jelly.
